Barrington heating sent out a tech who quoted me $1,300 to add freon to my AC unit. This is absolutely out of line! I subsequently hired another company who charged less than $200 to do this work. I called the company and they refused to refund the $95 trip charge I paid. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I called them to fix the problem with my air conditioning. They were at my house for well over an hour and couldn't figure it out. They told me to try stuffing some insulation around a pipe in the ceiling and left. $167 REALLY? I called out another company and they had it fixed in 2 hours.

I have been ripped off, so it went poorly.

They were just fine. It's a small company so I was able to work directly with the owner who also installed the system. That was the up side. The down side was that he's an older gentleman. He's not really technologically savvy. He'd had a hard time with invoicing and emailing receipts, etc. It had its ups and downs, I suppose, but overall I was very satisfied. I got a couple of different quotes and he was basically the same as everybody else. They did an excellent job. He was always immediately responsive, which was good.

They arrived on time. Their professionalism is superb. I like that they take time to explain what they are doing and what they are finding. They also helped by explaining the age of the unit, it's condition and what to expect as far as remaining useful life on it. I have used BH/AC before and have always been fully satisfied. They also recently replaced a water heater at our home. This involved a Sears heater that was still under warranty. After getting certirfication from Sears that a new water heater was approved. Greg went and picked the unit up at a nearby Sears and brought it to the house installation. I get the sense they are always working to keep your business. They, Greg and his son, work conscientiously and quiuckly. I would recommend them to anyome with HVAC or plumbing needs.

Had an appointment to service my air condtioner today and when the technician showed up he said I would have to pay an extra service fee because he was "busy". Really???? I didn't realize people are still trying to get away with bait and switch. Last time I checked, that's illegal. Unfortunately still no air conditioning at my house because I refuse to pay an extra $100.

The person who came out acted like he knew everything abut my furnace, but gave me a totally wrong estimate which I had questioned him on. It was totally wrong. He did admit later that he had gotten it wrong.

IN ADDITION TO ANNUAL SERVICE, A FEW YEARS BACK THEY REPLACED ONE OF THE AIR CONDITIONING UNITS. WE SUBSEQUENTLY FOUND IT WAS AN INFERIOR PRODUCT.
