Description of Work: Terribly Dissapointed that Angies List would offer whole house humidification system installed and then tell you that its just the price of the Humidifier and mounting it on your furnace. The gentleman came to my house and basically told me that connection was not included. He charged me an extra $60 for materials and labor to "Hook up" the humidifier so that it actually provided Humidification to the home. I would not buy this if I already had a whole house humidifcation system. I actually suggested it to others but have since recinded my reccomendation after they charged me to connect and make sure the humidifier worked. The service tech was nice but the strategy was bait and switch. Dissapointed!

In an event such as this it seems the miss-conception is that any and all alterations needed to make sure the humidifier can work is all included in the discounted price. It is important to keep in mind that although products can work on multiple models there are situations where modifications need to be made in order for the product to work as it is supposed to. In this case we did charge an additional $60.00 dollars in order to supply a water line and drain. It does state on the deal (copied from the Angie's list website) " Additional cost if alterations to installation space are required" which this was the case in this matter. The definition of "Bait and Switch" according to merriam-webster is "a selling method in which a customer is attracted by the advertisement of a low-priced product but then is encouraged to buy a more expensive one" which is definitely not the case here. The "Bait and Switch" can be an illegal practice in many states and would hurt us as a company to do such a thing, attempting to do something like that would go against everything we stand for as a company. We apply more efforts to keep our customers for life for their needs and in return we offer a service that allows us to stay in business. Hi there, actually on the accusation of our deal being a fraud is something we'd like to address. the A/C tuneup that was purchased by yourself was completed, the technician did do an inspection of the unit and found that there was a burnt contact and that it was low on freon by about 1-3lbs. He did quote you on the repairs that may have been needed, and also recommended possibly adding a surge protector in order to avoid the pitting on those contacts in the future. Defrauding someone by definition would be lying about what the deal actually was and not performing what actually was needed. In this case he did the tune-up and found so potential issues that could have stopped the unit from running correctly during the hot season. We would never want to over sell or hard upsell any customers, it's not how we survive as a company, our mission rather is to make a long term connection with our customers so that whenever they need us. In this case these were things our tech felt that you may need and nothing more. We thank you for the review though, it helps us learn and grow and we do appreciate that.

Description of Work: They performed a duct cleaning on our forced air duct system for a single apartment. They did a professional job and we were satisfied with the result. They did try to upsell us on a few things that I did not think were necessary, but that was expected. However, we only chose this service because it was being offered through AL at a good discount and we would not have hired them at the regular price listed of over $600.

Description of Work: I think they did a fine job with vent cleaning. They did a lot of up-selling and I went along with it. They also had me fill out the review form immediately before they left. I felt pressured by them. However, the thing that most irritated me, was to go down to my basement afterward and see their stick on decals EVERYWHERE. I felt slimed! It was very unprofessional. The many, many decals and stickers made a mess of my furnaces and other equipment.
