 + -1 moreThey responded quickly to get the concrete poured and the weather was favorable. I expressed my concerns to the rep. for the garage builder, but from his response I don't think he knew much about concrete or else he didn't want to admit to any problems or in choosing this concrete contractor.
Description of Work: This was a contract concrete garage pour handled by representative of the garage builder. The price was a package that included the concrete foundation. While I don't know anything about concrete, this concrete contactor & workers seemed to be in a hurry. They didn't place reinforcing rod grid down before they poured the concrete. All I noticed is randomly placed rods thrown down at the start of the pour. I'm not sure of what the concrete contained as it set up fast. While the concrete that the garage sets on looks nice & smooth with some color variation, I was not pleased with the 4 ft. entry into the garage - it has a couple of cracks at the edges where is bumps up against the older concrete. They needed to trim the old concrete so that there would be a straight edge before they poured the entry, but they ignored my inquiry and concern. When they poured this garage entry section, again they threw in 2-3 pieces of reinforcing rod into the concrete. The foam strip at edge was also placed down down as the pour was being made, therefore it wasn't even. They came back to trim this foam that stuck up & it is uneven - again in a hurry. I would not recommend this concrete contractor - they were probably cheaper in price from other concrete contractors. I had no choice in who would do the concrete as this was handled by the rep. of the garage builder.
