He's a good man, he came in and was able to do a couple of odd jobs we had around here. He and my husband are film buffs and they had a very nice conversation. An interesting person to talk to. He fixed everything just fine, clean as a whistle and a very nice guy; I would highly recommend to anyone.

It didn't go well. Problem still not solved, but Jeff was a nice guy. To be fair, he only had two hours to correct a problem that apparently will take longer than that. At the end of the day, I say it didn't go well because after spending the money, I'm still in the same exact spot, which sucks.

Jeff and his coworker arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and got right to work. He was very responsive and helpful when discussing the work at hand ahead of time and came to the job prepared and ready to go. I will certainly use Jeff in the future for any major or minor electrical work moving forward - he was very personable, very reasonable in terms of cost, and trustworthy. His experience was very apparent when he consulted with me about other various electrical questions throughout our home.

He arrived within a half hour of our call. Because the breakers were an older type, he went back home to get a couple he had on hand. That saved us $40 apiece. Every thing was done in about an hour and a half. We were very pleased.

It was a great experience. Jeff replaced some problematic light fixtures in the house that had old wiring, removed older fluorescent fixtures and addressed any potential wiring hazards. Jeff was very easy to relate to, he exhibited a professional demeanor, was very courteous, and had a great way of explaining the work being performed and his approach. Jeff provided an excellent and friendly experience. We would be glad to receive his help in the future.

I called to get an estimate for a substantial amount of work on my house, whereupon he told me that he was too busy and it was too far for him. I live in on the north side of Chicago. I can't testify to his workmanship, but over the phone he was dismissive and uninterested in working 10 miles away from his office address.

Was looking for electrician to swap out a dimmer and repair or replace track lighting. This provider could not be bothered to return my call. Would not recommend.

See the above breakdown, re: what the provider did for the answer to this question. Jeff has a wealth of experience from a long-term career in his trade. He can do a multiplicity of different, unrelated electrical work. He is professional and does a good job for a fair price. He is punctual and, follows up upon completion of the work. You just need to have good communication and be able to direct him in what it is you want and he delivers!

It was great. We now have all our appliances on a dedicated circuit.

I had emailed him through Angie's list he got back to me the next day. for more details. It took a day to get another response but explained he was busy, but was able to come out the next day at 9 am. He was there right at 9am. I explained the problem and he went right to work. took about 2 minutes before he diagnosed the problem. he quickly fixed the issue and had power restored to area. He had also noticed another issue that he said would need to be addressed in the near future.. Would definitely use again. His price was reasonable, but he was done in about 20 minutes. I imagine if he was there fro hours it would have cost more. I do have some more work that'll need to be done in the near future and he will be doing it!!!!

We had a great experience with Jeff. We were renovating a basement and our general contractor?s quote seemed high, so we picked Jeff from Angie?s list for his amazing history of excellent reviews and reasonable price. Our challenges was, we had a tight window in which to complete the electric work -- we had to do it after our GC did some slab work and before our GC put in spray foam insulation. Jeff booked a whole day for us based on our over-the-phone description of the job. When Jeff couldn't complete it in a day (no fault of his; it was just a bigger job than we described), he came back on a Saturday to ensure electric was finished in time for our GC. We were very happy with the quality of Jeff?s work. I think some customers ask electricians to do work that is against code or otherwise dangerous, get angry when the electrician refuses to do so, and accuse him of overcharging. Jeff has the integrity to say no to something that is against code or otherwise dangerous, and sometimes doing it right comes with a cost. But you don't want to take chances with electric, so I consider that a positive. But that?s not to say Jeff?s overpriced -- in fact, his prices were the lowest we?ve found over years of working with licensed electricians. He charged $75 an hour. We found his prices to be so reasonable for the value he provided, and him so accommodating, we elected NOT to use the Angie's List coupon that would have saved us 15%. Plus, he?s just a nice guy. I understand what other reviewers say about his phone manner; it came across as somewhat distracted, but he wasn?t like that in person at all. For example, he helped us mount a flag pole because he had the equipment we didn?t. By the second day we had him eating lunch with the family. He?s definitely our go-to electrician from now on.

