Ex-Stink Plumbing & Sewer

Previous report was inaccurate (mixed up the companies). The contractor attempted to televise the main sewer line however the drain in the back of the property (outside the back door) had a trap about 5' in. The camera used could not go through the trap without the risk of damage due to its size. The guys were able to provide insight to the drainage for the property as a whole and made recommendations on how to handle backup from the city sewer.

Showed up on time. Did the job,left the area clean.

They were great, friendly and informative. The only little thing was they had to move a sort of heavy potted plant to get to the catch basin and I prefer that they had put it back. Minor detail. I would use them again. We talked about the draining of the tub - that it was an old type of pipe so it was inefficient. But they also said the repair would be not worth the cost. Good to know.

The whole process was very smooth. Scheduler gave me a window of time between 1 PM - 5 PM. I called around 3 PM to see when I could expect them to arrive, and scheduler advised me that they'd be there within the hour. Two plumbers arrived very shortly thereafter and completed the job. Both were very professional and helpful. Rodding and televising of sewer line went quickly, and they explained what they were doing the entire time. They weren't scheduled to clean out our building's grease trap, but were very accommodating when I asked if they'd do so, and did a thorough job cleaning the grease trap for us. They were great to work with and we'd certainly call them again.

They came out and inspected that line and the main line. Helped we understand a number of problems and were very conscientious with their work. I also told them I could only do after 6p or on weekends, they said weekends were only for emergencies but that they would fit me in. I will definitely use them again.

The technicians were prompt, professional and thorough. I have used several different plumbing companies over the past years to fix sewer and drain problems at my home and at several rental properties. I was very impressed with Ex-Stink's service and will DEFINITELY use them again.

I was doing a load of laundry and the sewer line backed up a little bit into the bathtub. Having had this experience when I first moved into my house 13 years ago I knew I needed to have the sewer power-rodded. I searched companies listed with Angies List and chose Ex-Stink based on reviews. I called on the 16th of April and requested a service call for the next day. I was told that they could have someone out that day, but as it wasn't an emergency I told them the next day was fine for me. I was told someone would be out between 9 and 11am the next day and the technician would call before they came. The technician did call about a half an hour before they were going to be there. Two technicians showed up on time, Myron and Harold. They were very professional, performed the needed sewer rodding, and cleaned up after themselves. I received a $30 discount and a 30 day guarantee of workmanship. Because my lot is heavily wooded and tree roots were the issue, they suggested installing an outside sewer access for the following reason: The access from the inside of the house is only 4", but the outside sewer line is 6" so the rod they could use only was able to partially clean the sewer line. With outside access they would be able to completely rod the sewer line. They gave me a reasonable estimate for performing the work and I am considering having an outside access installed in fall. I believe Ex-Stink really cares about their customers. I received a thank you letter for using their services and an evaluation form to rate their service, as well as coupons for other services they perform. They also reward for referrals. All in all my experience with Ex-Stink, Inc was A+

He did what he said he would do, and then some.

Went smoothly. Took the time to check out another clean out line. Also was able to unclog a slow draining line in the basement at a reasonable rate. Also,pointed out to me a pipe line that is started to rust through and will need to be replaced in the near future. Rate was very reasonable with the coupon discount. Thank you.

Located and Assessed the problem. Created a proposal and scheduled an appointment once I signed. The workers came that morning opened the floor to gain access to defective pipe work, hauled away spoils then reinstalled concrete from excavation.

No problems, came on time and completed the work as promised

I originally bought a $100 Big deal for rodding the mail sewer line, including a looking at the line with a camera. This was an incredible deal to begin with, but only got better. For 23 years I have lived in a 90 year old two-flat, and always had to rod the sewer line from an inside 4" pipe. The line is full of roots, and over the years many plumbers recommended that I install an access point to be able to use a 6" blade. The estimated cost was between $3,000 and $4000, which I did not have. Myron put the camera from the inside of my basement and as we looked at the root-filled line he noticed that there was a connection to "something," initially thinking it was a gutter entrance. About an hour later he suggested that I buy a lottery ticket... Wow!!! He located an access opening in my front yard, which has been installed and sealed many years ago. He was truly delighted to be able to excavate it and rod the line from the outside, first with a 2" blade, then a 4" blade, and finally a 6" blade. He will come back next week to install a closure to the opening... The whole thing, with the camera and rodding, ended up costing me $550. He will now come once a year to rod the line from the outside with the 6" blade (he will not need to go through it several times as he had to do this time because of the amount of roots inside. This was an amazing, totally professional and very caring service. to 6"

We didn't have time to get a second quote, so we went ahead with the repair. We don't know if we got the best price or not, but the job they did was done quickly and within the quote.

Went well--guys were "professional"--for plumbers, I guess. They were nice, were thinking about us as homeowners, not just a paycheck, and offered their advice. They did have to come back to re-do a pipe that had a drip (didn't fully glue the PVC, I guess), but did it quickly. They were prompt.

It was great new sump pump works wonderful.

Making an appointment was easy and the guys showed up within the agreed upon time slot. The five hour window for the crew arrival is a bit of a nuisance, but I received a call ahead of time that they were on the way, which was helpful. The two man crew worked quickly and efficiently. We feel we received professional and honest advice. Overall a very pleasant experience.

o I called and requested a specific date that was convenient for me, about 2 weeks before the date. This was no problem. The day before they requested moving back the time by 2 hours because of another customer with an emergency. This was no problem for me although it made arriving on time more important. . The plumber arrived on time and did his job in a professional manner. He had all the tools needed. He clearly explained the problem with the camera and did as much as possible.

Phone answered by a person, even on weekends. Prompt and friendly service. Work done by owner. Cleaned-up after himself. Very pleased.

They actually came to check the sump pump and found that sump pump had died. Then they replaced the sump pump and did an X-ray of the system. They cleaned that up. They dug down to find the access to our pipe to the sewage system and they had dug about 5 feet to find it. It was in the middle of the side walk. What I wanted to know at that time was whether the amount that was quoted to us included what they dug or was it subtracted as I didn’t know. I didn’t get the answer on it as I wanted. I just paid them what they asked but I really don’t know what it was. They did a very nice job and they were very good. They cleaned up everything very well. They replaced all that they had dug. They were very punctual and very professional.

Cleaned out sewer. Suggested a new pump and was able to install immediately. Old pump looked horrible. He also fixed our ejector pump. I was so glad we had service

He was very professional. I felt his group did a good job and they were nice to work with. He fixed it so we could blow out the exterior drainage system in the future if we wanted him to. This would prevent it from getting clogged. They cleaned up after themselves. They were very accommodating as well.
