Ex-Stink Plumbing & Sewer

It's an older house and I asked if Ex-Stink Plumbing & Sewer could fix certain things and they were not able to do that but I don't fault them. They carry around a lot of parts but the house is 50 or more years old. They checked it out and kind of gave me a diagnosis. It has taken more than I want to put into it just to stop some drips, I understand because they have to go and fine the parts and the parts may not have been available.

It wasn't much but Ex-Stink Plumbing & Sewer was very professional, was on time and I was very happy with the service, It was great. He did what he was supposed to do.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I was having difficulties with my toilet's clogging so it was helpful to know that the line was clear, they camera it out to the street so I ended up actually buying new toilets so I knew it was a sewer issue. There was no sense in rodding if you don't need it. I think the experience was good. There was nothing spectacular but everything's good, they were professional, they showed me everything on the camera so I felt comfortable about that. Overall, it was decent.

It was fine. They did it and did a good job.

I called prior to buying the coupon and asked if picture technology is possible when house is on a slab. I was told no problem. When they got here, I was told they couldn't do the imaging because the house was on a slab. Instead they routed a branch of the sewer and suggested tearing up the laundry room floor for a much more expensive project.

Have used these guys before. A little ruff start when they first got here saying that because I have flood control thats not covered by the service I bought. I had the receipts from the last couple of times they were out,after I showed them they got to work .To be clear there was no groaning or banter that was negative after that at all. Nice honest guys that did a good job.

Wonderful they came out and got the sewer working right away I would recommend them as well as use them in the future.

Agreed to hand dig so that our yard would not be damaged by back hoe. Work was done on time. Workers were friendly and professional. Pricing was much better than competitors.

The main was clear so no rodding necessary. I gave a B on price since they told me that they do NOT rod from the basement cleanout for the main without charging an extra $100. The $99 price only applies to rodding from an exterior sewer cleanout. Luckily I didn't need that. On the plus side, since they didn't have to rod, they were nice enough to rod out a downspout drain that was clogged. Just took a minute but they didn't nickel dime me. While they were there, I had them address some burst copper pipes that had frozen before we bought the house (foreclosure). We knew where one break was but when we pressurized the system, we found four more leaks one by one. The guys stayed until the job was done and the system was leak free. They were patient and tenacious and did good quality work.

I made an appointment with pretty short notice in order to use the Angie's List coupon before it expired. They were very flexible with scheduling, and gave me a 5 hour window. Two staff came promptly at the start of the window, 12pm, and got to work quickly! They showed me the sewer line once they got the camera in, and thoroughly explained that I only had one potential trouble spot, where it was, and how much it was blocked. They then offered to do the sewer rodding per the coupon, but that it would only break up part of the blockage, as our drain pipes are larger than the mechanical rodding equipment. They gave me a reasonable quote for the hydrojet rodding, which is necessary for our 4" sewer pipe. It is consistent information and pricing compared to others I've talked to. Through the whole procedure they were friendly and professional, and I would definitely use them in the future!

This was an Angies's List Deal for $99. They used a cutter to clean out the sewer and then using a camera, showed us the results. There were still some roots so for an extra fee they used a series of cutters ending with a six inch cutter to clean out all the roots in the pipe. They then warranted the work for a year. Ex-Stink Plumbing & Sewer came when they said they would and they seemed to do a good job.

All went well. From the scheduling to the job performance and then installation of the new pump. We have hired them for additional jobs since then including toilet installs and also we had a huge upstairs bathroom leak problem that they came out and stopped thankfully - it included needing to tear up our kitchen ceiling to get to the source but at least it was fixed. We were happy with their promptness and fairness in quoting for all thejobs they have done for us. Would use again.

The person said he was the owner. I had 6 inches of water in the basement and he said that cleaning the drain would brake his machine. And that I needed 3 thousanddollars of work. I mention this was an Angie's List and he said that he knew where I live . Plumbing company came, fix the pipe , did additional work for less than 1500 dollars. although I like the name of the company , I would never never call him again .

Very smooth. We need to replace an exterior faucet for my 75+ years old house. After the serviceman examed the case, he honestly gave me the worst case warning that we might have to break the paster wall to reach inside. I agreed to take any consequence, and allowed he to go ahead. He was very skillful, and finally got the new faucet connected, without breaking wall. He had to run to HomeDepot for an old type of faucet, but the whole installation process was pretty quick.

I bought a Big Deal with them, and everything went smoothly. Within a few days of contacting the company, I had two plumbers out to replace a spigot and pipe. They were both friendly, trustworthy, and professional. Would definitely call them in the future!

Worked with Mark Peterson. Had them come out and give me an estimate to replace a small section of my sewer line near my cleanout valve. Was honest about the work that it would take... I did some negotiating and got the price down to $1950.00. Was very impressed by the work. He went and go the permit from Hoffman Estates, the crew came and dug up my lawn, installed the pipe and had it inspected... then filled back in all within 6 hours! Great price - Great work!

Great. Mark and Mario were friendly and helpful. They really knew what they were doing. The whole visit took about 90 minutes. Scheduling was easy with followup calls the day of confirming the exact time so I could leave work to meet them. We used another company to address this problem twice before for hundreds of dollars and they never got it right. With Ex-stink I know the problem was fixed because they showed me and I have the peace of mind of a one year warranty. Will used them for everything going forward.

This was a great experience. We were able to schedule an appointment very quickly. The workers arrived on time and took their time to do the job right. They were really good about showing me the camera view to see all tree roots were cleared and a couple places where the old clay line is broken. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

I was happy with the overall exerience of working with them and have had them price out another 'future project' as well as return to replace the gasket on a toilet and try to fix a Grohe shower valve that was poorly installed (unfortunately that item is still an issue but sometimes it is tough to unravel someone else's work). And the sewer cleaning must have worked since we didn't see a drop during the terrible recent flooding and many neighbors did have sewage water in their basement. WHEW!!!

They called and let me know when they were coming and they came right at that time. They were professional and he explained things. I never understood the root blocking thing but now I think I finally understand it. I was happy with the experience and he recommended once a year cleaning because I do have root blockage. I will consider doing the yearly power rodding.

Their service was contacted due to an offer by Angie's list to have sump pumps checked and the sewer line checked with a camera. Due to the heavy rains this Spring and the fact that my pumps work quite frequently, I could not afford to have them not perform correctly.I called them for their service special. They arrived within two days, called when they were on their way and then did an initail check of my two pumps plus battery back up pump. They also checked my septic line and tank with their camera. As previously stated. We replaced one older pump and replaced the battery. The other two pumps were checked out and found to be working correctly. They did a professional job in a timely manner.Felt very comfortable with the two employees of Ex-Stink.
