Description of Work: Installed 2 outdoor outlet boxes - they did a very sloppy job - crooked, with caulk all over the place.

Description of Work: Alan from Alste came over to my house to install a new external 20 Amp outlet. He had to run approximately 15 feet of conduit and drill through a very thick concrete wall to the reach the outside. Alan was very nice and completed the work within the 2 hour coupon limit. I was satisfied with the work.

Description of Work: I bought the coupon deal a while back and didn't use it right away. I realized that i was at the end of the deal time and reached out to them to see if they would extend the deal to the end of the Month (7/12) it expired in so I could purchase the fans I wanted them to install. I ordered the fans from a company and it was clear I would not receive them until August. I called an left a message to see if they would accomodate me and never heard back. Based on some of the recent reviews I decided that it is probably best not to try have them do the work. 100 bucks down the drain.

Description of Work: The electricion arrived on time, listened to what I wanted and went to work. He wired an exhaust fan on the roof, replaced a light fixture on the wall by my deck--then had more time, so he waited while I zipped over to Home Depot and bought a light fixture for my post lamp, which he then replaced. Later, in the next day or so, I noticed that the light fixture needed to be refastened, which was easy for me to do myself. All in all a good experience, especially as it was an Angie's Deal--$99.00 for an hour of work.

Description of Work: After living in my condo for three years and having some water damage from the unit above me, I decided to re-do my kitchen.After doing some prep work I found a few problems that needed to be corrected. I did contact Alste first to find out if they did working Schaumburg and they indicated yes, then Angie's list provided a coupon which I brought. Jerry did come out on time on friday, however the questions he was asking had no bearing the job. I wanted under cabinet lights installed, a ceiling fan (that I hated removed and replaced) and the larger part of the job some telephone wires that had to be moved. As part of the job I had a open soffit made and wanted to find what would would be the best way to re-route the telephone wires, when I mentioned this he first indicated that the wiring may have to be replace due to possible corrosion. All in all it did not seen that he wanted to take the time to do the job I also felt he was most unprofessional was telling me stories about service call about some one who just brought a home and wanted too many ceiling lights installed, after showing him the light fixture wanted he went into discussion about about discussing the lighting fixture with my better half,. I am not married. If I make a mistake about a $50,00 ceiling light and change my mind later it is not a big deal. However I felt his line of questioning was out of line. However my feeling are the (Alste) y where surprised about the amount coupons sold and could not handled all the jobs in a timely fashion.So it is easier to get rid of jobs that would take longer to complete.
