Description of Work: They contacted me right away and we set up the time for them to come on June 3rd. When the technician saw that we had a Space Pac A/C he stated that they do not service that type of system. He went on to explain that it is calibrated differently than a regular a/c system. He did give me a referral to a company who installs and services Space Pac systems.

Description of Work: Service guy showed up and said that he could only service one unit because the other two were inaccessible to service. Never had that problem before, but he was good enough to say that I could have a refund and only charged me for one unit.

Description of Work: Spring cleaning and inspection of central air conditioner. Two technicians came - one handled the inside inspection while the other cleaned and inspected the outside compressor. Everything was completed within 45 minutes. We were their first job of the day which left me the rest of the day to handle errands and housework.

Description of Work: Vendor required me to provide a ladder, but my ladder would not reach the roof. Then they tried to waive the "ladder charge" but the bosses wouldn't do it. In 10+ years I have never been asked to provide a ladder for AC service. AC is roof mounted and roof is accessible. Waste of time with this company. I'll keep looking

Thank you so much for your review. In this particular case we never truly "required" you to provide a latter. It was a gesture we tried to offer in order for you to avoid the $89.00 latter charge. The latter you were able to provide us was unsuited for the height we needed it for, it was approximately 2 feet short. Now keep in mind, technicians have to trek tools up a latter with them which can weigh up to about 70 lbs, now this unit is on a roof 3 stories high off of a balcony. Imagine yourself adding a 70lb weight to your shoulder, climbing a latter, then having to hop 2 feet to jump on a roof, while behind you is a 3 story drop to serious injury or death. You see, we offer our customers a break if they can provide their own latter to access units in order to avoid an $89.00 latter fee. This means that the latter has to be safe enough to use, OSHA requires all ladders to be 2 feet beyond the reach of the destination where the person is climbing (there's a reason for that) and the reason being is that there are to many ways for someone to fall if the latter comes short of it's destination. Now in these cases it is important that one should put themselves in our technicians shoes, if you were the technician and had to lug tools up of a latter that came short of it's destination and had to climb up and down this insufficient latter and risk falling 3 stories to your death for the price of $39.00, what decision would you make? In business, there is a question that everyone has to ask themselves, and that is (is the risk worth the reward?) In this case it just wasn't, we do apologize for not being able to help you with this unit, but truly, you were never required to put a latter there. We offered this option to save you the $89.00 service charge, and the ladder that was provided was not sufficient or safe enough to be able to reach the building. These risks are real, we spend countless amounts of time to find good techs, and to also train new techs to be just as good, we would never let it be allowed to put them in a difficult and dangerous situation at any price, because the potential loss would be devastating, not only to us as a business but to the families of our employees. Although the grading on this review would seem unfavorable to most, but to us it is actually a great learning experience, and from this we learned that making difficult decisions is never easy, and this experience also taught us how much we value our employees and their safety and for that we thank you so much, have a wonderful summer.

Description of Work: Repaired AC unit. It went well, they came quickly, but the charges were very expensive! I think they were legitimate, I just couldn't believe the cost of freon these days. We purchased a deal from them which included 2 annual maintenance visits for each of our 2 HVAC units. When we called in the spring to use the next visit, they had NO record of our purchase. It took 2 weeks and multiple phone calls to get it straightened out. Eventually they serviced our AC units, but it was a hassle to get it done. And they recommended further necessary repairs. Overall good provider, but feel they recommend repairs that are not urgent or necessary to drive up fees.

Description of Work: We were experiencing short-cycling where our furnace was turning on and off again very quickly and wasn't efficiently heating our house. The appointment was quick and the tech showed up on-time. He did a VERY thorough inspection of our entire furnace and explained every detail of what he was looking at (I was interested). He didn't find anything wrong per se but did notice our flame sensor was quite oxidized which can cause short-cycling though we were unable to reproduce the problem while he was here. He cleaned the sensor and put it all back together and everything has been working perfectly since. | |I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: The service was good - the gentleman was professional. They did tell me I needed to replace a small piece in my furnace and charged me $85 for that. When I googled the part Amazon was selling for $10 so I feel like that was a bit excessive for the price. Other than that service was good.

The price for the part that was replaced does include the time in labor to install it and to also make sure it is in working condition, many customers do look up parts online and find much lower prices on the parts themselves, these prices can be deceiving at times due to the fact that some may not be rated for your particular unit. Also to have parts readily available from our distributors and warehoused does accrue more cost then ordering direct from a vendor.
