Ex-Stink Plumbing & Sewer

Ex stink arrived at the prescribed time, with a call beforehand to make sure the time was still good. Upon arrival the gentleman discussed what I needed done and what I expected. He gave a quick visual inspection of our catch-basin and recommended scoping one of the lines running into it. He scoped both that line, and our main sewer line. During the entire process he discussed what we were seeing, possible issues, etc. Later I received a call with estimates for work that we had discussed. Overall it was a great experience - I will definitely return with more work in the future.

It was one guy and he did an excellent job. He offered to address any other plumbing issues we had. If I could have told him where my sewage line was, he would have cleaned that too.

Overall, service was fine. We had bought the deal through Angie's List, but they couldn't do the job with their regular cutters and charged us an extra couple hundred to rod the line. Prices seemed inflated, but otherwise a fine job.

Very happy with the service. They came onsite to provide a quote, performed a free video inspection of the line, isolating the roots to a joint that had been "repaired" 15 years earlier. Turns out that the original repair was substandard and allowed for more root growth. They managed the emergency permits with the village, and scheduled the inspections. They also walked me through the process and had me inspect the old as well as new connections that they made. Due to it being late fall, and the settling that is required the landscaping can't be completed until spring. They did a good job of cleaning up the yard upon completion. I'm very happy that they did show me the seriousness of the problem and the details of the repair as they performed the work.

Ex-Stink was very prompt arriving at my house. They did a number of repairs in a quick amount of time and had the parts on hand to complete them. The cost was very reasonable. He also provided me information on my sump pump system, gas lines and hot water heater. Excellent company that I would call again in the future.

I responded to an Angie's List deal special promotion. Even though the promotion had ended the week earlier, the company honored the deal anyway. They sent Andy as the technician, who rodded our sewer line from the basement drain to the street, then used the a video line to check the condition of the pipe. Even though most of the material was removed in the first pass ( which is what the promotion covered) I agreed to pay an extra $179 for two additional passes with successively larger auger bits to make sure there was no remaining material. The additional price also covered a one year guarantee and promotional coupons for any service I might want in the future. The work was done correctly, punctually, and professionally by Andy and I would not hesitate to recommend either the company or the technician.

Arrived promptly and did exactly what they promised. The video inspection helped confirm the layout of our gutter tiles and other drains.

Have been experiencing a strong sewage odor on and off for a month, especially when using showers or washing machine. Had eliminated sewage pit ejector as culprit. Scheduled a day for the inspection/rodding. Office staff was courteous and got day/time I wished for. Workmen called en-route to say they were coming and arrived promptly. Used tarps to protect my carpets from their equipment taking it to the basement. Opened sewer access in my basement and ran camera down line. Found two breaks in sewer line hindering flow. While line was not totally plugged, it was causing minor backups and standing sewage (source of the odor). I was given "tour" of the pipe over their camera equipment to see for myself. I could clearly see the locations of the breaks. They proceeded to rod out to the street for me. They also recommended repair to the breaks by digging up the line and replacing broken section & reattaching. Provided me with an estimate for their company to do the work. Cleaned up their equipment and left. Apparently, they unplugged my sewage ejector pump (from waste pit) in basement to prevent it pumping while they had the access cover off to rod. Two days later, we had a huge overflow of sewage all over my basement floor from the waste pit because the ejector pump wasn't plugged in. Although I thought I had dodged a sewage bullet by rodding, I ended up cleaning up a large mess. I would have given this company an A if I hadn't had the sewage overflow two days later. Maybe I should have double-checked the system after they left. Could have been my fault too. But I feel that was their job to ensure the system was back to normal at the completion of the work. I felt they were a bit careless. While I intended to get competing bids for the dig-out/repair line job, I am now leaning towards not using them for that work.

It turned out well, they installed a new ejector pump.

I had an outdoor spigot which did not have much water pressure. I did not know whether it would be repairable or had to be replaced. The plumber came out and told me he could probably repair it and if that didn't work out it could be replaced. He was able to repair it in the time allotted and then took a look at another faucet that i was having problems with. the plumber was pleasant, professional and completed the repair to my satisfaction.

Andy and Dave couldn't have been more professional.They arrived on time, explained everything they were doing and answered all my questions. I was very happy with the result.

The guy was really nice, it was great experience. He put the camera down and didn’t see any problems and checked another line for me. He was very honest about what he saw.

They came out and video the line from the house to the outside. There was water standing in the pipe. They pulled out roots as far as they could. Attempted a couple of times then recommended that I have an outside access to the sewer line installed so that a larger blade could be used. they gave me an estimate and were very professional and not at all pushy. had water

They were really good and did a fantastic job. They came first thing yesterday, were prompt, cleaned up after themselves, were very informative and polite.

Got the big deal for sewer rodding and televising. Scheduling was straightforward, and technicians came over on time. They opened up the main sewer line, and pushed the televised rod line inside, very cool. Since the drain is clean, they opted to help clean up 2 sump pumps. One of them has some plant roots all over the inside, and the other has some construction debris. Overall, they did a very good job.

I bought a sewer rodding on the Big Deal. They came right out. They took the toilet off and put the rodding tool down the sewer. They showed me the sewer line on a little moniter attached to the rodding tool. It was very cool. One thing that was not cool was a tree root growing in my sewer line. They cut it out in pieces. Afterwords, when they were finished, they cleaned everything up and gave the toilet a new wax ring and put it back on. They told me my sewer was on the brink of backing up had I not rodded then.

They were wonderful. We’ve had this done three times by another company, and these guys were more thorough. Generally, the service cost me about $300. They were professional, friendly, and I was very pleased overall. I’d use their services again in a minute!

EXCELLENT. very professional and explained what was needed and what they did. Called when said they would and arrived right on schedule. I would use them again. I purchased Angies list coupon and the only added cost above was for the snake to clean the tub drain.

I started to have problems with water going down the drain and toilet bobbling when flushed. I was looking at my emails one day and seen the big deal from Angie's list, it was the $99.00 special cleaning of the sewer and video. After I purchased the deal I called to make an appointment and waited. The day of the appointment the red van showed up and they started the work right on time after talking to me and describing what they will do. During the cleaning they found theat they will need to do a little more cleaning because the pipes have roots. They gave me an estimate and after talking to me they started the root removal. It was painless and I was very happy with the work and the professionalism. The price was fair too. After the job was done they said they can remind me to do the basic cleaning once a year and that they can send me a reminder. I said great and that it. I must say I would recommend them to anyone who has a drain problem.

We had a leak under out kitchen sink, and I told the dispatcher that the leak looked like it was coming from the valve. When the plumber came, he said he could do a temporary fix with tape, but every time we turned off the water from the valve, it would probably start to leak again. The alternative was to replace the valve. I asked him to replace the valve. Even though I had said that the valve was probably the problem, he didn't have one in his truck, and went to a hardware store for over 30 minutes to get one. These 30 minutes were part of the 2 hours that I had bought the big deal for. Did he fix the problem? Yes. Would I use this company again? Probably. And the C in the professionalism category isn't for the plumber, but for the company as a whole. They should communicate better internally.

He was prompt, efficient and professional.

Great. It was not ideal as he had to go through the basement but he did it.
