He was honest and professional. He took care of my problem. I've used them a long time when they were small. They've been around awhile and they use a lot of the same guys.

We have been using Pure Air exclusively for our furnace and air conditioning needs for the last few years, switching from another long-term vender. We were impressed when calling Pure Air for an air conditioning upgrade estimate a few years ago. All of their employees have been efficient, friendly and timely. We subscribe to a multiyear contract for air conditioning/furnace check/tune ups, hence the zero above. Although not the cheapest in price, their service is worth it. And their pricing is reasonable, all in all. We would recommend them if you live in our area.

We called John in after speaking with three other reputable contractors in the area that we've worked with on other projects. John was not only 1/2 the price of two, we knew he was trustworthy, knowledgeable, and solid - he had replaced the furnace in our previous home and had done quite a lot of work for our parents and other family members. We went through several scenarios (keep all radiators, remove a few, remove all from first floor) before deciding on removing just the ones in the kitchen and tiny powder room. The work was scheduled a week out to allow us to get permits, and Rick and Pete were here and gone in three days - job complete. They replaced and old furnace and air conditioning unit and ran completely new ductwork (with registers and returns) to cool our first floor. We also worked with them to choose a furnace that could handle the entire first floor, should we ever decide to remove all the radiators on that level. Rick and Pete were able to work on the fly when previous register placement plans didn't work. In addition to feeling we had the work done well and and a decent cost, John also helped us apply for rebates - which should net us about $1000 back on our project! We'd call them again!

I have known we needed new furnaces since last May, but I was putting it off for as long as I could! I originally contacted John at Pure Air Hearing and Air Conditioning around two months ago. I phoned the company on a Saturday and John was out the following Monday to give me an estimate. He was the third company to come give me an estimate on replacing our old furnaces with high efficiency furnaces. I felt John was the most thorough and also the most patient with me and my many questions. I even phoned John with more questions at least three more times before I made the decision to go with Pure Air! John was gracious and answered my questions every time. Having finally reached a decision, we scheduled the install for Monday, October 14th. Rick and Pete came out on the 14th for the install and they were great! They were efficient, neat and courteous. They also made sure I had heat at least on the first floor before they left on Monday. They finished the install Tuesday afternoon exactly as promised. John came by to check on things both Monday and Tuesday. It was a very pleasant experience all things considered! It should be noted that the first estimate I received from Pure Air was for approximately 7,800.00 which was the most reasonable of all the estimates I received. It was for two Ducane (Owned by Lenox) furnaces. I decided I wanted to go with a name I had heard of, so we switched to Bryant furnaces and went up almost 2,000.00, but it satisfied my peace of mind. We also received two Honeyell programmable thermostats included in the price. Pure Air was a great company to business with. So far, so good!

I thought they were upfront with the equipment that would fit the house best and were straight forward about the pricing process. The installers were on-time and cleaned up well after themselves. The units have been holding up well since. We had received a few estimates and Pure Air had competitive pricing. It is a good company to work with and I would recommend their services to others.

Very professional. Very helpful on the phone and in person. Peter did a great job. On time, on budget. Workmanship excellent and clean. Took the time to explain how it works and what maintenance I need to perform annually to keep it running well. He also explained the warranty (5 years parts, 1 year labor) and left the manual/instructions for me. Very pleased.

Called their answering service about 9:30 on Saturday morning, after furnace had stopped working over night. Got a call back 5 minutes later from Pete, who arrived at the house on time in about 30 minutes. I have an 11 year old Rheem furnace, PureAir mostly sells Trane and Amana. Pete was able to find a replacement part in the city and was back at my house an hour later to install it. He told me up front what the cost would be and did a quick job getting the furnace working. Happy with the experience and would use them again.

Installation went great and actually was performed quicker than estimated. Installers were full time employees of the company and were very friendly and knowledgable. They cleaned up each day and were great about explaining everything. John himself showed up several times to check on the progress of the installation and make sure we were happy with the work being done. This is a top-notch operation top to bottom!

They were outstanding. I find them to be extremely reliable. They pull up when they say they will and let you know if there will be an issue. I am extremely happy with their work and operating how the new air conditioner is operating. I have used 11-12 years and always happy with their work, especially one time when I called on a Saturday and they showed up in an hour!

