Jeff Fischer Electric

We lost power to a few circuits in our Chicago Bungalow on a Saturday morning while running the dishwasher and laundry appliances. After finding out that it wasn't simply a tripped breaker or GFCI, we called Jeff and he was able to come out within an hour on a Sat. morning which I thought was great. He professionally answered my questions, listened to the symptoms, and was able to trouble shoot the problem under a half an hour. After listening to the symptoms, he took off the cover to the circuit panel and tested the power on the circuits and the main lines. He found that one of the main lines didn't have power. We then went outside and he pointed out that the drop lines coming into the house were not properly connected to the utility lines in the alley. It seems either the electrician who upgraded our electric panel a few years back did not notify Comed or Comed didn't come out to properly connect the power lines. He recommended I call Comed which I did (by the way, Comed came out the same day and fixed the problem). I thought the $50 was very reasonable considering the last minute, weekend request. Will definitely call Jeff again for future electrical work, especially since he's in the next neighborhood over, Elmwood Park.

aJeff was very communicative about some car trouble he was having that was going to make him late. He showed up and the revised appointment time and worked for a little past the allotted two hours to finish my job. He also asked for an additional $25 for supplies and time overage which I happily paid - it was only fair. He seemed very knowlegable and professional and I would certainly use him again if the opportunity arises.

Although it wasn't the type of electrical job he usually does, Jeff replaced the fan in our attic and did a very good job.

This is the second time we've had Jeff help us out with our electrical. The first time he installed a chandelier, and this time he replaced a number of our light switches with dimmers. Jeff is great at what he does: fast, neat, courteous (with a dry sense of humor, no extra charge.) We will definitely be calling Jeff again.

Jeff had the flu when I contacted him so unfortunately it was difficult to connect in the beginning. However, once Jeff came by our home, he was so honest about our "electrical outlet problem." It turned out that all we needed to do was reset the fuse box. He even offered to waive this visit and hold the $30 coupon for an issue in the future. I told him not to worry about that. But I would definitely use his services in the future simply because he was kind and honest.

Jeff was prompt, thorough and attentive to what we needed. He worked quickly and didn't over charge us at all. He was pleasant to speak with and we even used him for a follow up need that came up a few weeks down the road. Thanks Jeff.

Jeff came same day! Was professional. Did the best he could in the situation that presented itself (not ideal outdoor positioning) and taught me how to install a timer switch so that it could be installed after he left. Relaxed, patient, honest and decent guy. Will look to him for electrical work in the future. In fact, I am emailing him for a quote as we speak.

A pleasant experience from start to finish

We had a very hard time getting him to respond to calls to set up an appoint. When he finally came he was friendly but not especially useful.

Jeff returned my phone calls and was flexible with scheduling a time to come to the work. Jeff was courteous and friendly. He worked with us to brainstorm solutions to our problems and we were pleased with his work. Some of the work took a bit longer than I had expected, but his prices were great and he did a nice job. He was experienced and I would recommend him.

He was punctual, efficient and pleasant to talk to

Jeff the electrician was there on time. work was performed with little or no supervision. priced was very reasonable. lower than other quotes recommendded from my real estate lady.

Jeff inspected our ceiling fan, and diagnosed the problem in the light socket. He appreciated the quality of the fan, and we agreed that he should try to repair it rather than replace it with the cheaper models currently sold in home repair stores. He attempted to repair the light socket, with our agreement that he would replace the socket if the repair did not work. After a few days, the light stopped working again, so he returned and replaced the socket. It's been working great ever since! While it was difficult to schedule with him (due to the strong response to his Angie's List Big Deal), he made time to come by to finish the job just before we listed our house for sale.

Initially it was difficult to contact Jeff and schedule the appointment. I called and left several messages. However, once we connected and scheduled he was prompt and worked diligently to get the job done. He was professional and I was comfortable with the work he completed in the allotted time.

It went very well. We are happy and recommend Jeff and his company to others.

Call Jeff to setup an appointment, he came in on saturday morning and started working. He went over a little bit, and I paid him the extra, which was an additional 20 or so dollars. Overall had a great experience.

this was part of an angie's list special offer for 3 hours of electrical service for $75.00 Jeff Fischer, the electrician, showed up on time and performed every task we requested, We had spoken with him previously to describe the scope of the work which I would highly recommend doing. He was prompt, pleasant and knew what he was doing. Would most definitely use him again.

Everything went well, but the installer called me the morning of the appointment asking for further details on what needed to be done, even though we had already covered that. There was a fan and light switch that had a different configuration that Jeff said he didn't have any experience with, so that did not get done. It seemed like he had a rough night the night before and was a little slow going when he arrived, but things started to speed up after he got into it. He was a very nice guy and I would consider using him again, but I was not blown away.

I contacted him via phone on Feb 21st to schedule the appointment. He had me text him the dates that I could meet. He never called. I text him asking for a refund on Feb 26th if he no longer wanted to honor the coupon. He contacted me back and I gave him 3 more dates. We agreed on March 15th at 2pm. I rushed out of work to get home on time. He no showed, no call. I'm trying to get my money back. I don't want him to do work in my house if he's this unreliable.

Mr. Fisher arrived on time and stayed until the job - which was much more than he anticipated - was completed. He came well supplied, was thorough, and professional. We had other people doing various jobs in the small area and he worked around them without complaint from anyone.
