The service man was very professional and helpful in understanding what all was performed. He also offered simple tips to DIY care.

There service was okay, but their pricing was over-inflated. They charged me over four times what a part cost. I called up the person in the organization and he gave me a bit of bull so I decided to let it go. The parts were way, way too overcharged. For a $30 capacitor part they charged me something, like, around $178. They came out a few days after I bought the deal. I said that I would not used those guys again. They cleaned up after they left.

All I have to say is WOW. I never usually write reviews but I had to for this one. I have two 50 gallon water tanks in my home that were both broken (one has been out since 2013). Freedom came out and absolutely made my day by fixing the one that has been out since 2013 and told me it should work fine for quite a while. Another company tried to get me to replace both units for $4000. Guillermo was the tech and he was simply amazing. Honest, to the point, and talented. Thanks for saving me $3700. When these water heaters finally die, I know who to call!

The service met my expectations as they came on time and completed the tuneup in an efficient manner. They also provided tips on how to keep my unit running without problems.

It went very well! We've actually been having an issue with the furnace for the last couple of years where it randomly would stop working and then eventually would kick back on. We called a couple of different providers and they could not figure out what was wrong, and honestly we gave up on it since it happened so sporadically. Well, Freedom came out to tune up the A/C which they did a great job on. He also checked out the furnace while he was here and pointed out a part on the furnace that was not functioning properly and told us that it could cause the furnace to not work properly (and we didn't even mention this was an issue)! So, not only did we have an AC ready to go, we now have a fully functional furnace! Outside of the visit going well, we loved working with Freedom. They show up on time, and even call to let us know they are on their way. Very clean and friendly while in the house, and the tech explained everything he was doing as he was doing it. I will definitely be using them again when it is time to tune up the furnace for the start of winter.

Serviceman arrived promptly, was courteous and professional in manner, worked diligently to clean two AC units, additional cost of $100 per unit was reasonable and well-deserved. I also appreciate the ease of scheduling the appointment; representative was personable and helpful - extra points for Freedom Heating & Cooling!

Went well. Tested everything. Happily answered questions and explained the process. Very professional, put on 'booties' to not track dirt into the house. Added about .5 lb of freon - and it was the correct type (R-22).

Excellent. Great company, very friendly, flexible and competent. Had to reschedule a couple of times on the air duct cleaning, the first time was on their end and they discounted my service. Same workers, knew the house, were very neat and did a great job!

Willie is fabulous; talked me through the technical details and then walked me through the maze of actual conditioning units up on my roof. What a pity that the identifying numbers have worn off of most of the machines, mine included, of course. Willie narrowed it down, and there she was: the most dilapidated pile of ruins up there. I expressed my concerns about the languishing furnace situation which prompted Willie to call his boss to see if a deal could be had. Good fortune was smiling down on me that day and I was offered and promptly accepted an excellent deal on a new Lennox Air Conditioner and a new Lennox Furnace( plus installation and excellent warranties). The following Monday Genti, another expert from Freedom, and his coworkers arrived early and stayed late arranging my shiny new HVAC system in all it's glory. Genti was amazing in his persistence; who knew that the previous furnace installers had cemented the furnace into the floor? Not to mention it was hotter than Hades in my little bathroom with that soot filled utility closet. A job well done, thank you Freedom Heating and Cooling. Wish I would have known about that Angie's List COUPON the previous reviewer was whining about! Checking Angie's List is key, people. Checking Angie's List is KEY.

It didn't' happen. Despite not including any service area limitations in their offer, they refused to honor the deal because they do not "service the area I live in"….Chicago?!?!. I am 5-7 minutes south of downtown and about 18 miles from their office or 20-25 minutes during the non-rush hour period. What is this really about?

The tech that came out was really great. He was on time and communicative. He was honest with me about the state of my furnace and air conditioner, he explained everything that he was doing, and explained my options with various price ranges. When I am looking to replace my units or for future repairs, I will definitely be working with Freedom Heating & Cooling.

the representative, who's name escapes me right now, was very professional, very polite, super fast both jobs took a little over an hour well below the 2 hour estimate I initially was given over the phone. He also wore shoe covers as he entered and worked in my home, which was super great. I would definitely use them again

I had a tech name WILLIE come out to trouble shoot, he end up telling me that i needed freon for my AC unit but the price he was giving me was for the wrong FREON and i knew it but he kept saying that i was wrong and try to charge me $95 per pound when it should of cost only $65 per pound. The total charge would of been close to $500. I called and complain to someone in the office and he said that there was nothing he can do and that his manager or owner would call me back but that never happen. I end up hiring someone else who give me the correct freon for the right price. I offer to send the invoice to Freedom Heating & Cooling but they decline. Please do not deal with them or work with the tech Willie, totally bad service.

Technician was great and did a very good job, but I bought an "Angie's List deal" $199 for an HVAC assessment (not entirely sure what that was other than him saying that my unit is dirty and checking to see how cold the hose was) and an extra $160 for cleaning and freon, which all told is a pretty steep price. Looking back it wasn't much of a deal, but a con. In the future I will avoid the "Angie's list deal" for this and just contact an HVAC service provider independently and ask them for a cleaning and add freon. Hint: Watch YouTube videos on how to clean the AC unit yourself.

I purchased the seasonal AC tune-up. Upon arrival the technician repeatedly complained about the AC unit being on the roof and told me there would be a "ladder fee" of $90 because he had to use a 10 foot ladder to get on the roof. I had never been charged a "ladder fee" in 10 years of having hvac technicians out to my property, but I was in a time crunch so I agreed. During the check-up he ended up changing the capacitor and said the unit otherwise looked good. Since he serviced the unit I have had problems with the ac tripping the main circuit breaker. I bought out a different company to look at it and they said the wiring was shot and had to be replaced. Now the unit runs fine. The new technician said the problem was fairly obvious which makes me think something was missed during the AC inspection or the wiring was done wrong when the capacitor was replaced.

Encountered Peter svcing another unit in bidg. Pete agreed to look at my HVAC with in 2hrs. All was working properly.

The best part of it is that, I called in the day before and they were able to fit me in the next day. They were able to get me in the day after I called, early in the morning. It was really impressive. We will continue to use them. We have had them service our other furnace one time as well. We always call them because they provide us with wonderful customer service.
