Overall, it was terrific. Being out of work and having these huge quotes for necessary work made me a bit unhinged. Mr. Spandikow was calm and helpful. We corresponded by email. He answered all questions I had quickly and concisely. The house had an old huge barn vent on top that none of us could figure out to what it was connected. We decided to leave it alone, and after the roof was completed, Mr. Spandikow had that old vent repainted to match the roof color. He also painted the strips of metal that lined the valleys so that they too matched the roof. Overall a terrific job. No wasted time. Done quickly and well. No nails left on site. I would (and have) recommend (ed) this company to anyone who asks. They were great! The roof is beautiful and a year later still no leaks. My neighbor had one of the other contractors I interviewed and when his roof leaked they came out once, didn't fix the job and refused to come out again. My questions for Mr. Spandikow did not end with the roofing. He always answered and I am sure if there was a problem he would have come out to fix it.

Spandikow has done work for me twice before, including a complete new roof. I trust them and find them to be honest, fairly priced and they stand behind their work

I knew I was going to hire these guys before they even gave me the quote. They were responsive when I called and flexible for scheduling an initial inspection for the estimate. The guy even hopped up on the roof to get a better feel for what he was estimating (the other two companies I called didn't do that). He seemed very confident in what needed to be done and his bill matched the estimate exactly. He also looked at some other issues the insurance company said we could fix, but he recommended against them as the repairs were unnecessary. I hit the leaky area with a hose several times and have now waited 2+ months to make sure the leak has stopped completely, and it has. I highly recommend this company for high-quality, honest roof repairs.

Spandikow's price was lower by far than any other estimate. His team did great work. I was especially pleased to see how they cleaned up after the tear-off. It was a windy day and some debris went into my neighbor's backyard. They went back there and picked everything up. My only minor complaint is they did not return phone calls quickly, but they always returned them and I could not nail them down on how long it would take, but once they started they continued until they were done. It ended up taking about three days. I would recommend them highly to anyone interested in getting a new roof.

Started the process of requesting estimates for a complete roof replacement. Spandikow Roofing was recommended to me by neighbor/friend who was happy with work. Appointment time was set up with no problems. No delay. Received detailed estimate within a few days as promised.

Couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. We needed to have the entire roof replaced due to storm damage. From the orginal visit, communication and work quality couldn't have been better. The crew arrived on time, were obviously experienced and did a thoroughly professional job. I have used Spandikow in the past, and wouldn't hesitate recommending them.

The workers were on time and professional. They cleaned up everyday and left the house neat and tidy.

We were very pleased with the quality of the work performed. They arrived in the morning on the agreed upon date and performed all the work as outlined in the estimate. They even replaced parts of the roof with new sheets of plywood without any additional cost to us. The crew were quick and thorough, and the cleanup was complete.

Easy to reach on the internet or by phone. Came and did the work. I wasn't there but didn't plan on going up on any roofs.

I had to ask them to amend the quote as they left it open-ended stating add't repairs would be billed at $100/hr. I had to ask them to estimate the number of add't hours, which they did. The repairs overall went well and they completed the work in 1/2 day. They also found some issue w/a valley on the roof, which they repaired before calling me. Although they were being pro-active, I would have preferred a call before beginning that work so I could understand the issue. This added $100 to my original estimate, but they only charged me for the labor and not materials.

Had used them previously in 1990's on old house, so called to discuss leak. They came out next day, called me with solutions and quoted a price. I accepted over phone, wrote check and taped to garage door as I would not be home when they came next day (Saturday - no extra charge). Got a call on Monday asking if work was OK - .I said yes and had sprayed roof to check - no leaks. Told me it took about an hour longer than they thought but all was OK with them.

Mark and Steve Spandikow answered all my questions, calling back and responding to E-mail, even though I bothered them almost every day. The work seemed very thorough, professional. And they cleaned up every day. Everything they did was fast. They provided an estimate within a couple of days, they started work within a few days of my signing the contract and finished in about 3 days. Work was performed at my Glen Ellyn address. I cannot comment on the price because I did not get any other estimates, and it had been a few decades since I last replaced a roof.

Promptly inspected roof and submitted very competitive proposal. Crew arrived early afternoon, confirmed areas to be repaired, did thorough inspection of roof and found a few additional minor problems. Project completed in workmanlike manner, jobsite left in clean condition, all removed materials taken away. Workers were friendly and diligent. We have used this company for similar projects in the past and have always been satisfied with their professionalism.

Steve came out and was really nice, and most importantly, straightforward and honest about work that needed/didn't need to be done.

Went according to plan! Everything worked out just fine.

For the roof, the crew removed all the shingles, put down the water/ice barrier and began shingling the first day and completed the work the second day. The only item that was added to the estimate was replacing the flashing around the chimney. They described it as in bad shape and needing repair. The proof was that they tossed down a chunk of cement that was removed as part of the process. I think it was a needed extra. The cleanup was good, no nails left in the driveway. I met Mark Spandikow the first day when they were starting work and the crew members both days were very polite. My house is very old and a few bits of interior plaster popped off on the inside where the roof is near the ceiling. Since this happened the last time we repaired the roof I was not too concerned, and they were able to recommend someone who will be able to do the repair. It wasn't their fault, it's the old house effect, and I was happy for the recommendation. The roof cost just over $8000. The garage re-siding cost just under $4000. The work was done promptly and the needed repairs were done well. The garage had eroded around the ground level so it needed plywood around much of the base before siding could be put on. There was a lot of stuff leaning against the walls of the garage both inside and out and though I meant to move it, but I didn't get to it. They didn't say a word, just shifted my junk out of the way and did their work. Again the cleanup was good and the work was done very promptly. All the siding was replaced and the window and door frames were covered. I used all white, no contrasting trim. I would definitely use them again. I needed the work done within a month of agreeing to the estimate and not only did they promise to get it done, they did, with no prompting or extra phone calls. That was very valuable to me.
