They started alright but they ran out of asphalt and you could tell they were laying down a thinner layer then what was there in the past since there was a gap between the new driveway and the edging of the lawn. There was also a dip in the driveway where they had to stop and wait for another truck of asphalt to arrive. I did call them to come out to look at the dip. It took a number of weeks for them to finally come out and then they said that it would be fine and it shouldn't be a problem. They did say if something happened in a year they would come back.

Had originally checked referernces on company and everything looked good. I did not know that company had just been sold and it was under new ownership. Came and gave a reasonable estimate, so that along with references helped us make decision to us them. Had given me a starting date and actually came to house and wanted to start earlier. We were out of town and asked them to wait 2 days which they agreed to. They tore out the old driveway completely and then began with new driveway. When we looked at the driveway that evening we immediately noticed that the asphalt had run over an area of our evergreens and had actually gone to the stem (a run off). The edges were very crooked and there were 3 large dips in the center of the driveway that woiuld definitly gather water. The owner came and said he would fix everything. He was sorry and had actually fired the person that did the driveway because he had gotten a couple of similar complaints. He said not to worry, everything would be fixed. They did come and fix the edging, however those evergreens died. When they finally came to replace the evergreens, they installed a different type of evergreens which did not match the other 3. Those actually died because I don't believe that they were planted correctly. They also sent someone to fix the dips, but they did not do anything about the 3 areas in question, they actually seemed to patch another area in the center of the driveway. This looked terrible for a new driveway. They refused to do anything about the mess they had made. Even our city inspector could not believe the way the driveway looked. We still owed them a third of the money and we refused to pay them until they fixed it correctly. We had other companies tell us that the only way to fix it was to tear it out and start again. The next thing we knew the hired an collection attorney to collect the money. We hired an attorney and had pictures of the mess. Their attorney did not pursue the matter; he could see that we had a valid complaint. We did not hear back from them at all after making several calls. They had a representative call us and try to make a deal on getting more of the money who repeatedly apoligized and admitted to the bad quality of the job, experience, etc. We told him, too little, too late. If they fixed it correctly, we would pay them the money due. Did not hear back from them at all. After approximately 3 months later we received a lien on our property. To date that lien remains and we are considering filing suit. I would never, never recommend this company to anyone. Terrible work and much worse customer service. The driveway is now cracking off along the edges and has many dips. We have been told that this is because it was not pressed, packed corredly to begin with.

It went excellent. They were professional. They did exactly what they said that they were going to do. They put in part of the driveway, that was not in the initial plan, that we had wanted with out charging me extra. The quality of their work was excellent, also.
Description of Work: They came to my house and they took out the old asphalt driveway and then they repaved it.
