Jim did an excellent job and the house looks great. I was able to give him the keys to my home and only had to check in a couple times to monitor his progress. Jim kept me well informed of any problems he encountered and was very fair in repairing issues over and above the original scope of the job. He replaced drywall that was damaged and uncovered a couple places that had mold and fixed the problem. The job was completed on time and he returned promptly when we identified a couple areas that needed to be touched up. As a bonus, he brought my wife and I fresh tomatoes and peaches each time we met...what a character. I would reccomend him highly for the quality of his work and exceptional pricing.
Description of Work: Jim and his team repainted the interior of my house, approx 3600 SF. This job was especially challenging due to some very high ceilings, unique slope of the ceiling in the master bedroom, and job staging from the deinstallation and reinstallation of extensive artwork throughout the house.

At first it went very well. The woodwork turned out great, and the painting was the same. But as time dragged on, Ralph apparently had another job to start, so he had all his men come and "rush" through the last day into the night. That last day the work was sloppy, varnish on the wood was also on the adjoining walls, ceiling and wall joints were overlapped and uneven. He also did work I told him not to. Until that last day everything was fine, although he insisted on "skim-coating" one room that didn't need it and NOT skim-coating the next room that DID need it! At the close, he added the cost of the woodwork on. Some time later, I went back, and discovered that he had included the woodwork in the original estimate. My (BIG) mistake. I just closed the book on that chapter I doubt if I would hire him again.
Description of Work: painting 7 rooms and woodwork stripping and staining on one flight of stairs-steps, rails, etc.
