Dan came over first day before cement dried and asked me for hammer and beat posts farther in ground his guys had left to high knowing they were making mistakes he leaves next day on vacation they continued making mistakes and then walked off job and head installer text me and said he quit working for Dan affective immediately and any issues I would have to take up with dans garage door service noone there could help me and said I would have to wait for Dan to return in 3 weeks after he returned I reached out to them repeatedly for over a month before getting him to come by when he finally did he said they were giving me no money back on my $1750 deposit and would rather I get someone else to repair.i had several legitimate fence companies look at their work noone wanted to touch it and said they would not be happy if their guys did this work and was obvious they did not know what they were doing.

Response from DAN'S GARAGE DOOR SERVICE
On July 14, 2021, we were hired to complete a labor only job for Mr. [Member Name Removed]. During the course of the job, our fence installer quit and left the job site unfinished. We very much regret the actions of our employee and understand that the job was left in an unsatisfactory condition until such time that Dan could return from his scheduled vacation. Upon Dan’s return, we offered the customer (Option 1) to replace all of his materials at our cost and allow him to find another fence company to complete the job, or (Option 2) that we would complete the job at a later date once we hired new fence installers. The customer chose option 1 to be reimbursed for the materials at a cost of $1897.34 which exceeded the deposit he paid of $1750. The customer signed a letter stating that he accepted this settlement offer in the form of a cashier's check and that he released Dan’s Garage Door Service for all further liability. This letter was signed and dated on September 20, 2021. To our knowledge, the customer was satisfied with the resolution until we read this review today on November 12, 2021. As a company, we want our customers to be completely satisfied as it is only by reputation that any business can stay in business. A “good name” in the community is what we strive to maintain. We deeply regret that we were not able to satisfy Mr. [Member Name Removed]’s expectation of service.

Excellent A+++++++++. Not only was the repair done right - it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. Called three companies - one didn’t service my area, the other was local but used a call center who put my address in Chicago, Illinois which is 5 hours from where I live, and the other quoted me twice the price of Dans Garage Door. We are happy campers and highly recommend Dans Garage Door for all your garage door needs.

VERY, VERY POOR PERFORMANCE. APPOINTMENT MADE TWICE WITH OWNER AND HE HAS FAILED TO SHOW UP ON SCHEDULED TIMES AND NO PHONE CALLS WHY.
Description of Work: NO WORK PERFORMED. HAS NOT SHOWN UP FOR 4 WEEKS NOW AFTER 3 PHONE CALLS.
