John continued to bring up price and how expensive the windows were. He showed me a few things about the windows it seemed like he didn't care at all. I believe he thought I couldn't afford it and he was wasting his time. I asked him to measure and get me a quote but he wanted to reschedule a measure even though he was right here. He asked me who was making the decision on the window purchase I assured him it was me. I recall on a phone appointment confirmation yesterday that the representative stated that they looked on public record and saw that there is two homeowners on the house. I explained that my husband has recently passed away and I am the homeowner. I don't believe they relayed this to John and he stated he would not go any further without all homeowners present. I then told him my husband was dead and asked him to leave. He of course, let my dog out on the way out and I had to chase her down the block. He didn't want to deal with a women and did not take me seriously at all. Horrible experience.

The entire process was easy and not nearly as stressful as I feared. Our sales rep Dan was polite and professional, and answered all of our questions. They kept us in the loop as far as setting up install dates and the progress of our order. The day before the scheduled install, we received text messages and an email reminding us that the installers would be there between 8-10AM each day (it was scheduled to take 2 days). The installers actually showed up and began work by 7:45AM, and managed to complete the entire job in about 10 hours...all 19 windows and the patio door! They were professional, polite and neat. They kept the mess to a minimum and cleaned up nicely after they were done. I offered them drinks and snacks, and they politely refused saying they already came prepared for the day (it was over 90 degrees out). They also walked us through the house before and after completion to show us how they would work, and then to make sure we were satisfied with the work, and that they didn't miss anything. Andersen had also obtained a building permit from the city, and the installer explained to us how to contact the city for the final inspection after they were done. As I write this review, the painter is here painting the trim that was replaced, and he, too, is polite, professional and very efficient. Overall, I think Andersen did a great job, from the beginning to the end of the process. Price-wise, they were a little higher than the other estimate we got, but I think well worth the money.

The presentation started out well. The construction, benefits, and quality of their product was explained in detail. I found that in order to hype their product it was often done by bad mouthing or misrepresenting a competitors product. There are a lot of virtues to their Fibrex product but it is not the only fiberglass product on the market. I found that through my research their are a good number of comparable window replacements to choose from at far less money. Do your research. I interviewed five service providers and from my experience the best thing I ever did was NOT to sign with Renewal by Anderson. I ended up with windows that are just as good for significantly less money. I will end this review with this note. At the end of the presentation I was presented a quote that included their discount from their stated retail. I reviewed it an upon showing a little reluctance I was offered "a today only price" if I signed now, "after all I am here now and another trip out adds extra cost to their project price". If I would have signed the proposal immediately do you think that they would have generously offered me the additional discount out of the goodness of their heart? I guess I must have initially looked like a sucker. It makes me wonder how trustworthy they are and what kind of other short cuts or money saving tactics they would have used if I went ahead with the project. The word professionalism definitely went out the window (no pun intended) Do your research, get multiple quotes, and if you have them give you a quote at least you will have some experience under your belt which will help you immensely in sorting out the wheat from the chaff.

Big meh. 1) Hard sell. They really put the pressure on. Luckily, we had already received other estimates, because the press you hard to close on the first appointment. 2) Iffy quality. For $5000, I got a sliding door where the lock is flimsily holding on. It feels really cheap. 3) Installation. The guys were nice, but they were compensating for quality. I pointed out, several times, that the door didn't lock. Their answer - seriously - was to put some weigh into it to close the door. For $5000, I need to lean hard into the door to get it to lock? Really? So, in summary, you get a hard sell on horrible quality and questionable installation. If you like that sort of thing, they are a great vendor.

It went well. They came on tome, the crew worked very well together, no problems. They cleaned up as they went and left the house in fine shape. I was very pleased.

He did a great job it was excellent. The company is a fabulous company and they've done great work for us. We had the first set of windows that they installed over 10 years ago on 11 windows and they are still in perfect condition and since we had such a positive experience we decided to use them again. The people that came over this time around were absolute professionals, respectful and on time.

