Ex-Stink Plumbing & Sewer

They were able to access the sewer line thru the catch basin outside but the lens on the camera broke when they were attempting to insert it into the pipe. Apparently the sewer pipe is broken/misaligned which caused the lens to hit against a portion of the pipe. The plumbers looked over the situation and told me the sewer pipe would need to be fixed and that would involve taking apart part of the catch basin. They gave me an estimate for the job. I also asked them for an estimate for replacing the main cst iron stack in the house, which I know to be corroded. They gave me an estimate for both jobs with a discount for doing both at the same time and also recommended that I get another estimate as well. I was very pleased with the guys that came to the house. They were very nice and explained everything they were doing and were very clear about the repairs needed. I am seeking several more estimates for the work but, depending on any significant price difference, I would go with this company based on the good experience I had with the initial service call.

They moved so fast, I was not able to get all of my questions answered. Part of that was there was another contractor at my house at the same time.

It went fine. I wasn't there for it, but the rodding fixed the problem of backup I was having. He also said I need more rodding---a super-duper rodding, followed by maintenance regular rodding yearly. He might be right, but I want to talk to some knowledgeable friends to check on this. That's not to say I didn't find him trustworthy, just that I try to go for second opinions on everything like this.

The service was great. It was for $99 but we had them do a little bit more work outside the scope of the original project, it was $300 total.

It worked out well. They were supposed to give me copy of the video tape, which my real estate company asked, other than that they did a good job. They were on time and they said they were going to do otherwise. I am happy with the price. I would use them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was great. They came when they were supposed to. It was all positive.

Mark and Harold performed the rodding and then started inspecting the line. They found and showed me 2 faults in the system including a sagging pipe and a broken piece of clay pipe, both requiring action. They provided an estimate for the work and I am determing when to move forward with that work. I would use this Ex-Stink anytime. They explained everything they did, were very courteous, and left no mess. Thanks guys!

Good job on one portion of drain. Found possible problem in main sewer. Did not inspect main sewer line from house. Not included in contract. Did not offer price to include this inspection.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was great. They solved the problem and I was very happy with the work that they did.

Great. I'm using the company for second year.

They were at my house on March 20th for drain rodding which I do every year for maintenance, so I was shocked that less than five months later by basement was flooding. However, they explained that it was another drain that they couldn't reach by rodding. Last time they recommended I put a clean out station in my front yard which I was hesitant to do, but was considering. This time they recommended a second clean out station in my basement. I'm hesitant to add clean out stations and ruin my newly finished floor, but I'll see how it goes. They came over within hours of my call which I appreciated because it was a day before July 4th and every other company said there was an additional emergency fee. Not only were they punctual ... they are funny guys with a good sense of humor which is certainly appreciated by me when I'm up to my ankles in ick. They rodded the second drain and I haven't had an issue since.

I thought there was an issue with my sump pump. They told me there was no issue there. They did say there could be some issues arise in the future in regards to the sewer line, but nothing urgent.

They were professional, friendly, and gave me several options on preventing future back-ups that had been caused by the spring storms. The estimates seemed reasonable in comparison to a couple of the others I received, so I will be likely to contact them for future work.

The work went well. David made ordering the supplies a breeze. He cleaned up after himself and the work done was A+

Everything went well. They found that sewer line was in good shape and did not need additional work. They were professional and pleasant to work with.

I am in a situation where I needed the work done immediately to correct some inspection issues that arose as part of the sale of the house. They came out the next day, provided a bid that day and returned two days later to do the work. We ran in to some issues with the city inspector that required additional work but they were able to react to the change and get the job done on time with what I consider a reasonable increase in the price. The two plumbers, Andy and Dave, were easy to work with and kept me informed throughout the work. I would definitely use them again.

Our old copper pipes are pretty rotten so we want to change them to PVC. Their quote wasn't the lowest but totally worth it. For a big project like this, there wasn't any surprise. They sticked to the original quote all the time. Andy is very easy to talk to and work with. We are very satisfied.

The work was fine. Not very complicated, but the work was well done and in a professional manner. Nothing out of the ordinary.

The sewer line had not been rodded out for at least 10 years and the water was backing up in the basement in bad rains. There were so many roots in the line that he had to start small and work up to a bigger diameter rodder. He solved the problem. It also turned out that he was the same guy that had worked for a crew that came to our house the day after we moved into the house about 20 years ago when we had a similar, though much more severe problem. He did a great job then and now. When the job took less time than he originally thought it would, he discounted what he was going to charge based on his estimate. I would recommend him highly.

I purchased the big deal coupon to have the sewer line rotted and inspected. No rotting was done as I was told upon the technician's arrival the access area was not easily accessble and the coupon did not cover such access. I do not understand because the access point was in an open area where a person and equipment could easily access the serwe line without any hinderance. Indeed, we had no problems with the large camera equipment for the inspection. In addition, the big deal coupon did not indicate that the services would not be rendered at the discretion of technician. I asked about rotting another, smaller line instead. I was told that line was not within the services of the deal and would be an additional cost. The sewer line was inspected with the camera. We found some problems for which I received a large quote to have repaired. This left me with the impression that the big deal coupon was simply for the company to have access to my line to find a larger problem for which they would quote and include the services that were to be performed under the big coupon. The technicians were nice, personable, and knowledgable about plumbing issues. I am confidenet that they could have helped with my plumbing issues. However, they appeared mostly interested in selling a bigger job and moving on to another big deal job. The big deal should have been clearer, services rendered, or my money returned.

There were no additional charges on the big deal. They came out when they said they would. My Sump Pump had like an enclosure built around it and the guy had to climb up over that enclosure to get down in there. He did it without any complaints, and he did a fine job. He was pleasant and everything. So, it was good. I was happy with their work.

Excellent, as usual! They rodded once and then used the camera to check that all the roots have been removed. There were a few roots left so they rodded the second time without extra charge. They were prompt, professional, and polite. Highly recommended.
