Description of Work: I was impressed with the service from Welcome Home Cleaning. I purchased an Angie's List deal for a whole house cleaning. The owner was extremely responsive to communication and flexible with scheduling. The attractive part of the whole-house deal was cleaning the blinds and inside of the refrigerator. The women who came were very kind and did a good job overall. They were very careful. They did a good job on a whole house clean. My blinds were very dirty and a bit sticky and were not cleaned very thoroughly. I understand that they were a bit harder to clean than some, but I went over them afterward and just a bit more elbow grease and 30 more minutes and I had cleaned the 3 sets of blinds. Overall it was a very good cleaning but they did not go the extra mile (move furniture, worker harder at blinds, etc) that I might expect for a whole house deal like this. That said, I would use them for a monthly or bi-monthly service. Basic service and pricing was affordable and would be worth the cost.

Description of Work: Purchased this as an Angie's Deal, so price is not "true." Tina came to my house for scheduled cleaning. I had a list which she pretty much followed. Asked at the end that I check her work--all clean! Quicker than I anticipated. Sarah worked with my schedule to reschedule appointments--I was kind of a pain due to some unusual circumstances. |The only drawback that I see is that they don't provide cleaning equipment. Wanted ceiling fans dusted, but I didn't have the long-handled duster to do it. Tina did the best under the circumstances. Would use again

Description of Work: I purchased this deal as a gift for my daughter and son in law who had just bought their first home. They were planning to have the house cleaned before they moved in. Unfortunately Welcome Cleaning was not able to schedule the cleaning at a convenient time before the move. All communication with them was professional and timely. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them if I had a need in the future.

Description of Work: Arrived telling me what she wouldn't do. Very gruff and intimidating. Quality of work was average. I could have achieved same results by quickly cleaning myself. It was basically a spit shine job. No thanks. Not what I was looking for. I never received a follow up call even though I had credit left over from initial payment. Felt like I was scammed.

Description of Work: Even though the deal offer said that they serviced northwest suburbs they responded after I purchased the deal that they wouldn't come to my home in Streamwood (actually in Schaumburg to everyone except the post office). It took a long time to get my refund from Angie's List.

They did a great job on our bathrooms. Description of Work: Hired welcome home for a deep cleaning which included cleaning the fridge and oven. Two ladies were in the home for four hours. They arrived on time and were very personable. We discussed what I wanted and what I did not want to be cleaned and they did everything I asked in a professional and friendly fashion. They even checked expiration dates in the fridge! The house was beautiful when they left and my mother-in-law was very happy with the results.

Description of Work: Worker was very late. I had to call the office when she didn't show up. Office personnel were good about locating where she was and calling me back to say she was on her way. When she arrived she made excuses for being late. I found her to be very unprofessional. When I showed her to the kitchen, she stood there telling numerous stories and complaining about previous clients. She wasted time getting started and was already late and I was paying for a specified amount of time. Despite specifying certain things to be cleaned, such as baseboards, chair rails, and stair rail, she did not do so. She spent 1 minute 'cleaning' the wood floor before she left. It was streaked and dirty when it dried. She was friendly, probably overly-friendly, but should have been more focused on the cleaning.

Description of Work: The girls were prompt, did a fairly good job. A few things weren't done the best. Kitchen floor still had coffee spots on it. They dusted things but on some furniture there were some spills, splatters and drink rings that needed more then a dust rag to clean. They basically did a good job and I would use them again.
