Description of Work: Installed (4) exhaust vents for bathroom fans and dryer vent. Cory was very knowledgeable and offered tips for saving energy costs. He did not over sell or try to upsell products. Cory also referred us to a company that checks on mold. We will use Superior again when adding insulation.

Description of Work: Had 5 companies provide estimates to increase my attic insulation from R19 to R49. Approx. 1700 sq. ft. Also needed to have openings cut in my eaves to provide additional ventilation in the attic. Superior Insulation was the only company that was able to provide this service. In addition, Superior Insulation also noted that all of my bathroom exhaust fans should be vented directly thru the roof and not just close to one of the roof vents. They were also able to hook all of my fans directly to individual roof vents. On the day of the appointment Cory and his crew of 3 arrived on time and completed the entire project in 3 1/2 hours. Everyone was very professional, worked very efficiently and cleaned up after the job was completed. After they had left, we discovered that one of the bath fans was very noisy. After calling Cory, his crew came back a few days later and corrected the noise issue. We are very satisfied and pleased with the job that they performed. We are looking forward to having our house stay warmer during the coming winter. Would definitely hire them again.

+ 0 moreOriginally quote was to replace bathroom exhaust fans (with lights). They found that the original bathroom fans upstairs were vented through the eaves - which could cause moisture problems. So, they provided a quote to properly vent them though a dampered vent in the roof. They also found that the attic fan was not working and provided a quote for that as well. Overall, I was pleased with their work. They did the work efficiently and cleaned up after they were done. They also showed me all the items that were extra (properly venting the exhaust fans and also the bad attic fan). The only thing I wished I would have asked about was whether there were quieter fans (these are 2.5 Sone, 110 CFM fans) - but they vent the bathroom well.

+ 1 moreWhen giving the estimate, he explained how to size the fan for my attic. He also gave me some advice about my insulation. He didn't try to up sell me on the insulation, since he was there specifically to give me an estimate on the attic fan. Very professional. When the work was done, I was amazed how fast and efficient they were. They were in and out of my place in about 20 minutes at most. I'll gladly pay for such service that will keep my off my roof and from playing with the electrical system. All around good experience.

+ -1 moreCory (the owner) was on time for our scheduled estimate. He answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns to my satisfaction. He gave me a signed written estimate along with a brochure for the insulation he was going to use. Cory and his crew arrived on time the day of the job. I have a flat roof so that my "attic" is essentially a very limited crawl space: the installer must crawl on his stomach across all the ceiling joists being careful not to fall though the ceiling - not an easy task. Access was through a closet ceiling. The closet was emptied prior to their arrival however they did cover the floors and surrounding furniture outside the closet with tarps. Installation went well, without incident. Upon completion I was invited to stick my head up in the crawl space to check their work. It looked great. The crew then swept and vacuumed all work areas.

They came on the appointed day, installed the items, were relatively neat and clean ( some attic insulation fell on the floor, but it was minimal). The attic fans immediately made a difference in the house temperature! I am happy with the work and would call them again.

+ -1 moreCory came to give us an estimate to fix or replace our attic fan and assess our attic problems - an existing fan that wasn't working and moisture build up with changes in temperature. He was courteous and professional and gave us several options to fix the situation after thoroughly explaining what he determined the problems to be. We also needed an upstairs bathroom fan replaced and vented through the roof. We set up an appointment to have the work done about a week later. I was very grateful the workers showed up on time (actually a little early because they wanted to complete the work before the rain started). I was also impressed with how they showed me exactly what they were doing each step of the way. The job was done neatly with tarps being put down and any mess completely cleaned up. Every crew member was polite and courteous. It was also comforting that Cory (the owner) was there to oversee the whole project. I would have no problem calling them back should I have any other attic/ventilation issues.
Description of Work: Installed new attic fan with thermostat and humidistat controller. Installed six roof vents. Installed a bath fan and vented it through the roof. Added insulation to the attic door.

+ -1 moreI had a raccoon in my attic, and was referred to Superior by a animal removal company. Apparently in the case of raccoons, all insulation must be removed, and the entire area disinfected, before replacing the insulation. Cory returned my phone call within hours, and came out the next day to give me an estimate. He also suggested I contact my insurance company, as did the animal removal company, since varmint infestations are usually covered by your homeowners insurance. After meeting with the insurance adjuster, I called Cory back and was able to schedule the work for a few days later. The crew was very neat, considering how messy the job was. They removed all old insulation and junk that was in the attic, and hauled it away. Then they sucked out "100 years of dirt", cleaned the entire area with micro-ban, and blew in new insulation. Then they cleaned up afterward. The job took about 4 hours - pretty quick considering all that needed to be done.
Description of Work: Remove attic insulation and disinfect attic area. Blow in new insulation.

+ -1 moreArrived a little early. As we said, explained that the extra insulation is much better when temperatures drop much lower, the added insulation makes a big difference. So very professional and clean install by his workers as others here have reported. Looking forward to seeing the drop in heating bills this winter.
Description of Work: Got a quote to increase blown-in insulation from R-19 to R-38 as recommended by house inspector when we bought the house. Cory gave quote by phone, then setup time, when he arrived asked if I'd be in the house for more than 3 years, if so would I be interested in R-49 (provided explanation what difference it makes) for an extra $150. So that's what we did.

They put tarps on the floors leading to the bedroom and also in the bedroom.The job took 3 hrs including the clean-up. I was very satisfied with them.

Cory was very responsive and came out and did the job professionally and efficiently within one week. We had called another company and we had to wait for over a month in order to get an estimate and probably another month or two for the job to be done. We are very pleased with Cory, his crew and the work performed.

WHEN I CALLED BACK AT THE TIME IN WHICH THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE THEY SAID THEY ARRIVED AT 10 AM (WE HAD A SCHEDULED TIME OF NOON-1 PM) AND THEY SAID THEY STOPPED BY AND NO ONE ANSWERED. THEY CLAIMED THEY TRIED KNOCKING ON THE DOOR (IMPOSSIBLE SINCE THE GATE IS LOCKED AND INACCESSIBLE WITHOUT A KEY) AND NO ONE ANSWERED THE DOOR. THIS IS ALSO SURPRISING SINCE I WAS HERE ALL DAY WITH MY 2 DOGS WHO BARK WHEN THE BELL IS RUNG. THEN CORY TOLD ME MY HOUSE WAS TOO SMALL TO MAKE IT WORTH THE $1000 TRUCK CHARGE. WHAT AN EXTRAORDINARY WASTE OF MY TIME.
