+ -1 moreHe came out to the house and went through my bathroom requirements with me and we set up a meeting for him to submit his bid. I had to cancel the meeting but asked him to submit the bid by mail/email. When I hadn't received the bid in a week, I called him. He said that he needed to meet to present it. I again asked for a preview due to a busy schedule. He said very abruptly, "Then I'm not interested". That was that. I declined to pursue the bid, thinking that if he was that inflexible on the bid, we would have trouble down the road.
Description of Work: Requested a bid for a bathroom renovation, which he specializes in.

+ -1 moreWHILE A VERY NICE PERSON TO MEET AND TALK WITH. JOEL IS A TIME WASTER. HE SAID HIS CHARGES WERE $75. PER HOUR, GAVE US AN ESTIMATE OF SOME $2,500-3,000. BUT I WORK AT HOME, KEPT TRACK OF HIS HOURS, NO MORE THAN 25 ACTUAL WORK HOURS. PLUS THE WORK WAS INCOMPLETE AND FAULTY ELECTRICAL AND OTHER WORKMANSHIP NECESSITATED AN ADDITIONAL $1,000 IN EXPENSES WITH OTHER CONTRACTORS TO CLEAN UP THE INCOMPLETE AND FAULTY WORK LEFT BEHIND.
Description of Work: GENERAL REMODELING CENTERED AROUND ELECTRICAL REWIRING AND RECESSED LIGHTS INSTALLATION AND DRYWALL PATCHING IN PREPARATION FOR PAINTING.
