They are an excellent team. John was very honest about pricing and nothing was hidden. They came on time and worked without resting. On the next day, John called at 9:00 a.m. and asked me if everything was going well. I was about to call him to ask about a very little leak around the tube of the condensate pump. His brother who installed the unit came right away, he brought a little cramp and it was fixed within a day. I got estimates from 5 companies for the different or same models. I learn a lot by comparing the prices. There was a company with great reputations tried to sell me their overstocks. Some company raised their price for high efficiency units because I would get a tax credit. Pure Air was the only company could explain everything clearly and honestly. Also, I wasn't planning to install an air cleaner because it sat on the floor, but Pure Air knew how to install it 2 feet above the ground. My furnace was elevated 1 foot above the ground and so he kept the base and reused it. The experts said that there was little difference among the models, and so you had to chose the good installer in order to get the best outcomes. The good installation was the one I was looking for, and Pure Air was the one I chose. It had been working great and Pure Air has been coming back for annual check-ups.

John was very prompt and professional. He listened to what I had to say, and worked with me to come up with a good solution. He was flexible on scheduling the work. The crew arrived on time and worked all day, not leaving until all the work was completed around 8 p.m. They spent time with me to make sure I understood all the controls and required maintenance.

Two months ago we moved into a home we purchased from an estate. From our pre-purchase inspections I knew that the furnace and AC units would need to be replaced. One weekend I started to research manufacturers and installers, checking Angie's list for recommendations and selected contractors to call. The following day our furnace blower and motor broke into pieces. I called the three contractors on the top of my list. John Lettner, the owner of Pure-Air, came to prepare an estimate. He analyzed the size of our ductwork and did a heat loss / heat gain calculation for the house following the industry's recommended practices. With this information he was able to properly evaluate our existing equipment and options for repairs or replacement. Our existing furnace, AC compressor and AC coils were incorrectly sized for the house and did not match each other's operating requirements. The old furnace could be repaired but could not provide a level of comfort or efficiency we wanted for the long term. John shifted schedules, returned the next day with a crew of four and installed the new equipment. Each member of the team took the time to clearly answer questions and to explain how the new equipment worked. I was very satisfied.

They did a real good job and I was happy with them. The workers were punctual and professional and were very nice.

John came out for proposal. He was one of 4 companies I talked to. He gave me the best feeling of competence among the bidders. In the end he was not the cheapest, but appeared to be the best. Upon installation (done by his brother), we were equally impressed. They were neat and courteous. The work was completed on time and with no problems. John personally came back and reviewed the job and went through the operation.

Of the four companies that bid on the job, John was the friendliest, but he was also the only one of the four who talked about carbon monoxide poisoning, which felt like a scare tactic, and he also openly disparaged the competing companies in ways I felt were unfair. Also, before submitting his own bid, he seemed to be fishing a bit for info about the other contractor's quotes. I still had a good rapport with him, and felt he'd do a great job if hired, but his bid came back 40% higher than our lowest bid that was the deal breaker. He did follow up well, and asked for a chance to re-submit his bid, but we felt that we would rather go with the company with the best price out of the gate.

He arrived on time and did a good job as far as I can tell. They come when they say they say they are going to and do what they say they are going to. I have used them for two years.

We had an extremely positive experience with Pure Air. Everything was done in a prompt, professional manner. Our home was well cared for and the work was exceptional. All the problems with the past systems were solved and the heat and air conditioning are much more even and balanced between rooms. In fact, we liked this company so much we are going to use them to redo the existing systems in a new home we just purchased.

Service was very satisfactory.

John did a great job recommending the right size unit. I had special request - to not mess with asbestos tile on floor, and to move the new unit about 1 foot back from the original. They followed all instructions but they did remove some of the tiles which I did not want them to touch but they seemed to do it safely.

They came out to fix a problem which was supposed to have been repaired by a previous heating & a/c repair company I went with. They were really nice on the phone and really helpful. They came out the next week after I spoke with them over the phone and fixed the problem with my heater and cleaned it. They did a lot more work than the other heating & a/c company. They were a nice, small company which I prefer to work with. Their home office is actually really, really helpful. Pure Air & Heating are very personable and even remember who I am when I call them. I would use them again if I have any more problems with my heater.

This is a family owned business and they are very diligent and hard working. They were very concerned at how they treat their customers. They are just the nicest people ever and they do great work.

Overcame difficulties in pulling return line through the foundation due to previous contractor's errors in estimating depth of duct chase. This required drilling out a section of the slab. Nevertheless, all work was started and completed on time and within estimated cost. The new installations were elegantly designed and the job site was left clean. John was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining what needed to be done. His brother, Pete, and his assistant, Max, who did the installation are masters of their art. All in all, a very professional and personable group. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. As John himself points out, they aren't the cheapest company to do the work, nor are they the most expensive, but I feel we got good value for the investment.

Pure Air put in a new furnace and air conditioner in our old home. When we moved, we used them on our new house. They gave us an honest opinion about the system in our new house, and have been doing the maintenance ever since. They do great work, and the maintenance contract is a great deal!

They are very responsive. They're willing to come out for emergencies. They do good work, and we're happy with our experience.

I MET THE OWNER WHEN HE WORKED FOR ANOTHER COMPANY AND I REALLY LIKED THE WAY HE ORGANIZED THE STAFF AT THAT TIME. HE BOUGHT PURE AIR AND TURNED IT INTO THE GREAT COMPANY THAT IT IS TODAY. THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE TO CUSTOMER NEEDS AND TRULY HONOR THEIR MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS. VERY HONEST AND DEPENDABLE, AND THEY DO EXCELLENT CLEANUP.

THEY COME EXACTLY WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO. WE ALSO HAVE A CONTRACT WITH THEM, SO THAT WHEN WE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ANYTHING WE CAN CALL THEM AND THEY COME RIGHT OVER.
