Response from Atlas Restoration LLC
After processing [Removed Member name] request for a refund of deposit, we immediately began preparing an invoice and sent it promptly to her for approval, once approved we would issue the full refund. Having not heard back, we sent out the refund after a couple of weeks. I apologize that this process takes some time, and I appreciate your frustration but we wanted to make sure we followed the proper procedures. Regarding the project itself, we did not present [Removed Member name] with a formal proposal (as we customarily do) because we acknowledged that there were several unknown elements to this project. Instead, we presented her with a Budgetary Estimate and explained (we must not have done this sufficiently and again, I am sorry) that this price was Budgetary and could change. Upon investigation, it was determined that the homeowner's existing sewer was not equipped to handle the project we were proposing. There was no way we could have known this prior. We also needed to extend the curbing around the footing because it was insufficient as well - again there was no way we could have known this prior - which is why we produced a Budgetary Estimate. We absorbed the cost of the engineering to ascertain these issues (over $500) and produced a full refund. I really think Atlas did all of the right things at every step on this project and am truly sorry that [Removed Member name] is disappointed. Chris Heintz Owner
