The man knew what I wanted and he proceeded to help me with my project. Very nice guy.

I had a complex problem with a lock set. He worked hard to solve the problem and I’m happy to say my door is working flawlessly.

Everything went well. Prior to the visit, all charges were explained so we had a good idea of the cost of the job. It was a fairly big job and although a very cold day, done professionally. Would use again.

Pat did a great job! I was concerned that he'd have to replace the door hardware in order to get the deadbolt working again. Though he needed to replace the deadbolt, he didn't need to replace anything else. In addition, he didn't charge me for the deadbolt replacement because it wasn't in his original estimate. It's clear his focus is on customer satisfaction; he could have increased the price but he didn't.

Excellent experience. I was able to schedule an appointment within a day of making the call. He took the time to explain the different options and what would look best. Total cost was $595 and I would highly recommend them. No mess left behind and kept in constant contact before and during our appointment.

I just closed on a townhouse that needed all the locks to be re-keyed and had a custom patio door lock that was broken. Bell's Lock & Key Service was able to repair the patio door lock saving me money on what would have been an expensive replacement. I definitely recommend them!

Paul Bell was so helpful and responsive to my needs and concerns. He was even willing to come out at night to help me. He improved some of the doors locks from previous and his price was below what we paid 7 years ago to have this same thing done and his quality was far superior !

The service and installation was outstanding. The job was a bit unorthodox as we were replacing some very ancient hardware on a very old front door. Patrick was extremely accommodating and transparent about pricing for a job. The final product looks very professional and fits like it was always part of the door. Would definitely recommend their services.

Before Pat made a service call, he advised me on which smart locks to purchase for my doors. He installed two of them for us, rekeyed our doors, and made several copies of the new keys. He did all of it flawlessly. He's also an incredibly pleasant person to speak to. I would never hesitate to call him again if needed.

He was knowledgeable about his trade, and as I'm very inquisitive about how things work, he had the patience to explain what he was doing and how the lock worked. Patrick had to arrive late due to a call he'd gotten that morning for an emergency lock-out, but he arrived right after that & it was not a problem. He got right to work & completed everything in about the 2 1/2 hours that he had stated. Very professional, very nice guy, did good work, & a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend him.

Pat was very professional and very easy to work with and talk to. It was a simple job but he made sure I had all that I needed in spare keys and that the locks worked before he left. Hopefully I don't lock myself out again but if I do I will 100% call Bells Lock and Key Service again.

The work went very well. The only problems we had we with my vocabulary. I didn't quite know how to ask for what I wanted, but Patrick was very patient and explained everything, including a couple of ways to lower the cost. It is also great that he is local to me.

I placed a call to Pat on a Friday evening and explained what I needed. He quoted me a price, which I agreed to, shared that he was licensed, bonded, and insured and; he was at my home within 45 minutes on the same evening! Upon arrival, Pat explained exactly what he was going to do and completed the job within 15 minutes at the price that he quoted. Pat was extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him!

Outstanding service!!!! Recently purchased a new home and wanted to change all the locks. We contacted Bell’s Lock & Key and spoke with Pat who suggested “re-keying” rather than the expensive option of buying new locks for each door. We scheduled an appointment for several days later, Pat arrived approximately 15 minutes early, checked our locks and provided us with a more than reasonable quote, a couple hours later our locks had been “re-keyed” and now we can open any of our doors with only one key. The keys worked perfectly. However, I had to get out of the driveway to my rental. I told Pat that. He remained in his huge truck. He could have pulled up and off to the side where the driveway offered plenty of room. Or he could have backed up into the street to let me out. But what happened instead is that he pulled up just a little, then I pulled up in preparation to back out. Then he stopped. I waited. Then started he started backing up and then I backed up. These maneuvers continued several times back and forth. These absurd maneuvers were somewhat similar to when two people pass in a hall and do a little dance, one goes one way, the other goes another way then they keep going back and forth. In the end I backed up and scraped the logo off Pat's truck. He charged me $350 for it. Honestly we should have split the bill since it was both our faults. But he made me pay the whole thing and started sending me threatening emails. I was already really low on funds since I am doing a number of other very expensive repairs required by Village of Schaumburg. My lesson learned is that next time I need to get out and someone is blocking my way with their enormous truck, I'll physically get out of my vehicle and tell them to please move.
