+ -1 moreI wrote above.. please read comments. First experience absolutely wonderful! Second experience awful. Owner - very nice and professional. No, I will not request service from them again and will not recommend.
Description of Work: House cleaning. I requested kitchen, bathrooms and family room. Asked to clean hardwood floor, and wipe down cabinets. Rating this company is difficult because I had two very different experiences. My first experience was absolutely wonderful. The owner is very responsive and prompt. Very professional and personable. My first cleaning was thorough and both cleaning woman were responsive to my area of concern. I called the owner right after the cleaning and let her know how satisfied I was. My second experience was awful. The owner was still GREAT. Courteous and professional...I always received a reminder call! The cleaning service was terrible. They arrived hot and bothered by the heat. They were tired from the previous house. The cleaning was completely different from the first experience. I felt they just wanted the day to be over. They missed so many spots! I don't know what happened? They did not clean requested areas. Ugh ... I won't call them back. Not happy.

+ -1 moreUsed them twice and had a different crew each time, though was under impression from them that same group would show up since they knew the house. Efforts to clean bathroom were mediocre; we had to spend more time ourselves to deal with it. Admittedly the shower had long been neglected, but I was hoping they would handle it all. Crew said they did the best they could. Hmm. Also, in other parts of house we could see residue after the floor was dry which indicated they had not really rinsed out the cleaning rags well enough.

Description of Work: I saw a coupon from Welcome Home Cleaning for $199.00 for 16 weeks.. The company was not too far from where I lived, so I thought I'd give it try. Lisa came today. She's done a GREAT job! She was on time and very friendly. My place looks wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better job well done! The owner Sara is a very nice lady. It is hard to get a hold of her at times, but that's because she too is working in the field. If there were any specifics that I wanted, like a certain type a cleaner used or certain things cleaned, Lisa was more than happy to do so.

+ -1 moreWe had scheduled a second cleaning. They called me a day or two before and asked me to reschedule the time. I agreed, and rescheduled my work day. Then I sat and waited for over an hour and no one showed up. I called, and was told "the girl forgot her wallet and had to go home to get it". Obviously I was not called to be informed of this. Then I was asked to reschedule the time (to the orionally scheduled time), but I was unable to reschedule my work at the last minute , so I canceled. I have not rescheduled since July, and will not be using them again.
Description of Work: The quality of the cleaning service was exceptional. Although, the business is not run very well. I have only used 4 hours of the 16 hours I purchased. We had scheduled a second cleaning.

They bring all cleaning supplies which is very convenient - the owner is extremely nice, flexible and she has excellent customer service. They do a quality job and stand behind their service.

+ -1 moreIt was a great experience! I do not have a cleaning service so I did not know what to expect. They brought all their own rags and cleaning supplies, even a vacuum cleaner. I was impressed with how hard they worked...sweating-kind of hard work!
Description of Work: 2 women arrived for 4 hours of house cleaning. They did everything: besides dusting furniture and vacuuming, they tackled ceiling fans, louvered closet doors, scrubbed bathrooms, washed floors on her knees (by hand, no mop), wiped down door frames, cabinets, washed a few windows and french doors, even wiped leaves on a plant that I had just brought in from the porch!

+ -1 moreI mentioned a lot of what happened above. I wouldn't hire this company. I have wasted $199 on them and hope that no one does the same and can learn from my experience. Sarah, the owner is very nice and personable on the phone. She just needs to hire people that know how to clean.
Description of Work: I bought the "deal" from Angie's list for $199.00 for 16 hours of housecleaning. We were moving into a new house and I thought the best time to try out a new service is to do an "initial" cleaning. The first time they came, only 1 of 2 women showed up. I told them that the cabinets were a little sticky and wanted someone to pay attention to them. Well, she spent the entire time on the cabinets and they were just as sticky as when I first felt them. The rest of the experiences were all the same. 2 women would show up and I would leave the house to go to work etc. When I came back, I wasn't really sure if someone had been at my house. The mud room off the garage was never touched (dirt all over the floor) and this is an important place because this is where we all come in and take our shoes off. The kitchen was the same as when I left. The refrigerator had hand prints all over it (never wiped down) and they didn't move anything on the counter to wipe underneath. (There were crumbs still by the toaster). There are 4 bedrooms upstairs and I think all they did was vacuum the floors. My son's bed was messy (do you think maybe they could have straightened out the comforter at least?) and I'm not even sure if they touched the bathroom. The only thing that looked clean was the toilet. This was by far, the worst cleaning experience I have ever had. I wished I would have looked on Angie's reviews before I bought the deal because I would not have bought it. It seems as though a lot of people had the same experience as I had. I had to have another cleaning lady come out right after to clean my house so it would be clean. I think I should have stayed and not left because my thought is that as soon as I left, they must have left as well because there is no way 2 women could have done what they did in 2 hours.

+ -1 moreThis was the second time I had used them and requested a "deep clean" before a party I was having the next day.The ladies were friendly and they arrived almost on time. With the deep clean I was expecting things to be picked up and cleaned underneath and items on top of counters to also be cleaned. That did not happen and it was just a superficial surface clean like the one I got for half the price the first time. This may be sufficient for some but it is not my idea of cleaning which means everything gets moved and everthing gets cleaned. Also, need to mention that one of the ladies decided it was ok to take something and did not ask until I caught her with it, plus, the 10 minute smoke break was not appropriate.

