The project took 3 months longer than it was supposed to. There were unnecessary inconveniences and damage to the home (glue and stain on carpets which Ron blames on the dog, drywall damage where plastic sheets was duct-taped to walls). Blaming glue and stain damage on a dog is absurd and idiotic. Ron is trying to blame anyone else but his own workers for damages to the home. After several follow ups by phone, Ron refuses to refund the money. He has ignored multiple attempts by the Better Business Bureau to come to an agreement, of which he now has an unsatisfactory record. Clearly Ron is not willing to accept responsibility for the poor quality his company produces and lies to get out of agreements he has made. It's clear that his company is not concerned with the overall craftsmanship of the job and respect to the owner or the owner's home. Ron obviously feels it is perfectly fine to leave a job unfinished and with damage caused by his workers. Ron perpetuates contractor distrust.
Description of Work: In Dec. 2005, we contracted KBR Designs to complete a railing with spindles to replace a half wall. A railing was installed in December '05/January '06 which was of such poor quality and workmanship that it had to be replaced. By late Jan '06/Feb '06 the 1st railing was torn down. The 2nd contractor quit. In the meantime, we had no railing and risk if anybody fell. We had to board our dog for an additional 6 weeks because the contractors were consistently making excuses. By mid-late March '06, a 2nd railing was installed. We had to have yet a 4th contractor come out to touch up the 2nd railing due to stain, wood filler, and pencil/glue marks left over. After installation, due to inconveniences and damage to the home, Ron agreed to a $500 refund which he is now unwilling to pay.
