The contractor was very easy to work with. He explained everything clearly. He worked with our budget and design ideas to customize the space. He demonstrated a mastery of his craft with some of the customized finishes. He returned phone calls and emails within 24 hours or less. The workers and sub-contractors he sent were punctual, cleaned up well and did excellent work. I'd work with them all again.

At first it went well and job progressed quickly. Then the subcontractors kept running out of material. They said they would replace the soffit and eves but did not remove the old wood eves under the old soffit. I had ordered special factory finished siding - they ran short and brought siding in from another job and painted it in the field. The windows they installed were not pre-finished like I had selected and they would not exchange them. At the end of the job I was given a bill for another $6500 for "change orders" - I agreed to some but some I had never heard of and wanted to negotiate for the wrong siding and windows being used. They responded by threatening to file a lien on the house when they had not even finished the job I consulted a lawyer but the attorney said it would cost more to fight it than the difference I was trying to get about $2500. As a result I will end up finishing the siding myself. They charged me extra for things they had agreed contractually to do and did not finish the job. I would not hire them again.
