Atlas sent someone to look at what work was needed. They suggested I hire a structural engineer, which I did. In September, I sent them the structural engineer report and said I wanted to have jack posts put in. They said someone would have to come out, again, to take a look at the job. I stated that I wanted to get the work done as soon as possible. Someone did come out in October and I was told that they would have to consult with their construction professionals in the office regarding the specifics of the job, and they would get back to me. I again stated that I wanted to get the work done ASAP. I NEVER heard back from Atlas. If the job was too small, or whatever the reason, they should have had the professional courtesy to get back to me. Instead, everyone's time was wasted.

Response from Atlas Restoration LLC
This review is extremely unfair and simply false. I have reviewed our file on this client and will summarize our experience briefly below in attempt to defend my company and our reputation. We take customer service very seriously at Atlas! On May 5th, 2017 we sent out a sales engineer to provide a free evaluation at the client's request. Gary performed the most thorough inspection possible but the issue's the client were experiencing were very difficult to ascertain without a fully forensic investigation. Gary provided a proposal on May 5th to the homeowner to perform this investigation. The client declined to have us perform the work and asked for a recommendation of an independent firm. We provided and logged for our records the recommendation. The client hired the other firm who then went out and, according to the homeowner, did not provide any written documentation. At the client's request, we then sent Gary out a second time (we never charged a penny for either of these consultations or referrals - nor will we ever) on October 20th, 2017. At this visit the client said the engineer said nothing needed remediation but if the homeowner wanted to strengthen or replace a column and pad in the basement it was up to her (this account is the best Gary could remember and it may not be precise). Point being, Gary put together a second proposal to replace a column and pad in the crawl space and that proposal was emailed to the client on November 1st. As I have hopefully conveyed, we are in the business of, not only permanently repairing homes, but in treating any and all potential clients with respect, prompt responsiveness and, if necessary, multiple free inspections, proposals and referrals. I truly don't know what I, as an owner, could have done any better for this prospective client!

I was very impressed with Atlas. The team was prompt, hard working, and quick. I expected that digging holes for 5 piers would make quite a mess. However, they had it down to a science -- Plastic sheets to protect the ground and then cover the excavated dirt so it didn't blow around or get muddy when it rained. Noise was minimal - much less than I thought it would be. They were done in 3 days, and cleaned up so well, you could hardly tell that anything had been done.
Description of Work: Our foundation was sinking. We needed piers to stabilize and raise the basement foundation.

I didn't have work done, but that is because Gary helped me figure out that my leaking wasn't from the foundation, it was from cracked stucco. He didn't try and sell me on something he knew wasn't the issue and I appreciate that a lot! I can't speak to their work, but I wouldn't hesitate hiring them on for any future issues.

Gary Milligan, Atlas Restoration, took the time (almost 2 hours) to try to figure out where water was entering in the bathroom: running a hose outside at various locations. In addition to drain tiles, Atlas installed drains in two window wells which had been clogged with dirt. Three foundation cracks were repaired. The men arrived promptly and, with all the construction debris and dust, did a great job cleaning up. A month later, after a heavy rain, I found a damp area about a foot away from one of the repaired foundation cracks. I called and the men arrived within a day or two and took care of the problem, no charge.

The Company did an excellent job for my project. I called the company, the next day, they send Gary Milligan to my house to do inspection. Gary is very professional, he gave me a very detailed explanation what is the best way to do the water proofing for my house. After signed the contract, they come to do the project in 3 weeks. The construction team has 4 people, team leader John is also very professional. They finished the work in three days, did a very nice work, after work is done, they clean the work site nicely.

The entire project went very well. They were on time and professional at all times.
Description of Work: They installed more than a dozen micropilings to stabilize our sagging foundation. In addition they added six new support columns in our crawl and added one new support beam in the crawl. With this work they were able to improve the level of our floors and to assure us that future settling would be close to zero. While I am not an expert in home structures, it seems to me that they knew what they were doing and did it well.

