McMorrow Construction Inc

Upon the recommendation of a friend, we contacted Matt McMorrow about an estimate to remodel 2 bathrooms. Our friend had used him to remodel her kitchen and after seeing her remodel job, we called TopShelf Kitchen / Matt McMorrow Construction about an estimate for our bathrooms. He came out and took measurements, wrote down the fixtures we wanted to replace. We discussed moving a wall to enlarge one of the bathrooms. We were replacing pretty much everything.....shower, tub, flooring, vanity, toilet, etc. He was very pleasant and said that he had done many bathrooms and would have an estimate to us the middle of the following week. Next week came and went and we waited another week without hearing anything. We sent an email on a Friday and with no response, called the following Wed. and spoke with Erin (his custom designer at his showroom). She pulled up our email and said that he had responded the evening before and said that he would have an estimate to us by the end of the week. Funny thing, though....that email never arrived at our home. My home email is also forwarded to work and it never arrived there. I know emails can be lost, but the promise that the estimate was coming "by the end of the week" never happened. Our original visit was 3/5/12. It is now 5/19/12 and we have heard nothing. We sent a couple more emails and phone calls--even asking him just to let us know if he was too busy or if this job just wasn't a big enough money-maker for him, but no answer from him or Erin, his associate. Our friend is somewhat hesitant now to refer anyone else to him, considering how he has blown us off. Even if he had told us he was no longer interested in providing an estimate, we would have been OK with that, but he refuses to answer. His total lack of communication was very unprofessional. We cannot recommend Matt McMorrow. Even though he did a beautiful job on our friend's kitchen, I'm afraid our treatment overshadows that.