The project took two days to complete. They arrived on-time both days. They took great care to protect all flooring and did a great job of cleaning up at the end of each day. They were very courteous. On the final walk through they actually pointed out all four issues (all minor) that would need to be resolved after-the-fact. I would have noticed three of them so I really appreciated them looking so closely at the work and I really appreciated not having to point out the issues -- they actually brought up all of them. All of the work was performed exactly as agreed to. The work -- inside and out -- is beautiful.

It worked out perfectly. We liked the workmanship and the quality.

They are a bit pricey but well worth it. A few of my plants got damaged during the install but I am very pleased with the outcome. I could only afford do a couple of them right now, but I do plan on replacing all of them with Renewal by Anderson slowly but surely.

Work was excellent. They were very polite. They were extraordinarily clean. They picked everything before they left. They protected the floors when working. They were right on time. The door operates well.

It is a beautiful door. Everything was good. We just have to call them back for some lock work. Other than that the doors been great. They have been very responsive.

Everything about this company is excellent but the price. I would not hesitate to use them if money is not an object. I chose to go ahead because the windows I was replacing were second floor bedroom windows that faced west. I had the low e glass installed to prevent the heat in the summertime. Their installers were professional and courteous and I felt comfortable with them in my home. A few weeks later they sent a person to stain the windows and trim to match my existing trim and he did a beautiful job. Again, I felt comfortable having him work in my house all day. So far, the windows are doing everything they are advertised to do. We have had some negative degree weather with wind chills and my rooms are warm. I will have to wait to see how the low e glass works in the summer. My only negatives are the price of the windows and installation and I had to hire someone else to take down and then put back up my shades and valances. It would be nice if they included that service in their pricing.

So far the windows look great. They haven't been put to the test very much yet temperature wise but that is coming up soon. They did a great job on the installation, they were very clean and efficient. We had Andersen windows in the past and we were very satisfied with them. They actually lasted almost 40 years before any replacement was needed!

We did not choose Renewal by Andersen and that was largely due to the appointment scheduling process and the representative who came to visit. First the appointment schedulers insisted they would only send a rep if both my wife and I were present. Why? That was not realistic in our situation. We both work and can't take time off together just to talk to a sales rep. Then, I received numerous calls and emails confirming my appointment and insisting that my wife be at the appointment with me. Again, why? So thy could try to close us in one setting? When the rep did show up he knew his product very well. I have no doubt Andersen Windows are a very good product. However, I don't appreciate anyone who comes in and trashes the competition - as if Andersen is the only viable product available. I mentioned the other vendors I was considering. His reaction was essentially, "why are you wasting your time with the other guys?". Why not? Why should I not consider alternatives during a major purchase? It was insulting and I did not appreciate his attitude. The final straw was the quoting process. I received a quote to replace all the windows. I was only receiving a discount if I replaced all the windows. That option just wasn't in our budget. Further, the quote ended up being 40% higher than the nearest competitor we reviewed. The competitive products were very similar in quality and in fact, had some of their own unique features. It's too bad but the appointment process and quoting process reflect very poorly on Andersen and prevented any chance for a sale.

A representative from Andersen came to our door in September to ask if we needed windows replaced. It was on that day that we started a wonderful process with Andersen, and we thank that lady for coming to our door. That consultation with the lady led to a follow-up phone call, and soon we had the most wonderful salesman from Andersen arrive at our house. We talked with him about buying a new front door including side windows, and Gil was most helpful and personable, and was not the slightest bit pushy. He helped us eagerly and knowledgeably through the process of picking out a door. When we found the door we loved, Gil helped us pick out the right color for the inside and helped us select the right details about the door and side windows, and while going over the process and the paperwork, Gil told us several times we would be thrilled. We were very excited after meeting Gil, and could not wait to have the door and side windows installed. In late October we received a call from Andersen to schedule installation. The man who installed the door (Alex) was prompt and spent hours at the installation, reviewing his work because he wanted it to be perfect. Alex was meticulous, experienced and caring. We felt very secure with him in that regard, and when it was done we knew he was pleased, and so we were doubly pleased. The front door and side windows are not only beautiful to look at on the outside but on the inside, too. The front door opens and closes like butter. We could not be happier and would recommend Renewal by Andersen to everyone.

