We have used them before that is why we used them again, they are great very professional everything we have had them do they always have done quality work, I have been very satisfied with the work.

The project started in May and after several visits to the house to take measurements by different people, and several months of waiting, we received two of the 8 windows were measured wrong. These were single casement windows with arch fixed windows above. The arch on the top windows was way off. They were installed and then after several calls to the local office (none initiated by Anderson), I received a delivery date of 6 weeks later. Then upon scheduling the install, the person doing scheduling state the original team would be out to do the install (which added 2 weeks), and when they arrived, it was totally different people. Finally the painter that was used to paint the windows, didn't sand anything down or properly caulk the seams like stated during the walk-through. We paid over 1k for 10 windows to be properly sanded, caulked, and painted and only got 7 completed. Very disappointed in the overall services and communication of this project, let alone the staggering price for "custom" windows. I have had 0 calls from anyone at Anderson asking about the service or our satisfaction, if customer service is your selling point, you totally missed the mark on this one.

I had the same experience some other people did when it came to making the appointment. I was asked at least 4 times about whether I was the only homeowner. I told the person on the phone that I was the sole owner. She then asked me about who lived with me and whether I had a husband and kids. Then, she checked my tax records to see who was on the tax bill. It was unreal. The salesperson did come out. I had to sit through a formal 60-minute presentation on windows. It was just too much. I had 3 other people come out to give me quotes and no one put me through this formal presentation. Also, Andersen's price was the highest among the bidders because they would have had to replace the entire window frame and sill, and couldn't guarantee that my existing window treatments would fit with the new frame. I am going with Marvin Windows, instead. Even though I had heard it was the highest priced windows, they are actually doing the installation for $2,500 less because they don't have to remove the frame or sill. They just take out the window itself. My window treatments will not be affected at all.

The quote process was fine; the sales man was nice. They came to measure but, we have not heard anything yet. They also informed us that they would be a little slower with the door. But our last experience with them was really good. They also gave us 10% off because we are repeat customers.

2 women came and I told them I simply wanted an estimate on the replacement of one window and one bay window. They insisted on a long explanation of window materials, frames, etc. including a heat lamp to show how temps are reduced with different types of glass. The more they talked, the more I was sure that their estimate would be way too high. I tried to stop them and asked again for a ball park figure estimate. Then they wondered why I wasn't concerned about the types of window construction. I told them that my family is in the building trades and I knew about various materials, etc. It was an hour before they could give me an estimate which was WAY too high. Then they asked if I wanted financing! My last car didn't cost as much as these two replacement windows would cost.

They were very quick and efficient. The craftsmanship is great and I’m very happy with them.

We wanted to replace the living room window with a bow. Carol Swain, the salesperson came out to provide an estimate. She was friendly, knowledgeable and conducted herself with professionalism. It was a pleasure to work with her. We selected a 5 pane configuration with white vinyl for the outside and maple/birch for the inside. The window is supposed to be installed in about 6 weeks and staining done subsequently. I'll update with more info after the install/staining is performed.

To me they were OVERPRICED. I do not recommend the $40 for $400. Price: I was quoted approximately $2600 for 2 Small basic window replacements (not full replacement to the studs), which comes out to approximately $1300 per window, so $400 to spend is only 30% of the window. I guess after doing research and finding big box stores sell Renewal by Anderson (1 window is less than $400) I just can't fathom why the charge was so excessive especially when you consider another "A" company on AngiesList is offering 5 windows for $1999.00 (installation included). FYI the Sales Rep would not breakdown charge to product charge & then service charge, so I am unsure of that. Customer Service: first of all I recieved over 5 calls to confirm the appointment which I felt was a tad excessive. The the service rep called to ask to come early which I would not have mided if he did not arrive late (new time) because he was stuck at Marshalls. Also, at the end when we decided NOT to use them he made the comment "I guess you weren't prepared for how expensive it is". My advice - make sure you shop around.

Wow, I?m super offended. This woman just refused to schedule a consultation with me unless my husband was available. Really? So I?m not a decision maker in my house according to this person I?ve never met. As an aside, I didn?t ask my husband permission to write this review.

They were very professional the whole time, from the initial consultation to the install. The guys that did the actual installation were quick, which was nice since it was February. They were clean, repaired any damage done to the plaster walls (we have an older house with steel frame windows and plaster walls, which is a fragile combination), and cleaned up after themselves well. We will be using them again once we can afford to replace the windows on the lower level. They are a bit pricier than vinyl windows, but very high quality with a great warranty.

I did not select Andersen to replace my windows. I do believe that their windows are built better then most other brands but the price was more than double the other two quotes I received. Since I was only replacing two windows I did not qualify for their discounts but I suspect that all window vendors will offer larger discounts for larger orders.

