We had a few phone conversations. Decided to not to use an architect for reasons other than Tim's performance.

We met with Tim after working with a few other architects in the area to develop conceptual plans for our addition and renovation project. He showed up on time and was very professional, but after the first meeting we weren't sure if he fully understood the ideas we wanted to pursue. He promptly responded with a bid for the work, and his reiteration of our goals made it clear that he listened well during our meeting and understood our project. His price for the work was lower than the other architects we interviewed, and the references I called (including one I found online which he had not included on his reference sheet) all had nothing but positive things to say about his work. It has taken about two and a half months to go from concept to final blueprints, and Tim was extremely prompt with making revisions after each of our meetings. The process would have gone much more quickly if we had been faster to get back to Tim with comments after each meeting on our end. He was honest about our ideas, and made a few helpful suggestions based on his experience. We have not yet started construction, but are very happy with the process and Tim's work to date.
