Description of Work: We thought we needed rodding and I bought the special and left a message that this was the Angies list special. They spoke with my daughter and they acknowledged this was the special, but when the guy came he charged $225 and did not say anything about the special. When we complained April at their office said this was not covered. We were also told we have a broken sewer pipe and quoted $2,700, but price not broken out so my insurance won't pay until itemized, but I would not trust them to do any additional work in my home.

Description of Work: We had paid $99 for the "big deal." The company's ad said this was for camera viewing the sewer and rodding. When the company came they said their initial camera viewing showed a small piece of root in one small area of the pipe, otherwise the pipe was in good shape. But they then changed their mind and said a two inch rodding would be insufficient and a six inch rodding or what they called an extensive rodding was needed. It began to feel like dealing with a lawyer. They were now claiming there was rodding and extensive rodding and we needed the "extensive rodding. This they did. A tiny piece of root came out of this "extensive rodding." I wonder what would have come out of the "rodding." The receipt said that their was "massive root growth in joints towards the house." At no time did this company say this to myself. I was then charged $385. So instead of this costing me the $99, by the way i asked the men present before they started had we paid for this work and they said yes, but it then cost me $385. The $99 I had paid in advance as a deposit was taken off this and so the total handed over on the day was $286. I objected to the price and the whole situation and they said they could not do this work for $99 and make any money. But their ad gave the big deal for $99. The ad for this said it was for camera work and rodding. It never mentioned anything about there being different kinds of rodding., "rodding and extensive rodding." I said this to the man in charge. I told him the ad was misleading. It should have said camera work and that rodding could be different prices depending on how bad the root situation would be, and whether rodding or extensive rodding was needed. The man in charge claimed that this information was too much to put in an ad, and that people would be confused by it. This company must think that people are stupid or they just use misleading information to get as much as they can out of their customers. This was not made clear in the ad in any way. It was a misleading ad. I will not be using this company again. I do not recommend this company. And on top of the above this company had my $99 deposit since February.

Description of Work: I took a risk. I was hoping they would forego one of the services and look at 3 sump pumps instead of just 1. They wanted to add $150 to do so; I thought that was way too much.

Description of Work: Vendor immediately started to tell us how much the service may cost if he was unsuccessful at cleaning the drain which I do annually. Once we told him we were going to report him to Angie's , the service was performed smoothly.

Description of Work: I had two Angie's List Coupons. One for plumbing work, one for a sewer line rodding and camera. One was expired, but they honored it anyway. We live in a 1920's bungalow where the plumbing is old and unstable. They spent a good deal of time, taking great care, to fix stubborn leaks and replace broken faucets without cracking the original tile that we love. At the same time, they scoped the sewer line to my satisfaction. All in all, they did an excellent job. They didn't charge me anything beyond our original coupon price, except, of course, for the parts, which they went and bought for us!

Description of Work: Two gentleman came out for an Angie's list special deal. They power rodded our main sewer line and also inspected the main line with a camera. I can't say enough about the company's professionalism.

Description of Work: I hired Ex-Stink to repair a leaky faucet. The plumber finished early, and offered to inspect the plumbing throughout the house. I was impressed with his knowledge and the quality of his work so I had him back to inspect my sewer line.

Description of Work: Televised and rodded sewer line. They did an excellent job and were punctual and informative. I was a bit disappointed when told it would take two roddings (one with 4" cutter and then a second go with a 6" cutter) and the discounted Angie's List deal ($99) only covered a single rodding so there would be an additional charge of $179. Following a brief discussion this additional charge was reduced to $149. Although I ended up paying 2.5x the published deal price, it was still a reasonably good deal.

Description of Work: sewer tv was great option to find disconnected pipe and locate future needs. Little excavation plus new PVC pipe fixed broken connection problem. the plumming service always is pricey but it looks to be in line with other companies. Overall nice people and good expierience

Description of Work: They used the special equipment to scan the sewer with a remote flexible photo-scanner and showed me the pictures. They found the sewer line is clean and does not need sewer rodding and cleaning. They were professional and knowledgeable and friendly. The reason for the test: There was an indication sewer back flow in the basement. It seems to have been caused by heavy rains. This seems to occur in very heavy rain and happens rarely. To prevent it from happening at all, an expensive restructuring needs to done. They gave an estimate of approximately $8000. I chose not to do it.

Description of Work: They sent a camera through my sewer line. Turned out every thing was fine. No high pressure tactics to do more. Very pleasant experience.