I had rotting windows all around thehouse that need to be replaced. I first called in one company and gave them my order for $20K. That night I googled them and came across several horror stories. I canceled my order the next morning and invested a few bucks to join Angie?s List. I ran my search and came across three highly rated companies. I had them each provide me a bid. Renewal told me right off, that they were going to be the highest bid, but proceeded to show me why their product was worth the extra money. I had decided that their product was worth more, and I was prepared t give them the business as long as they did not go more than 25% above the competition. I was surprised when their estimate was close in line with the other two companies, only about 5% higher. The Installation went very well over a Friday and Saturday. They encountered more wood rot then anticipated on one big picture window and had to take off a good deal of the house exterior to replace it. They let me know there would be a small up-charge for the additional wood and labor, probably a few hundred dollars. I gave them the go ahead, and there were no other surprises. When the job was done, they called me out to inspect and pointed out that two windows were not ordered correctly. One left sided casement opened to the right rather than the left, so it didn't provide symmetry with the window on the right. Also, a large picture window 24 feet high, had an extra row of grids that didn't match the grid pattern of the windows below it. I don't know if I ever would have spotted either of these, but they pointed them out to me and told me they would order the correct ones and re-install them within a few weeks. They delivered on that promise, and said they were waiving the $300 cost of the extra wood and labor to make up for the inconvenience. It really wasn't an inconvenience, but the gesture left me impressed. They showed a high ethical standard by pointing out their mistake to me, and went the extra mile with the price reduction. I know, you could say they shouldn't have messed up in the first place, but mistakes happen all the time. It?s how you deal with them that separates the pro's from the amateurs. This company was all Pro. I would recommend them to anyone.

The presentation went very well. The salesman arrived on time and was very professional in his preentation. He answered all my questions and offered some suggestions which i found helpful. The cost was a little more than i wanted to spend, So I did not go with this company. Still considering if I will have this work done.

He was very knowledgeable and did a good job. In fact, he went above and beyond to reinforce the door so that we wouldn't experience the issue again.

The crew showed up right on time, removed and replaced some rotting wood around the windows and installed 4 double hung and 2 bay windows. The installation took about 8 hours and the new windows look great, the installation mess was completely cleaned up prior to the crew leaving. There are cheaper windows out there but, you get what you pay for and Andersen are top quality. I will be having Andersen replace more windows in the spring....Beautiful windows and outstanding service.

Based on meeting with other window providers, we expected to have to replace this window at a cost of approximately $1600 (the estimate we were given by other companies.) I was initially skeptical that calling a national 800 number would get me good service. However, Dave from Andersen was fantastic. He came over with four different bags of samples, a computer, a portable printer -- everything. He examined the window and gave me a bid on replacement, but then told me he thought they might be able to fix it for less. He called later to verify that and get it arranged. It ended up costing us about 60% less than what we thought we'd have to spend. Dave followed up with us early on to make sure we were being taken care of and the company was in contact with us. Andy was the service person who came out to measure, and later to install, the window. Very quick and easy, and he showed us how the window was damaged and why it had stopped working. It would have been very easy for them to say, "This window is 24 years old, you need to replace it." We would have believed them. But they assured us this was okay and that our other windows in the house were still holding up well (knock wood!) We also had Dave give us an estimate on replacing our very poor quality front door. He had all the different options with him and even the bid sheet had pictures of our different options (color, trim, with or without screen door). Unfortunately, their price was DOUBLE what we'd been quoted by another vendor -- otherwise, we definitely would have asked them to do that work as well. Both Dave and Andy were extremely knowledgable about the full range of products, and we're relieved to have a go-to vendor if we have issues with any of the other windows in our house. The cost of their products is the only negative, but I almost gave them an "A" because they saved us money in the end with fixing rather than replacing. Excellent experience all around.

Excellent experience. Went to the showroom to see the different types of windows and door available. Sales staff very helpful, but not pushy. We scheduled an appointment for a home visit. Be prepared for a lengthy stay in order to give you a price, but sales staff came in the evening. Installation started when it was scheduled and wrapped upin 2 days. Everyone was professional and courteous. I would highly recommend! My windows and new door look great!

I would refer them to family and friends. It was pricey but worth it, the quality was excellent.

They are excellent. They were very easy to deal with. They came out when they were supposed to, did great work and cleaned up after themselves.

