CARPET ONE DOUGLAS

My remodeling project was large and Douglas Carpet One was only one part of this project. Douglas Carpet One was timely, professional and finished their work with in the scheduled time. They worked very well with the other tradesmen that were also working in my home. I love the quality of the work I received from them! I had 3 different people from this company in my home. (hardwood, tile and carpet installers) Every one of them was friendly and helpful and considerate of the fact that I was living in my home during this project. They were willing to move my furniture to complete this work and even worked around my very heavy piano. I had a need for a few touch ups and the owner of the company came back to my house to finish any touch ups that needed to be done to my satisfaction. This company cares about the quality of work they perform. I am certain this company stand behind their work and I feel that I can call them again if I need to. I would definitely recommend Douglas Carpet One to anyone who wants hardwood, tile or carpeting done in their home. I am really really happy with this company.

1) It was our understanding, based on the indication from the sales person, that the quarter round would be removed during the refinishing process and then new quarter round would be installed at the end of the refinishing process. Once the project was started, there was an indication that the quarter round would not be replaced and would look fine. It does not look good and very unprofessional. 2) The furniture was moved out and work began. New wood floors were installed in the two rooms and necessary replacement wood in the kitchen at the point of the leak. All seemed to be going well until the sanding and application of the polyurethane was completed. We were told that a 48 hour period is to be allowed after the last coat of polyurethane is applied. The last coat was applied on Monday and I received a call on Tuesday afternoon that they what to put the furniture back. I asked about the 48 hour waiting time and the owner said it was dry and they could proceed. As it turns out we got the "bums rush" to cover up uneven sanding issues. The finished result is horrible. Uneven sanding, puddles of polyurethane , poor finish at the quarter round leaving a lousy result. They should not be used for any job.

I am thrilled with the work I recieved from Douglas Carpet One! They arrived on time and completed all work on schedule. They worked along with the other carpenters and painters that were in my house to do other work on my remodel. They came back to my home twice to do minor touch-ups. They made my satisfaction with their work a priority. Douglas Carpet One was a big part of my remodeling project and I'm delighted with the work they provided. I would choose Douglas Carpet One again if I decided to do any other work in my home. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.