Renewal by Andersen sales arrived for a estimate on time and we were very impressed by the quality of their product. We had previously had estimates from one vinyl window provider and another national window maker. While the pricing for the vinyl windows was significantly lower we couldn't match exterior color and we were convinced the low cost would look like low cost solution. The other national provider failed to follow up with a call after their estimate so we went on to Andersen. After agreeing to the replacement plan we scheduled a detailed measurement appointment where it was discovered that there was a slight adjustment required to fully match our existing window configuration. This required an adjustment to the cost but the result would be an exact match to our existing window layout. The install was scheduled and follow up calls a day before the install date confirmed their arrival. Day of install the team staged equipment, covered work areas in the house and began by removing window coverings. They covered everything with plastic and layed down floor covers to protect hardwood. They began removing existing windows and worked from 9am until after dark to complete most of the installation. The windows were mulled on-site and the care and professionalism was apparent as they fit the components into the openings and checked and recheck plumb and level, symmetry, etc. The remainder of the finish work was completed on day 2 of the install and the painter arrived to paint the interior woodwork to match the rest of our home. After completion they cleaned up inside and out, vacuum work areas and removed all the old windows, packaging, and other materials. The installer came back a week later to rehang window coverings. Great work and very satisfied with the entire process.

Reviewed three major vendors to make our decision. Decision was based on price, quality of product as reflected in reviews, and performance of sales rep. Salesperson, Dragan, was most effective and communicated well with us. Was detailed and careful as he prepared the order, giving us several options. Got back to us promptly as we had questions on whether or not to include the patio doors and the garage windows The person who came out and did the measurements, Mark, was also superb. He was very careful, explaining to us in detail the choices and found a way to be sure that we could keep the interior living room window treatments - which other vendors were much less clear about. Date was set for the installation. That is when problems started. The window replacement was being sequenced with roof replacement (done first) and siding replacement (done after the windows as per the advice of both contractors). Received first call from a staff person saying that the install date was only a "suggestion" and it would be a month later. We set a new install date. Then we received another call, saying that the patio doors were on back order, and we would have to defer the install several more weeks. We asked why we could not have all the windows done and then do the patio door later. We were told "NO"! We asked, since we had already been bumped back twice, could we have priority and not have to go to the back of the queue. Were told , NO" Received another call and were told that the patio doors were still not in. After considerable hassle, were able to get an install date the next week for the windows. Install crew for the windows (Casper's team) superb. Very efficient, very skilled, very careful.) They thought they had lost one of the brackets for the LR interior window treatment. Search everywhere. Could not find. Then in the cleanup, as they were putting the debris in the truck, one of the team found the bracket sill in the window frame that had been removed. Most impressive. Many screens did not fit well. Crew said that probably would have to reorder. Was very late in day by now, After 6 PM. We said, OK and contacted Dragan, A week later the patio doors were finally installed. That crew was not anywhere as good as Caspers. A rep came out to look at screens. Told us we could reorder now or wait until the spring as the process of cooling and warming in the winter could improve the adjustment. We said, OK, but wanted an email from him in writing indicating that we had reported the problem and did not want any surprises if we need to reorder in the spring. There would be no problem with insects, mosquitos etc as by now it was late in the fall. We paid all the remaining balance on the contract, except for $2000 which we were hold back until the screen and window shutter issues were resolved. No email came. Called and asked. Nothing came. Mark came out and took down the details on the shutter problem. Was able to "bend" back one of the screens so that it fit tightly. At the time he was with us, we had another commitment and needed to leave. Thus I said that having seen what he did, I could fix the other 12 screens for which there was a problem. NOTE: As the owner, I was going to fix the problem Mark came out and repaired the shutter issue on 13 November. I told him I would put the cc info in the mail the next day for the remaining amount. Then this morning, i received a call from a staff person telling me that the bill was going to a collection agency if it was not paid immediately, that it was 30 days overdue!! I was astounded! If anybody every signs a contract with Renewal and there is even a tiny aspect of the job that is not completed to your satisfaction, refuse to sign any document saying the work is done. You can trust the installers, You CANNOT trust the office staff or the bureaucracy. I asked the person on the phone if it was company policy to claim the work was done even though there were outstanding issues reported. She said yes, The fact that the screens did not fit or that there was damage to the window shutters that needed to be addressed did not count. If my only interaction with Renewal by Anderson were the people we saw face to face, the evaluation would be a A across the board. If my only interaction with Renewal by Anderson were the people on the phone or their administration, it would be a F. Is a real shame, as I think the product is of a high quality.