+ -1 moreI purchased 4 hours of cleaning which was supposed to be 2 cleaning people for 2 hours. I felt comfortable with the two cleaning ladies so I left after 40 minutes. Big mistake. When I arrived home that evening, there was an open garbage bag with the used paper towels floating away at the top of my driveway. After inspecting everything, the only area I felt was cleaned well was one bathroom. The kitchen floor wasn't cleaned at all, the cabinets were not wiped down, some of the floors in other rooms weren't vacuumed, and many areas weren't dusted. I believe that as soon as I left, they just quickly did a few tasks and left early as they mentioned they had another house to clean. I had previously asked for a bid to have a regular cleaning but after this wouldn't consider this company which is a shame because I felt the owner, Sara, was very prompt in providing the bid and in setting up the appointment.
Description of Work: Purchased 4 hours of cleaning for $75 through a coupon offer. I had previously asked for a bid for regular cleaning and based on the size of my house (1,300 sq. ft.) was told four hours would cover all floors vacuumed and washed, all rooms dusted, both bathrooms thoroughly cleaned and all appliances and cabinets cleaned.

Description of Work: Used their coupon offer to have our home cleaned on 3 seperate occasions. First cleaning was a 4 hour deep cleaning with 2 cleaners and the next 2 visits were regular cleaning with one cleaner.

+ -1 moreApparently she is moving back home and some other person is going to take over the business in this area. The original owner did really good work, but her new worker was only fair. The price was good for service because we needed the work performed. The other worker just was not into it. I just told them to do the best they can. I just don't think if they are going to have this person take over continue I don't think she is qualified for the work or I would not use the service because of that.

All three occasions they left before the time they were suppose to stay. and all three times the job was average in quality. They could have stayed longer and done a better more thorough job. while one girl was telling me she was done , I was taking the broom out and sweeping the kitchen floor just to show her that the job was unsatisfactory and she did not seem to care and just wanted to leave.

+ -1 moreI didn't ask them to clean the entire house. I specifically told them to clean four rooms as meticulously as possible, because I knew in advance they would be able to do the entire house. I felt they did a mediocre job at best. When they dusted they didn't picked anything up to dust around, the bathtub still had a film around it and the bathroom floor wasn't mopped at as requested.

I was happy with all rooms; a couple of small things missed in the kitchen I noted later, but to owner's credit, she had me look at everything before she left.

+ -1 moreThe first crew of 2 cleaners was supposed to clean 4 hours each but left after doing only 2 hours each. I was out of town when they cleaned, and I didn't learn about being short changed until the 3rd cleaning. I notified the owner's sister, because she did the 3rd clean, and she said she would communicate this to the owner, her sister Sarah. When I spoke to Sarah (I had to call her) she was only willing to give me a $20 discount on one 4 hour cleaning because she said it was too late to get the remaining 4 hours of cleaning that I did not receive. She said this was due to one of the cleaning crew no longer working for her and because she had already paid the cleaning crew. I guess if I was the owner and wanted to continue the relationship I would have been more flexible and understanding. The cleaning was mediocre and nothing impressive to keep me as a reoccurring customer. After losing 4 hours of cleaning, I was discouraged from continuing the cleaning relationship. I did, however, schedule one more cleaning and requested Sarah's sister as she did a more decent job but in the end I had to cancel the cleaning. I did not feel compelled to reschedule. For 2 cleanings 2 people I gave each a $10 tip. The last (3rd) cleaning was done by Sarah's sister (very nice) and I gave her $20 for the last 4 hours of cleaning. This totaled $60 in tips for 3 cleanings.
Description of Work: I purchased a "Big Deal" coupon for a total of 16 hours; one 8 hour detailed cleaning and two 4 hour cleanings. I only received 12 hours of cleaning. Basic dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping the entire house as well as cleaning bathrooms and kitchen.

+ -1 moreA window was set for cleaning service but no one showed up during that time. I called the office only to get a message that the office was closed. I did get a call later from the service people saying they were running late and giving me a new arrival time. Once they arrived they performed the job and did a good job. I will say, like a lot of cleaning services, they left without putting things back where they belonged such as small rugs, items moved for cleaning surfaces, etc. This is a pet peeve of mine and probably not very important to others. I would probably use them again as long as there was a deal. The rate I was quoted for the regular cleaning fee was much higher than I have paid in the past for the same place.

+ -1 moreShe came and cleaned the upstairs only. She was only there for 2 hours and then left. I was upset that she just left without saying anything. I had to clean the whole downstairs by myself. I called and they offered a coupon for 2 hours of cleaning, but I'm not sure I will even use them again. I needed the full 4 hours of the deal, and wasn't happy she only did 2.

+ -1 moreThey did a fine job, but how big the "window" of time they had to show up kept changing. The first visit, right on time. The second, half an hour after the 1 hour window, the third, 40 minutes before the 1 hour window. They were always done early, and I always found things after the fact I wished they had cleaned. However, they floors were always great and they did a good job in the bathrooms and kitchen. They aren't one of the big professional companies, but you aren't paying their prices either.
Description of Work: I purchased the 16 hours of cleaning for 199. They did 4 hours of cleaning the first time, and 2 hours of cleaning each subsequent visit.

+ -1 moreThe cleaning lady was very nice but unfortunately had twisted her ankle the night before and was limping around the house. I felt guilty asking her to do anything specific because of her injury; she proceeded on her own (I'm assuming) as is customarily done by the cleaning service. Cleaning was not done to the detail that I personally clean my home but maybe that?s standard for most cleaning companies. My husband was not happy with seeing my things left in their place but all his things put away in drawers. The cleaning lady did ask if there was anything else that I needed before she left but I did not ask for anything additional due to her injury. The owner of Welcome Home Cleaning did not follow up with us to inquire how our cleaning went nor did she call to ask if we wanted additional cleanings scheduled.

Description of Work: Sarah did an excellent job on cleaning our condo. She was on time for our appointment and went right to work as soon as she arrived.
