Handyman Connection of Wheaton

We had a very positive experience with Handyman Connection in Glen Ellyn, a local business managed by Shad Martin. Shad acts as a contractor who, with folks in his office, arranges and schedules craftspeople to do the work. Work on our house and garage required a painter, carpenter, roofer, and power washer. The work was completed on schedule over the summer and was of very high quality. Communication was very good and the workmen were professional. In the current era of labor shortages, I don’t think we could have found such high quality and dependable workmen on our own. One does pay for these contractor services, of course—but the overall cost was reasonable and presented up front in the contract we signed—there were no surprises when the work was finished. We provided some of the paint and Shad and his team received a large discount (~30%) on materials that they had to purchase, so the cost of supplies was also reasonable. Handyman Connection guarantees the work for one year. We had altogether a positive experience at a reasonable price and we are very pleased with the result. You can’t go wrong with Handyman Connection of Glen Ellyn.

This was the first time I used Handyman Connection and I was impressed with the quality of service and attention to getting the job done right. Not only was the time-frame very good for scheduling my job but the follow-through was very good as well. I want to give my special thanks to the terrific tech, Nate, who is truly an old-world and ethical person who really knows what he's doing. I will not hesitate to call upon them again.

Kevin showed up on time and inspected the framework around the kitchen sliding door to the stairs leading down to our patio. After the inspection he explained a couple of ways that it could be repaired. We decided to have the sliding door replaced and the framework inside the wall inspected, and as it turned out, repaired. The work took two days and was completed to our satisfaction. He cleaned up and contracted to have all the debris hauled away, waiting on the disposal service to make sure it got done. I would no reservations on using his services again and probably will in the near future.

Excellently. Irvin showed up early and completed the job in two hours. Everything looks great. I'm very happy with the work and would request Irvin again.

There was little plumbing involved and leaking afterwards, stopper was not installed(sink) I had to bring in a professional plumber afterwards for an additional$425.00 to get leaks to stop and repair piping .

Overall, Irvin did a great job. He was prompt, listened to what we needed, provided his opinion when we needed it, and worked hard to complete all three services. We were very pleased with his services and end results.

Dismal. How can you possibly think a handyman is worth TWICE per hour what a nurse or fireman makes for endangering their lives daily. That is OBSCENE. You will be begging for work in 2 months.

Low quality of work. It took a lot of time and money. we have to sand and paint by ourselves.

Did not use them. Way over-priced for the scope of work!

When Bruce Benson (#1) arrived, he showed me the wrong part. When I told him I wouldn’t pay for time to get the part, he left in a huff. Subsequently, I spoke with Casey and learned that my electrical outlet was obsolete. We agreed to lay this work aside (so I could hire an electrician to upgrade outlets), and get on with the rest of the work. BOTTOM LINE: I don’t want to see this employee again; company is willing to make things right.

We did a pretty extensive remodel of our kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. We are obsessed with the final outcome. they helped us from the beginning plan designs right down to the finishing touches. We are so happy with the service Handyman Connection provided we are booking them for our bathroom remodel next year!!

Came out on short notice after a wind storm to patch up a fence panel that had blown completely over. Great work.

Had to defer staining of back entrance door, due to inclement weather conditions (this condition occurred when original work date was postponed). Toe kick repair needed to be redone a second time, due to unacceptable effort on the first attempt. Second effort was quite pleasant and exemplary as well as satisfactory. The service door to garage was done very well; it looks great, and opens and closes smoothly and seals tightly; only small problem with the latch-door needs to be closed with effort for latch to engage.

It went very well. Job came in under quote. Work was done as scheduled. There was some confusion over the deposit amount, but it was easily resolved. The handyman was very professional. The job looks great. After the repair you cannot tell there was ever any damage. The restaining job came out looking very well.

I was very happy with Handyman Connection. Mike showed up on time, which already impressed me. I needed caulking done in my shower and kitchen. Straightest lines I’ve ever seen! He also painted my salon location and did a great job and completed it all in one day.

The project took one day and drywall and painting went well. They kept me updated when the handyman was delayed due to the recent snow.

After a little confusing, they did a great job. I think the best barometer of a good company is how they handle problems. Handyman connections was fantastic.

Always on time, work fast with first class workmanship

Ovid picked up my order at Home Depot and got right to work. He was professional and conscientous and got everything done. He was great.

It went very well. Bruce was very efficient and a hard worker. the work was done as expected The only suggestion for improvement to management would be to reduce the lead time for work orders. We had to wait about 2 weeks from my initial call before the work could start due to other scheduling commitments. That's why responsiveness was rated a "B". In fairness, I was given the lead time before I to committed to the service so I did have a choice

He showed up when he was supposed to get here and worked through a thunderstorm. He also offered his services if I needed him in the future.
