Spandikow & co. did a great job on my roof. They did the work on schedule and in 1 day as promised. Price was a bit more than I expected, but they told me up front what it would be and stuck to it. Overall good experience, I would hire them again.

I knew our roof was ready for replacement and sought estimates in the spring/summer. I thought I had more time, but in late October/Early November I discovered some deterioration that needed quick attention before winter. I call Spandikow on Monday to ask them to move forward on my project with hopes it could be complete before winter They were certain they could if the weather held. We lucked out with one of the mildest winters in memory. On Mark Spandikow's suggestion, I visitied a supplier of theirs to look at shingles / color and made that decision. I then sent a deposit (via CC) of about 50% to Spandikow & Sons. The weather held and the crew started installation the week after Thanksgiving. It took about 2.5 days to do all of the work. The team replaced quite a bit of bad decking. Though it was added expense, I was happy to have it done. The day they finsihed was quite beautiful. I ran up on the roof to inspect their work and thought they did a marvelous workman like job. The roof looks great from up close and from a distance. They managed to put a bit of slope on a flat valley section of the roof. It was a problem area and their work takes it off my worry list. The Saturday after they finished we had a good overnight rainstorm. We woke to discover leaking from a skylight (onto a tile floor). We called to report the issue. Their crew was out that week and fixed the problem. It's airtight now. I highly recommend Spandikow and Son. They are not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. They do quality work and are a great value.

Spandikow responded quickly to make an appointment, came promptly when the winter weather cleared enough, and completed the work. professionally. Will call again.

They really did a great job. I have used them twice once to replace our roof about 7 years ago and this last summer to replace the gutters. I would certainly use them again and recommend them to all my friends.

We used them to put flashing on the roof. They also had to replace the gutters and downspouts. All in all, it was a good experience. They did good work. The rain that was previously coming in between the ease and the gutters is no longer. They cleaned after themselves.

I had 2 water leaks. I think they were from the roof, but could be from the siding. I know there is roof plywood damage in 2 areas caused by rain that was caused by poor gutter work. I don't know the age of this roof. I am considering adding another downspout and another power attic vent. I considered a metal roof. I had a bunch of questions. Mark was quick to respond to me. He answered some of my questions. He sent me a professional quote.I wanted to be here when he came out for the estimate so that I could ask questions and make sure he knew exactly what I wanted. I decided to have someone else do the work because Mark came here without my knowledge and he did not answer all of my quesitons.

Arrived unexpectedly after contract agreed upon, however, that was not a problem for me. After the work was completed, I had some questions. The owner came out and went through everything with me. They were not the cheapest quote, but they seemed to do good work, I will use them again.

We found that we had a leak by our fireplace chimney. Spandikow came out and found that the roofer we used in 2003 had put the shingles on incorrectly in the area of the leak. They rebuilt the saddle behind the chimney, repaired the flashing, installed an ice shield and replaced the shingles. They did this without commenting on the other roofers poor work and did the repair in a timely manner. We were VERY pleased and will only use Spandikow in the future.

They came on time and did a good job. Their price seemed to be fair enough. It was a positive experience. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

Very well! The weather was really against us. Impossible rain or horrible heat. The first good day the roofing team came out and completely finished the job! The roof looks great. The city came yesterday and it passed the final inspection. All and all a very positive experience.

They were top notch all across the board. They delivered on time. They were here and cleaned up after themselves. It was a very positive experience.

They promptly replied with a day to look at the roof and do the estimate. I believe he even came out to look on Easter Sunday. Sent the estimate promptly.

I had to call them a couple of times. I haven’t had any leaks after they did the job. I would use their services again in the future.

I would absolutely use them again. Their service is just superb. They are responsive, great and we like them a lot. We don't even go to bid on that kind of work anymore. We've been using them for so long and we really like them. I think they really do excellent. When they put the sky roofs in, it was very well done, it was a clean work and the roof which they replaced was very good. They did work repairing the roof first and then a number of year's later rip sliced the roof. The first time I used them was probably in 1988 or 1990.

Stand-up honest guys...grat work from beginning to end

Price was reasonable and work was done on time and well. Dealing with Mr. Spandikow was fine, no fancy showroom but that was fine by us. They came when they said they would. The work was done exceptionally quick once they got started - I think it was about 3 days for the house and garage. Because they worked so quickly they did not have to park a dumpster in our yard, which was a nice bonus; they just came with a dump truck for the old shingles each day. They had to replace some sheathing which they did using boards per my request (old house with lapped board sheathing rather than plywood; wanted new material to match the old). They also remounted the TV antenna. They did a pretty nice job of protecting the shrubbery and cleaning up after themselves. Found a few nails in the yard afterward but I suspect that's inevitable. A couple things I would do differently and one minor complaint. A lot of debris ended up in the attic, which I did not realize would happen - dirt, grit, splinters, little bits of old shingle and tarpaper. If I had known that would happen I would have put some tarps over the things I have stored up there. The roofer might have warned me about that. The other thing is we got metal flashing in the valleys - I think I wouldn't if I had it to do over. The flashing does not match the shingles at all (flashing is light silver metal) and I don't like the way it looks - I will have to paint it or something to look less obtrusive. No complaint to the roofer there, it's what we asked for, I just didn't realize it would look like that.

1 of 2 contractors considered. Other was about $500 higher and had performed work before (as lead man for another roofer) but Spandicow provided local references that convinced me that they could do job. Followed up with call one week after job finished to ask about "quality of job and was I happy?". Yes to both.

It took him only 10 minutes to replace the shingle! He did a good job on a rather simple project. I may consider him for additional roof work.

It turned out fine. They came and did it. They charge what they said they would charge and were efficient. These small jobs are hard to get anyone else to do but they came out and did it.

It was ok but the sheets have started to buckle a little bit in two years. I'll need a new roof and this will be prt of the total. I didn't pay much and I got a couple of years out of it.

The weather in Illinois makes scheduling difficult for roofers. It took a while to get the project scheduled and started but once the Spandikow team springs into action, they're a machine. It's worth it to take a day or two off work to stay home and watch them...very skilled, focused and fast workers. They don't seem to mind cold, rain, wind or a even a little ice. They did a fantastic job and our roof is absolutely beautiful.

Left message with my information. Mark came out to measure my roof and sent an Email with PDF of estimate. Their price was in the middle of three estimates but all were close. I called to confirm we wanted to go ahead and sent back a copy of the signed estimate. They called a week later to give me a start date and that day it rained, but they came the next day and finished in a day and a half. Very nice crew I must say.

Went with another contractor that can do both roofing and siding at the same time instead of just the roof.
