THEY CHARGED TOO MUCH. ALL I ASKED FOR WAS A FURNACE INSPECTION.

They were able to fix my furnace when another company was unable to do so. The serviceman was professional, nice, and fixed the problem. I would recommend them to fix your furnace.

Customers Beware! G and R is price gouging customers while using highly unprofessional tactics! A G and R employee performed work on my townhome a/c unit. 8/20/2021 I was billed $1183.32 for a simple repair that should cost less than $400. I later called three Heating and Air companies with more than 20 years in the business. They provided the following info; G and R charged $290 for a 45+5 mfd capacitor. Three reputable competitors charge $45, $105, $117, installed. (average price $89 vs $290 by G and R) ...retail cost on Amazon; $15 It gets worse... The G and R employee then claimed my the system was low on refrigerant. He claimed he added 2 lbs of R-22 refrigerant, but he had no weight scale to prove it. He said the scale went missing from his truck. That is highly unprofessional and no reputable company in the industry uses those tactics. The scale is a required piece of equipment when determining the amount of refrigerant being sold to the customer. Did he add refrigerant or remove it? Using his tactics provides a convenient opportunity to cheat the customer while billing 3 to 5 times the current rate for R-22. It provides the customer with no proof that any R-22 was added. And he did not show the 'before and after' readings on the pressure gauges to indicate whether the pressures were improved. Did he cause the pressures to go up or down? I was billed $797.50 or $398.75 per lb for R-22 refrigerant. I told him that his rates seemed highly overpriced and he replied **R-22 is expensive because it is no longer being produced**. Three reputable companies charge $65, $75, $120 per lb for R-22. (average price $87 vs $398.75 by G and R) ....SHOCKING! G and R service charge; $95 Three reputable companies service charge $50, $89, $99. (average price $79 vs $95 by G and R) Total bill; $1183.32 by G and R vs $342 average price charged by reputable companies. Conclusion; G and R charges at least 3 times more than reputable companies. I called 4 additional companies. All 7 companies were shocked by G and Rs rates and confirmed my opinion that G and R is price gouging customers. Customers Beware!

It's hard for me to give a complete rating because both the gentlemen today and on August 17th couldn't find the problem and yet yesterday when it was very hot the system went down. That is, only the outdoor condenser was not working; the inside fan was working fine.

It was Great they came troubleshot the problem and even had the part in the truck.

Needed expedited service when my A/C went out during a heat wave. They got a service tech out the next morning who diagnosed the problem (a failing, but not yet dead compressor), talked though the options with me, and was able to provide quotes for repair and replacement before he left. I did pay a $135 emergency service fee, but they were upfront about that cost prior to booking the appointment and in the end it was worth because now I really understand what the issue is and can plan accordingly.

The technician was quick and accurate in diagnosis and seemed skilled in the work done (a brazing job). The fee charged seemed high, but they all do.

My overall experience was wonderful! They got there on time, and did a great job of swapping our old AC with the new one. The apartment felt great with the new AC working!

G&R were very professional. They were very quick to serve and were able to come the next day. They did tune up on my ac unit and replaced some drain pipe that was clogged. Replacing drain pipe was a little expensive and I wasn't provided the cost before hand. Otherwise, Rob was a very friendly technician.

The G & R technician was able to identify the real problem as a faulty thermostat and not the outdoor equipment as multiple techs from a previous company had suggested, "repaired", and charged for what turned out to be unnecessary work.

Excellent customer service and a knowledgeable technician. He showed up exactly when scheduled even though I called for an emergency repair on a Saturday evening. He found the problem and fixed it very quickly.

The technician was very thorough and helped us understand the different gages for our system and what the levels mean. He explained everything as he went through a very thorough inspection to diagnose the issue. He repaired our AC unit and got it running within his first visit. At the end, he let us know about a maintenance package that would save us money in the long run. Very happy with our technician and G&R.
