Bell's Lock & Key Service

Our key got stuck in the front door. There was no way to get it out. This was on a Saturday afternoon. Mr. Bell was able to come out later in the afternoon and get the key out. He also rekeyed the lock so that it would not happen again. He is very professional and does a good job. He dos not try to sell you things you do not need. I was very happy with his service and will be using him again in the future.

Patrick was very responsive answering each of my calls immediately (much better than leaving voice mails back and forth.) I sent him pictures of the locks I wanted replaced or installed through my phone on a Wednesday night and he was back in touch with me Thursday morning at 7:30am with recommendations. He provided an estimate, arrived the next day as we planned, completed the work and I was very pleased. He's knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. This was a very good experience.

Mr. Bell was very thorough; requested a photo in advance to make sure what type of locks he was working on. The replacement matched existing sets exactly. He called ahead of arrival to make sure time was still good. Everything is working great.

After purchasing a new home we had planned on replacing all the exterior door locks and handles on our own. After looking at the prices of new locks online and seeing how much brand new locks/doorknobs cost I decided to investigate the price of a locksmith. Thanks to very detailed reviews on Angie's list I found that hiring Patrick Bell would be less expensive than replacing all components. Not only was the price reasonable for the amount of work performed, but it also cut down on my stress level as we had a very limited amount of time to get things done in the new house before moving in. I had read in a review that people had texted pictures to Patrick in order to get a more accurate estimate of the cost of rekeying and whether certain locks could be rekeyed to use a single key. I phoned Bell's and Patrick very patiently explained how much it would cost for each lock and made sure that I understood that locks where a key is inserted on each side would cost more. I appreciated the level of detail in his explanations. It made me feel more comfortable that there would be no surprises. We also agreed that I would text pictures of locks and keys to him after our closing so that he could be prepared with proper equipment. Patrick arrived at our house and walked through to verify the pricing before performing the work. He wrote down all pricing and told me that we could get the number of keys for our house down to 2 instead of 4. He also suggested adding a deadbolt to the garage-mudroom door. Though I did not possess a key to an exterior sunroom door he as able to key it to match a storage room door and set of French doors. Two of those same doors had deadbolts that did not align with the hole and didn't even lock when Patrick arrived. It was only 25 degrees out the day Patrick performed the work, but that did not stop him from working outside for over an hour to align an obviously bad DIY door on a lower level exterior storage room. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Bell's Lock and Key. The amount of work accomplished by Patrick in 5 hours was more than we could have done in a year. I told Patrick that we had planned to do it ourselves, but knew that something would go wrong. He then took the time to show me where we would have run into trouble. He even adjusted our storm door that didn't latch without me asking and without charging anything (I think mostly because it annoyed him as he entered and exited multiple times). I have heard horror stories about locksmiths overcharging or quoting one price and charging another after services were performed so I was very hesitant to hire one, but after investigating how expensive new hardware was I decide to take a chance. I am extemely happy that I hired Bell's and would recommend Patrick Bell highly.

After contacting Mr. Bell, he was able to come out on the day we requested to rekey some locks, install an additional deadbolt lock and a security bar on a patio sliding door. He was very prompt, friendly and professional. He had, in stock on his truck, a deadbolt that matched our doorknob hardware and a security bar that matched our patio door. He was very efficient and completed all of the work in about 90 minutes. I highly recommend using Bell's Lock and Key.

Patrick Bell was wonderful to work with. He is polite, professional and curteous. He worked with me over the phone and I texted photos of my current door handle set. He detailed the work involved and the pricing of each component. The work was schedule for 2 days later (today) and all work was done to my complete satisfaction. Patrick is personable and puts customer satisfaction as a primary concern. I highly recommend him and would use him again without question.

Pat was very helpful from the start. When I called for an estimate he asked for very detailed information in order to give me an accurate estimate. He was able to tell me what my home would need for a complete lock change, just by my description of each lock. Pat was able to complete the work that same day. When he arrived at my home he was friendly and checked the locks to make sure his estimate was correct. He took his time and performed all of the work. He had me check all of the work myself to make sure the locks could be opened with ease. Pat was excellent!

The job couldn't have gone smoother. Pat came in the house with everything he needed. He did exactly what we asked for without any sales pitch to drive up the cost. This compares to the service we had last November when we needed the same service but were told the locks could not be rekeyed (untrue) and replaced locks at a cost of over $400.

Bob did an excellent job. He didn't rush the job so it was done correctly. He charged a fair price. I would use him again.

Called Pat on the weekend and he came to my home on New Years Eve to repair a broken front door handle and back door lock. He called me to let me know what time he was going to be there and showed up on time. He fixed both locks quickly and also fixed a very difficult lock that had been taken apart by a non licensed handy man.

Pat was very professional from the start. We just purchased a new home and wanted to have the locks rekeyed and replaced in some doors. I texted photos of the locks to Pat and he came out the next day (today) to do the job. Very professional, very courteous, did a great job. He also cleaned the garage floor from the installation of the deadbolt debris. I highly recommend his services to anyone.

I found Bill's information on Angie's List. I lost the key to my storage unit. I called him, set up the appointment for the following day. Bill arrived around 8:00pm, opened the storage, removed old lock, put in a new one and gave me two keys.

Used Bell Lock Service to rekey several locks on a new house we purchased. Called Pat and he gave me a fairly detailed quote on cost to re-key several locks. After calling around, I found their priced to be cheaper than others and called back Pat to schedule the work. He was able to come out the day after we took possession of the house. He was running a little late but did give me a call to let me know which was appreciated. Pat did the work and gave me some recommendations about a deadbolt lock that I was thinking to replace. He was a nice guy and easy to work with it.

I was able to get an appointment scheduled for the afternoon we closed. With Pats help we were able to get our key-chains down to just 2 keys for all of our doors. I was very impressed with the responsiveness, professionalism, and flexibility.

The locksmith was punctual, responsive, and fast. My only complaint is that he told me he would check on new knobs that he may have in stock, but never followed up on it.

Was the lowest price and showed up the same day as called. Outstanding response time. Very knowledgable and took extra time to explain what needed to be done. Even offered assistance regarding the garage door opener.

He scheduled meeting soon after I called. Worked within my schedule to allow for minimal disruption to tenants. Discussed all options for rekeying and help me pick the best alternative for the building. He was knowledgable and helpful.

Pat was great. He showed up on time and was very professional. He re-keyed all of the locks including ones where we had never been given a key when we moved in 2 years ago. He was friendly and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