We called Jeff Fischer because half of the electricity was out in my house. If we tripped the breakers it would come back on but then flake out again. We have a gas furnace but the pilot is electric and so when the electricity was off in that half, the house was freezing! So we called Jeff. He's $75/hour. He came and diagnosed out electrical box. He didn't find anything wrong so he left without doing anything. We can literally hear crackling in the box, so we know there is a part that is bad/blown. He said if it happened again, to call him back and he'd make another service call without a charge because he didn't do anything the first time. Of course, it happened again, but he was "sick" so we waited a couple of days and he made it out to our house. En route, he called to say he'd be there in a few minutes and there would be a charge for the service call. Ok, we wouldn't have used him again if we had known this - but since he was a few minutes away and the house was freezing we said ok. He arrived and said he'd take a look again. We have told him where to look for the issue - specifically the part that is crackling. He said ok. When he left half an hour later with ANOTHER $75 of ours, he said we'd need to replace the electric box. What?? He didn't identify the crackling piece and it could still be heard. So we've paid $150 for NOTHING. And he used a $57 part that we had purchased and had sitting in the kitchen upstairs to return because we didn't need it. So we are $207 into this guy and he wants another $1000 to change the box. I called a second opinion. He was available and came right over within the hour. He tested a few things and identified the crackling - which amazingly was the cause of the issue - in a matter of minutes. Replaced the part and tested the entire house in less than 2 hours and now we're good! I'm so glad I didn't replace the electric box when I didn't need too.

We had completed most of the panel labeling ourselves, but there were a few tricky circuits that needed professional help. Jeff showed up on time and had the right tools for the job. He relied on our input to pinpoint where the questionable things were, as opposed to checking every single thing himself, but that was to be expected for this deal. If you expect a thorough inspection, you'll need to make sure you provide a clear path to everything. In other words, move large furniture away from power receptacles, etc. Jeff provided insight and approximate cost estimates for additional work we were considering. And because our contracted work didn't take very long that day, he even did some minor troubleshooting on a dead power receptacle. As it turned out, there was no proper power feed to it. There were wires in there, but not the correct ones and not enough of them! We were happy to finally cap it off once and for all. Overall we had a good experience and would invite Jeff back if we ever have more work done.

I had them out a couple times. They did a great job on the work I needed done such as adjust an outdoor light and other small electrical jobs. I had no problem scheduling the deal and they made sure to keep in touch with me.

They were fine. My interaction with them was good. The work they did turned out good. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. They came out right away after the deal was purchased.

He did everything, he's very helpful, and a very pleasant guy. Another electrician that I told to come for the outdoor outlet that was broken had just said that it wasn't possible to fix them, but Jeff just came out and fixed them so I would use that as a reference to the level of the quality of his service. But when he answered the phone the first time I called him, he sounded like I was interrupting right in the middle of a job or a little gruff, maybe however he turned out to be very pleasant. I think he's not call person guy.

He needed help from us, rather than bringing assistants to hold the chandelier, fan and track lights.

Jeff was able to do the job within a few days of contacting him. He arrived on time, quietly went to work, cleaned up after himself, and disposed of our old fan. Overall, he did an excellent job and we are quite pleased.

Mr. Fischer responded the same day I called and showed up as promised. I expected the repair to be pretty simple and it was. He checked out the light fixed the problem and was done. Will definitely use Jeff Fischer in the future if needed.

Jeff was professional, yet personable. The work was done correctly and efficiently. We will definitely recommend and hire Jeff again!

Jeff and I worked out our schedules so he set it for a morning. Despite some issues due to unexpected pipes in above the ceiling, Jeff was on his way by early afternoon with minimal mess and dust. Should have had him install them sooner.

Was spot on with competitor quotes and walked me through the whole inspection and labeling.

He did a good job. I would recommend him to others.