All five cracks were sealed. For two of the cracks, two carbon fiber wall braces (steel crack plates) were installed. Everything was done in a timely and professional manner. There was a good sized crew and higher level supervisors came to check on the work in progress. It's been a very wet year since the repairs were done and I've had no problems to speak of. Prior to the work, Jason Clesle provided a thorough inspection of my basement and explained clearly why he thought this was the proper solution for my problem.

They were really good. It was a lot of money, but it was less than the other one. I didn't personally go down into the crawl space and look at it, but we did have a village inspection and they say they did a good job.

Terrible, terrible first impression. I reached out to Atlas to request an estimate for some water seepage in my basement. At the exact same time I contacted another company. Atlas scheduled the appointment then called back to let me know that I had to be ok with their estimator removing part of the dry wall above where the water was seeping in to complete the estimate. If I didn't agree to this, they would not come out. So, I cancelled the appointment until I could meet with the first company I called who did not make removing part of the wall was mandatory. They came out and were able to diagnose the problem by viewing a crack on the outside of the foundation. Fast forward 2 weeks and after a rainstorm, I have more water from a different (paneled) location in my basement. Because of the location of this leak, it's obvious that the paneling will have to be removed to diagnose the problem. So I called Atlas and the other company to get estimates on this new leak. Not only was the booking agent at Atlas condescending and seemingly "bothered" by my request, she also told me I would have to remove the paneling myself. Horrible first impression. There are many other waterproofing companies out there. Atlas may perform good work, but I'll never know because I couldn't get past how rude and non customer service oriented their booking agent (Tiffany) was.

We got stuck wth a lemon of a foundation repair job that the previous owners of the home had done in 2014. We bought the home almost a year later in 2015. Atlas corrected every mistake that the previous owners' company made. It was a pricy job, yes. But this is proof that you get what you pay for. The previous owners went cheap. Water proofing companies are a dime a dozen, they are NOT all structural companies. Atlas is the real deal when it comes to structural issues that lead to water penetration into the home. If you're getting water from the walls, make sure you have a professional structural inspector or contractor take a look first. Obviously the home inspector didn't catch anything out of the ordinary prior to our purchase, otherwise we would've never have bought the home. Only through chance did we discover the extent of structural damage to our home.

Atlas was SO professional and caring. They were not the cheapest (actually their quote was the highest) but when you're talking about digging out a huge area directly under your house, I don't think this is where you want to skimp. It was obvious they had the most excavating experience, and several members of their team came over, looked at everything and gave us full confidence in their ability, also providing references of other similar projects they've done. It's a MAJOR project. Our front lawn was torn up and their "Bobcat" excavator dug a tunnel directly under my den and I could hear it moving around under me which was surreal. Bottom line, the project took over a month, they communicated with us every day, explaining what they were doing, and we now have a huge storage area which we never had before. They kept checking with us for weeks after completion, especially after a heavy rain making sure everything was fine (which it was.) Crawl space conversions are not cheap, but if you love your house, need extra space and don't want to move, Atlas has done many of these and did an amazing job for us. I'd recommend them 100%.

Dennis from Atlas just left my house a little bit ago. Couldn't have been nicer. I thought I had water coming up through the floor of my basement. It turned out to be a plumbing-related leak. He gave me a ton of good advice. Clearly a really honest and friendly guy. Even told me to give him a call if I had any questions or needed a second opinion on the plumbing. Really great. Would definitely call them again if the need arose.

Atlas is the best and here is why: Communication at it's best! High quality work! They fixed the front of the bay window support, replaced the wall brick and the walkway under the window. Not just let's get the job done and rush out, but meticulous detail! Good management and hard workers! The price was great for what they did.

EXCELLENT!! Brian who did the quoting was super thorough and patient. He answered all our questions. We chose ATLAS because of this. The other quotes we received were rather vague and we could not get them to come to talk to us about our questions in a reasonably quick time. ATLAS was the most expensive ($2500 more) quote we obtained but we felt so confident they would do good job based on Brian's professionalism. We were not disappointed. The crews were punctual, polite, professional and nice! The five day job was hardly a bother to us at all. I would totally recommend them again, in fact, they are quoting on some carpentry projects for us, too, now.
