Great - as usual! Evan helped us select the fabric, did the work in a timely and professional manner and delivered the end results on time.

Evan laid out the fabric to match all around the chairs - backs, seats, sides and large skirts. He took great care and pride in the way the job was being done. Our clients were extremely happy with the results. Evan had given us a price up front and I am sure the job entailed more time than he originally anticipated, but he never once mentioned charging us any more than his original quote. This job is typical of the work we have received from Evan and his crew over the years we have used them.

This was an expensive undertaking I had been waiting a long time to do; I sent in pictures of my furniture, and got estimates the next day. The cost of one chair was enough that I didn't think it was worth it (the chair is an old thrift store find) but when I said that I would skip it, Evan persuaded me of the value of what I had. (It's now my favorite of all the pieces done.) I got great advice about where to go for fabrics, what kinds I wanted to be looking for. And the work is just fabulous--not only that it looks good but no more saggy cushions and squeaky chair legs. Estimates were right on target, the work was done more quickly than I'd been lead to expect, and they don't take on work that lies outside their expertise (wouldn't take a non-upholstered chair that needs more substantial repair). I think I got terrific value, and wouldn't consider using another upholsterer. My view of furniture is completely transformed.

Another shop had refinished the wood portion of an antique rocking chair and delivered the chair to their office. They were able to hold the chair until I could get there and choose a fabric. I showed up one day as they were finishing lunch and the staff, including Evan, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They patiently went through fabrics with me, offering their opinions but listening very closely to mine. Since I was several months pregnant, I was being very picky. Once the fabric was chosen, they quoted me the price for both the back and the seat and said they could finish it in a month's time, given that the holidays were very busy for them. I asked if they would deliver it to the city and was told there would be a fee of $50 since they normally do not deliver that far out. In just under a month's time, I got a call from Evan to arrange delivery and he carried it into my home a couple of days later. I absolutely LOVE the chair! The fabric looks beautiful and the piping detail they added looks very high end. And, it is so comfortable. I look forward to many nights rocking my child to sleep in the chair. Evan and his team were wonderful to work with and I'm very happy. I would definitely work with them again. Just a general piece of advice - I would advise is to not try to redo furniture around the holidays.

I chose them because a different company that I had first looked up stated he didn't do this kind of work to call Prairie Interiors. They are professional and know what they are doing as far as I can tell. They let me take books of fabric home to look at them to find what I wanted.

It was easy to work with Prairie Interiors. They were very positive, upbeat, and tried their best to meet my time request. I was very pleased with the outcome. I would highly recommend them for reupholstery work.

When I called Evan's sister she said that the chairs would cost $45 each if I would supply the material. She figured six yards would be necessary. I stopped in with a chair to confirm the price and look at the materials she had there. She didn't waste time to tell me that it would take a few weeks to order the material and the material I liked was very expensive, more than what I really wanted to spend. I bought the material that was perfect at a very good price from a material store, brought in the four seats (only two of the chairs) and Evan did the rest. He did a beautiful job re-upholstering the seats and offered to affix the last two seats to the chairs if I had a difficult time screwing them in. Needless to say, Evan and his sister went overboard to satisfy this customer. They had a ton of work to do there, mine was small potatoes for them.

I CAN''T COMPARE PRAIRIE''S PRICES WITH OTHERS, BUT THE WORKMANSHIP WAS EXCELLENT, THE DELIVERY TIME QUICK AND EVERYONE WAS EXTREMELY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL, SO I THOUGHT IT WAS EXCELLENT VALUE.
