Had a great experience with Royal Construction. We needed tuck point services on a few areas of our house. We scheduled the repair and the crew arrived on time and ready to work. Stan was great to work with -- very experienced, direct and straightforward. The job I had was small and he didn't try to expand the scope beyond the repairs that I needed. The crew did a good job matching the 1960's brick and blending in the repair as well as possible with the rest of my house. We had a couple of wrinkles during the job, but the crew made it right and Stan followed up with me afterwards to make sure I was satisfied with the work - with that kind of integrity, I would definitely recommend him!

Could not have predicted monsoon rains followed by July heat in May. Stan's team came out in some rough circumstances and provided a great final product to replace some old siding and fascia and add a gutter to the garage. It looks amazing and we couldn't be happier.

What an Experience. Bad Covid year and shortage of supplies for all projects has hampered our building rehab. However, Royal Construction came through for us. Stan is a great businessman that takes work very seriously and with great pride. We had a complete siding install with new gutters and downs spouts on an old frame building with very unique architectural angles. George was the onsite foreman bringing many years of experience, attention to detail, and quality of work. His crew is methodical and knew what to do. From the garage to the building, to cleanups and keeping us updated on the progress we knew we were in good hands. The finished job is not only the prize of our neighborhood but the envy as well. We have had many neighbors ask for the contractor's info and complement the work. Thank You, Stan, George, John, and the rest of the crew for the great job and beautiful building we own.

Due to the timing of the project and Covid 19 limitations, which pushed it back from last year on October 8th, to now April 12th we couldn’t be happier than we are now! Our front entrance looks amazing and beautiful! Stanford and his team really pulled out all the stops to get the job done!

Great crew worked quickly and took pictures of my chimney for me so I could see before and after. Cleaned my driveway very well. Fixed a corner of my building with a great repair that I could not get a company to do last summer after having 4 come look at it. Was told too small a job, or way overpriced or exagerated claims of a fix with a really low price, very scetchy. I would recommend this company and rehire for any project in the future.

Iâ  ve dealt with Royal construction to re side my garage and they did an excellent job. Theyâ  ve done an excellent job on everything theyâ  ve done for me. They just installed a side door on my garage. I had 4 estimates and they were the cheapest and they came out the quickest for a quote and an install. Anything Iâ  m looking for around the house for repair or replacement I will use them. Theyâ  re a great company, Great price, great quality and great workmanship. God Bless them.

Great experience from beginning to end. Stan was upfront about what work was necessary and didn't try to upsell me. Natalia and the crew who did the work were great - they had me inspect it while they were on site to make sure I was satisfied, cleaned up thoroughly when they were done, and Stan followed up with a phone call to make sure I was happy. I highly recommend them!

Do not hire these guys. Stan took our money (our $1,500 deposit) and ran. We signed a contract in late September for tuckpointing and other masonry repair work. The contract said they would start work in 3 weeks, but they never did. They did not even have a license to do the work, which we found out when we tried to get their contractor license number for the permit as required by the City of Chicago. When we called to get our deposit back (it had been 1 1/2 months, and it was now under 40 degrees outside, raining and snowing), Stan told us he had just sent a subcontractor out to do the work that day. He did so without our permission, and without any permit given that he would not give us a license number to get a permit. By this time it was too late in the year to do this work because it was too cold and wet. Despite promising to give our deposit back, he has failed to do so. The last time we called, he claimed to be sick, yelled at us, and hung up the phone. He does not pick up the phone and still has not returned the money. UPDATE: I read Stan s response and I just have to comment. You can see he does not dispute (1) he had no license to do the work that he was contracted to do; (2) he never could give us a contractor license number to get permits for the work; (3) he did not start the work on time as per the contract (he had 3 weeks to start, and he did nothing for 1 1/2 months); (4) it was only on the day that we asked for our money back that he told us he sent a sub-contractor to the property (without a permit) to do masonry work in the rain and snow at near freezing temperatures (the mortar will not fully cure when done in rain or cold temperatures); and (5) he has not given any of our money back. Instead, he calls me a *scam artist.* But think about it. How can I be a *scam artist* when HE took MY money? I gave him my money, expecting him to do work, and he is the one that has kept my money without providing any service whatsoever. And, contrary to what he says, we did not stop anyone *in the middle of the job* we had to drive to the property to tell the masonry sub-contractor to take his material off the building because he did not have a permit for the work and he was not permitted to do any work on the masonry when it was near freezing and raining. No work was ever done. Stan says he offered to return $900. That is not 100% true. On two occasions he told us he was going to send our deposit back in the weeks before Christmas, and only on one of those occasions did he say he was going to send less than the full deposit (it was actually $1,000 he said he would send). But we still have not received any check. He hung up the phone when we followed up with him. He does not need my permission to send me my money back. Stan can not back up his claim that I am a *scam artist,* but I can back up my claim. He keeps saying *look at my 400 wonderful reviews,* but if you look around you will see there are many people, especially recent reviewers, who have had the same complaints and describe the same pattern. They say Stan takes your money, but does not do the work, or he does poor work and he will not fix it. The company has an *F* rating with the Better Business Bureau, with 7 unresolved complaints in 3 years. Look at them. They are generally the same complaints we have, with four of them within a year: 12/4/2021 (it says the contract was entered into around the same time mine was and that Stan took this guys money); 8/19/21; 8/16/21 and 7/16/21. On another review site, similar complaints were made: Jean B 1/3/22; Sandy S 7/3/19; CP R 6/10/20; Walter G 10/9/18 and Consumer X 2/17/19. I would bet there are many more people scammed by this company who do not take the time to write a review. Stan and Royal Construction are not trustworthy. I would give them zero stars if I could.

With winter approaching, did a very good and timely job with reasonable pricing. Would hire again and also recommend.
