Elite Bath Solutions Inc

Greg Shannon of Elite Bath Solutions started out very well, but as the job progressed became very unprofessional in both his communications with us and the job he performed. We ultimately fired him from the job even though it was not complete because of his continued disrespectful attitude and demeanor. He dragged the job out way longer than necessary and whenever we questioned him about the progress he was dismissive and disrespectful. After firing Greg we discovered a problem with the tiles he installed in the bath surround. The tiles he had installed several days earlier were still moving and had not dried. As we were cleaning up, we found five individual buckets of mastic in the trash. Since the tiles had still not dried and since the labels on the buckets said mastic (not thinset), I decided to do some checking. I found out that this mastic was absolutely the WRONG PRODUCT TO USE FOR A SHOWER OR TUB SURROUND. I can't insert a web link here but if you Google search the following (with quotes) "Thinset Comparison & How To Information" you will get a pdf of the product description where the following is clearly stated - "Can only be used on vertical surfaces in non-wet areas, It is not recommended for showers or tub surrounds." Subsequent conversations I had with The Tile Shop and several other contractors revealed that this mastic should only be used for back splashes and NEVER FOR A SHOWER OR TUB SURROUND. (This mastic is not to be confused with premixed thinset which would have been acceptable.) The tiles would have been coming off the wall withing a few years (if not months). When you have chosen large 13 inch tiles, this can be a real safety hazard. Although 95 percent of the tiles were installed at the time, we ended up having to remove and reinstall all of the tiles around the bath tub due to them not adhering properly. There are many other things about our dealings with Elite Bath Solutions that were less than professional including lack of punctuality, cigarette butts on my porch, dust all over the house, paint on my carpet, etc. but the tile issue was the HUGE DISASTER. My wife and I have spent several entire weekends cleaning up this mess and its still not done. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ELITE BATH SOLUTIONS DUE TO EXTREMELY POOR PERFORMANCE AND LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM.

It was really high quality work and it was $1000 cheaper than the other estimates I received. It was the Gold Standard of work and I was really impressed with the incredible craftsmanship. They cleaned up all of the mess afterwards and were just fantastic.