My air conditioner failed during the night during a prolonged hot spell. Temperatures reached over 100 degrees three days in a row, and the overnight temperature did not go below 79 Degrees. I called for service early in the morning, and was promised service before the end of the day. At that time, they did not have their routing set, but they agreed to call me before they came. I received a call in mid-afternoon, promising to come in 30-45 minutes. The service person was prompt within that time window, and very rapidly reviewed the failure symptoms and then opened the unit and identified the failure source as a bad compressor capacitor. He replaced it and the system was running again. Given the climate stressing the units, and the probable backup after the July 4th holiday, I was favorably impressed by the fast response and quick repair. I was not ready for the price I was charged for the replacement capacitor. This capacitor was replaced one before, and at a much lower cost. The repairman said that the price for this part recently increased greatly, and compared it with the price of old freon going up. After he left, I checked the price of the capacitor from a major parts supplier and found that it was less than 10% of what I was charged. While I expect the service company to apply a markup, I think that a 1,050% markup is unreasonably high. On plus side, the repairman did accept the Angies list discount coupon.

We will be using Pure Air again. They were so nice and also so fast in providing service. An a/c unit had stopped working, and they came over within a half hour of our phone call (they were, by good luck, in the neighborhood when we called). It turned out to be the a/c fuse. They had it fixed in an hour. The gentleman who came out was very polite and meticulous. We wouldn't hesitate to call them again for service. Highly recommend.

I am scheduling the company they recommended for some additional service, but Pure Air has my vote for any heating/AC needs. They are simply the best.

We had been using another company for several years and were not totally pleased with their service. Pure Air found a leak in one of the unit's schrader valve which had been slowly leaking for several years. The other company just kept adding freon and never bothered to find the cause of the leak.

A/C was not working. I called one company that could not come out until late in the afternoon and would charge double for emergency service. I then called Pure Air and they answered the phone(not a recording) and said they would check the schedule ad call me back as soon as they knew when they could come out and that it would be this morning. Rates would be normal rates. I received a call back in an hour and they advised that a tech would be out within an hour. 30 minutes later the tech comes and within 30 minutes the air was back on and working fine. I would not hesitate to recommend Pure Air and use them myself again. Thanks for the great service.

Originally hired Pure Air to service my old furnace. Technician came to the house, replaced a faulty part and tested the unit to see that it worked. The furnace did work then. Much to my surprise when I turned on the furnace the next day it did not work! I called Pure Air and was assured by the owner John that if the part that they installed was defective it would be replaced free of charge under warranty. When the technician arrived at my house, John the owner of Pure Air accompanied him . Turned out that the old furnace had an intermittent problem and needed to be replaced. I obtained 3 quotes from HIGHLY rated Heating and Cooling professionals on Angies List including a quote from Pure Air. Only Pure Air and one other company did the measurements needed to properly size my new furnace to the house. Also, Pure Air took the necessary extra step of making sure my duct system was adequately sized for the furnace and John at Pure Air recommended that the return air duct be resized bigger to insure that the furnace operates as efficiently and reliably as possible. Making the return air duct to the furnace larger involved unhooking and moving my gas water heater. Also, since the high efficiency furnaces need to me vented to the outside, Pure Air was the only company that seemed to care about finding an aesthetically pleasing location for the vents on the outside of the house. The 3 guys that installed the new furnace did an excellent job and were very clean and efficient. I highly recommend Pure Air.

It went fine - no issues, no trying to sell me a bigger/newer A/C.

Peyton from Pure Air came out today and found that another company had not filled the freon completely after moving the A/C in the fall. He filled the freon and cleaned everything. It's working fine now. I appreciated his punctuality, willingness to explain everything to me and overall positive attitude. Plus he didn't push a new A/C as so many repair people do. A very nice experience.

The price for the servicing included two furnaces as well as about a pound and a half of freon. They were very prompt for the appointment, they didn't give you a window they give you an appointment time. The guy was very polite.

I've had recurring problems with A/C drainage, causing damage in my condo. From first phone call, I felt confident about Pure Air's know-how, employees, and approach. Ultimately, they arrived as promised on time, thoroughly assessed the situation, and provided a thoughtful, permanent solution. Used my Angie's List $50 off service coupon! Plan to use Pure Air for my future heating and cooling maintenance.

Worked mainly with Todd, one of their sales and support people. The service was excellent. Both he and the owner came out to my home and did a load calculation separately, to confirm that I needed a 2.5 ton unit (the same one that was replaced). The work was done on time. I am pleased with the results. When I had questions afterward, they have been responsive. It looks like I may need an attic fan as well. I would feel very confortable recommending them to anyone.

They were punctual, professional, efficient and thorough. We will be using them for our future heating and cooling needs.

Everything went well. John did a good job of explaining the tax credit associated with installing the higher efficiency units. The work was done well and on time. Crew cleaned up well. Would definitely use these guys again.

They did an outstanding job! John took the time to go over every available option with me and answered all of my questions in a very professional manner. On the day of the installation they showed up right on time and worked all day until the job was finished. Very impressed by the attention to detail and the care they used in installing the equipment. When the install was complete John went over the new thermostat and equipment and did not leave until I had my questions answered. Highly recommend them.
