The repairman started by insulting Nicor's competence; and then criticized the layout of the stove top. These comments were unprofessional and unnecessary. He then criticized me for having been mistaken about the age of the stove when I talked to him on the phone the day before. On the phone I told him that I thought the stove was about 2 years old; by the time he arrived the next day, I had pulled the paperwork and discovered that it was over 3 years old. Then, in response to his questions, I described how the gas leak occurred slowly over a period of time until the day before (Sunday) when the smell became obvious and overwhelming convincing us that we should call Nicor. I also indicated that I became lightheaded. The repairman told me it was all in my head; that I imagined it because gas does not cause lightheadedness. He went on to say that I just convinced myself that I was lightheaded; that it was amazing what people could do to themselves. I told him that while the lightheadedness may not have been caused by the smell of the gas or the gas itself, it was not in my head and that I would appreciate him not telling me that I imagined it. With that, he packed up his things and left without performing the work. I was shocked that someone so opinionated and aggressively offensive could be offended when someone disagreed with his opinions. I would advise against using Graboserv unless you don't mind extremely unprofessional and insulting conduct.
