Description of Work: replaced 20 large windows in 2009. Went very well. Loved the quality of the windows. Finished the remaining 5 windows in 2013. Installation again went well. Windows are beautiful, easy to clean and work perfectly. My husband was against having the windows replaced, but now says it's the best improvement we've made!

Description of Work: Renewal by Andersen replaced all 26 windows, the front door with side windows and transom and sliding glass doors to back yard. The only hiccup in the process occurred when we experienced the brutally cold winter this past year and ice formed on the inside of the windows from condensation due to humidity in our house. That damaged some of the wood finish on the windows. Andersen sent the painter who initially finished the windows and in a few hours, they were made to look new again. At the present, almost a year later, the windows still look great. They are easy to clean from the inside too.

Description of Work: Our 20 year old Anderson sliding doors had become more and more difficult to "slide" over the past year. Finally they ceased to move at all. Master's Millwork diagnosed an issue with the support beam above the doors. They came out and fixed the problem and the doors are working brilliantly once again.

Description of Work: We had almost all the windows in our home replaced. The installers did a fantastic job and the company has been terrific about addressing some very minor problems that have come up. We had one custom window that did not slide properly. The technician that came out knew exactly how to fix it and everything works great. The only issue we have is the quality of some finer points of the windows. We have one where the trim around the casement lock keeps coming off. One of the screens is already coming apart. Overall though we are very happy.

Description of Work: We purchased replacement windows (entire home) and a patio door. While I am completely satisfied with the final product, there were a few bumps in the road. 1.) I would say the sales side of the organization oversold the project in the sense of promising things the installation side of the organization could not or would not deliver. While this does not affect my option of the final result, I would question the wisdom of this approach. 2.) The installation team made a number of mistakes in the installation which rendered the windows non-functional. They have since reinstalled all effected windows resulting in a correct installation. However, it was disconcerting to have such mistakes occur in the first place. That being said, I believe that the real issues is how you handle your mistakes, not that you never make a mistake. As such, I am satisfied with the work and would highly recommend them based on the final result. | |Finally, I read a lot of negative thinks about this organization prior to contracting with them. Primarily with regard to service and price. While my decision to use them was strictly driven by the quality of the product, I have to say that nothing that I read in the many reviews seems to be true. The company is generally very response and I think honest in their dealings. The price is lower than the competitors when comparing them to other high end windows. They are certainly much more expensive than vinyl, but who wants vinyl windows. I certainly do not. When comparing them to wood windows, they are of the same or higher quality and are offered at a lower cost. | |In summary, my wife and I are very happy would highly recommend this organization.

Description of Work: We had 4 windows, a patio door and a storm door installed on a 2 1/2 story town home. John Cain was the rep that came to our home and helped us choose what fit our budget. He and Andersen were GREAT at helping us deal with the paperwork that goes with living in a town home community and having to deal with an H.O.A. and getting approvals. We just gave them the H.O.A.'s phone# and they took it from there. They even called to move up our install date when the windows were ready ahead of schedule. The installers were very nice professional men. Arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. Even when they had to return the next day to finish the job. Nothing was left laying around or dirty. They vacuumed and covered any surface that might be affected and laid plastic on my carpet to protect it. We are very happy with every aspect of our service from Renewal by Andersen and would gladly recommend them. I want to note that I was leary about going with Anderson because of some of the prior comments. My mom had Andersen Windows years ago and loved them but had used an non-Renewal by Andersen contractor for the install without realizing it. I remembered the trouble she had and asked her before making my decision and her only complaint was with the installer. She loved the windows. Moral is: contact Renewal by Andersen and get an authorized salesman who will send out Andersen trained installers. It's worth it! Thank you to John Cain and to our very nice installers who went above and beyond to finish our job.

Description of Work: We replaced all but a few windows in our house, including some very large windows. They were first rate in all aspects of the job from beginning to end, hauling the old windows away, the staining, etc. The overall coordinated service was superb. Only downside is that you pay for it - it isn't cheap! But it was nice having one vendor that took care of all aspects of the job, and did so superbly.

Description of Work: I called to get an estimate to replace all of the windows in my home. The decision has been made to do the project and will do it with another provider (Pella). I scheduled a day off of work to have three in-home consultations. Renewal by Andersen refused to be one of the providers because my wife was not going to be present. Very dumb of them and made me feel like I'm not qualified to make a decision (even though I own/run a business with 170 employees). Very unprofessional as well as not being a smart business move.

Description of Work: Andersen Windows are great.....installers were on time and left absolutely no mess after removal of old & install of new. I had windows installed 3yrs previous & requested same installers & Andersen sent the same crew. The only issue I had was with the salesman Ken W......poor in responding to emails & overall attitude. I will call AW when we are ready to replace the foyer entrance.

Description of Work: This time Andersen replaced a three-across window set (including two casement windows) with a half-round above, as well as a fixed custom window with an arched top. They did a wonderful job of cleanly installing all the windows and matching the trim to the rest of the house. This is exactly what I had expected, since 5 years earlier they had replaced nine double-hung windows, and I had the same wonderful experience then. The windows are not cheap, but they are of extremely high-grade quality and the installation experience was excellent. I am completely satisfied with my new windows and recommend them without reservation.

Description of Work: Renewal by Anderson's professionalism and quality is excellent. yes, the windows are not inexpensive, but you truly get what you pay for. We replaced 1/2 of our windows and plan to replace the remaining ones within a year. We will definitely replace them with Renewal By Anderson.

Description of Work: Replaced 22 windows and a steel door. Their sales rep, Carol Swain, was an excellent representative of the company and she gave us some great alternatives to the windows we were replacing. The installation crew completed the whole job in one very long day. The windows are coated and we've noticed a big difference in the heat buildup in the sun room - there isn't any and the air conditioning is much more effective.