I thought that they were expensive and I decided to go with someone else. 4 years passed and I'm still getting spam emails from them. Just in the last week or two I got three...tried to block the email addresses or unsubscribe and even contact the person who visited my house, nothing helped. They are now using different domain names as well, probably to prevent blocking of their emails! the last email was from "Renewal by Andersen via dynect.net". I will never deal with them. Before you ask for a quote, consider that it might be impossible to stop any future unwanted emails. Also consider whether this provider is respecting customers and if not, whether this is the provider you want to work with. In my opinion if you disrespect customers in one way, you might do the same in other way directly related to the work product itself.

The windows are beautiful. The installers were very professional. The salesman was good, went over everything except the staining of the wood which was replaced when the windows were put in. We signed a contract for the job, without this in it., and gave them a check for half the price. When the man came to do the final measurements, he informed us we would either have to stain the wood ourselves or be charged more money. I did check the box which indicated we would do the staining, but after second thought was very bothered by this and called the salesman back stating, considering the price, we wanted this to be covered by the initial contract. It took some discussion with several people before this was finally settled with them doing the work without any further cost to us. We are very happy with it all.

Bought the voucher without knowing that they would only honor it to work on Anderson windows. My windows are unlabeled so they weren't able to honor the voucher I bought.

I am updating the review because after the painter finished staining the door and removed the "painters tape" that the installer had put on, we noticed that the frame was a little smaller that the original frame which means we have to touch up the paint around the frame. this is disappointing because when we originally agreed to all of this, I mentioned to the sales rep and the installer that the room has fresh paint - asked if will we have to go over it or if the new frame will cover everything. I was told not to worry, it will definitely cover, that they usually go a little over dimensions the old frame. now I have nice new walls, a beautiful new door, and about 1/2 of inch of old paint showing (which happens to be a different color) other than the inconvenience of having to repaint around the door frame it's ok

No issues other than we didn't know until after the fact what trim kits were and that trim kits were on only 3 windows when we expected all the windows to have new trim. But, I signed off on it before the work was done, so it's my fault. Otherwise, the windows are absolutely beautiful and we are happy with the product and service. Be sure you understand every line item on the work order before you sign off on it.

Renewal by Anderson would not even make an appointment with me to come to my home for an estimate on replacing 12 windows, 1 sliding glass door. They said that they only come to homes with all home owners in attendance. In this case it would me me and my wife. Would you believe that they even go as so far as to check the house records to see who is owns it, so if you say you are the only responsible party, they will double check. I asked if they wanted the opportunity to sell windows. She said yes, but did not want to schedule an appointment with just me at the appointment. This is the last company that I would ever consider for window replacement. I did meet with another very professional company today and I am likely to give my business to them because of how they treated their customer.

So far, it has been excellent! They were prompt and gave me a good price. They had a sale going on and they gave me a discount on the windows because I bought so many but that wasn't the real reason why I purchased it. The real reason was that I felt that they were reliable and they had good ratings on Angie's List. Their installation was excellent. They came in and did it and if I wasn't in the house, I wouldn't have known that they were even there. There was a broken screen and I brought it back in and they had no problems replacing it. I didn't have any problems with anything. Their products are excellent because we've already gone through one winter and now it's summer; I'm very happy with it.
