With over 60 years of experience as professional engineers and surveyors, JAS has become well-recognized in the profession for providing clients with comprehensive, yet closely involved, professional services. Founded in 1952 by Joseph A. Schudt, Sr., the company shaped its expertise as the Development Consultant and Engineer of Park Forest, Illinois, one of America’s first, fully planned communities. Consisting of single and multi-family residences, commercial centers and industrial parks, this suburban Chicago community still serves as a model for the development industry after 36 years. Since the 1950’s, JAS has shown consistent growth in expertise and project involvement for national clients with the addition of associate companies throughout the United States. The Problem-Solving Approach encompasses a full range of services from feasibility studies and preliminary facility layouts through site and structural design to ongoing maintenance programs for completed projects.