About a week after we contracted to do the project the measurement guy came and did the measuring took a while to do it . The guy for the lead paint arrived approx an hour before the crew and sealed off the two rooms upstairs rooms.The crew arrived looked at the trim color selected for the project and noted a lighter shade than the other windows on the house and suggested and had delivered to the house the correct color to match with no delay to the work. They started the job on time and they placed more protective material to the interior so as not to damage or mess the areas they had to use to access the job area. They started to remove a window at a time removing all the woodwork inside and outside associated with the window weatherized, insulation, foam etc., then installed a window repeating the process until shortly after lunch it seemed, when another crew came to help finish the project. They went about the work methodically it seemed to me. The crews finished by installing all the outside woodwork cleaning as they went about the project. They removed and took with them all the old woodwork all the window hardware and cleaned up outside. The lead paint guy came back removed all the protective sealing and vacuumed the site. Then we inspected the job and instructed me in the care and feeding of the windows. A positive installation experience. The windows look very nice and feel solid my wife likes them very much that means I like them. All in all a tad pricey but so far so good, time will tell though.

, however, very reliable.The front door needed building up to accommodate a storm door. I should have asked for more options. I didn't shop around so I can't say that it was the cheapest price. It was, however, very reliable.

Renewal by Andersen was fast and efficient. It was pretty hassle free and easy. They cleaned up well after the job. The staff was very friendly and responsive.

Joe Choe knows his stuff about Andersen Windows. Joe came to our home and explained everything we needed to know, even had a window with him for demo. He is very personable and did not pressure us to buy anything. After we decided to go with Renewal, Joe did a pre-measure and explained that someone would schedule a day with us to do a more precise measurement. Joe was very good at explaining the finances, installation and every aspect of window installation. Buying windows, as you can see from the price we paid, is not a decision you make overnight. I did a lot of research, Consumer Reports, Consumer Checkbook, BBB, and especially here on Angie's List. So when we had Joe over, we had pretty much made up our mind that we wanted windows from Andersen. We wanted quality windows that were energy efficient, that would last a long time without any issues and would be easy to clean. I also did not want vinyl, aluminum, or wood windows. We actually wanted fiberglass and Andersen does not have fiberglass but a special material that is actually better than fiberglass. We also liked the warranty they offered on the installation and on the windows themselves. I was a little hesitant about having them installed during the winter, but Joe convinced us that they do it all the time. My sister actually had her windows installed in the winter. So we went ahead and scheduled to have them installed on January 10th of this year. I have to say we lucked out and the weather was pretty good - no snow! The 4 installation guys showed up (all great guys by the way) on time and got to work immediately. Each one knew exactly what they were suppose to do. They protected and covered our carpet and all our furniture where the windows were going to installed. It was amazing to watch them work and we couldn't believe how fast they installed the windows. Fast, but they were doing a quality job as well. They were able to get all the windows installed and I think it was about 6 PM they were done and we were going around checking inspecting each window. I can't say enough about the installers, they were all friendly and very professional about their work and answered all my questions. When they were done everything was picked up and there was absolutely no mess. They actually made an experience that we were dreading and turned it into a pleasant one. We got the Andersen windows with the inside that are oak laminate. They have to be stained and polyed which I did myself. If you get these windows be prepared for a long and tedious job, especially doing the grids for the windows, if you get them. I did a lot of the remodeling work in my house so I knew what I was in for. I have to say, they turned out absolutely beautiful and match the oak trim we have around the windows almost perfectly. Prior to having the windows installed, Joe dropped off some sample pieces from the factory so I could test them for the stain I would need to use. That was a big plus. All in all, this was a major expense for us, but again I have learned my lessons from the past that if you want quality you have to pay a little more for it, but in the end you will be much happier with what you have. We are and we love the windows, the experience and relationship we have with Renewal By Andersen..

Door replaced had wrong window. Instead of changing the window changed the entire door and side light. Took three months for door to come in but no side light - took another three months for door and sidelight but not exactly the right product as ordered. Did get a $150 refund but I had to be the one to call them for follow up. Poor follow up.

We had three window companies scheduled to give us estimates, but after Renewal by Anderson came first, we cancelled the other appointments. We were very happy right from the start with Renewal by Anderson's salesman (Joe) - he was not high-pressure and seemed to be very open and honest with us. He helped us look at various scenarios that would fit our needs and budget, and left us to think it over, waiting for us to contact him, not expecting us to make the decision on the spot which we very much appreciated. The people who came to measure were great, and so were the installers - working in extreme cold all day long! - and they were respectful of our house and belongings and yard. The follow up was also great and handled very professionally. When we felt that we needed to make a few changes after the installation, the company went the extra-mile to make us happy. Our windows are wonderful! The house feels so much more secure, warm and comfortable. We are very happy we did this and very happy we worked with Renewal by Anderson! We even had them back this year to replace all the windows in our family room. We would highly recommend Renewal by Anderson!
