Ex-Stink Plumbing & Sewer

Repair was done effectively and appropriately, but the payment/invoicing and communication was not as smooth as it could have been.

Both plumbers arrived early, had to reroute one of the water lines in the basement because of the original duct work blocked the new line. Both spigots works perfectly.

He arrived on time. He explained everything he had to do and gave a cost range before proceeding.

The work and service were excellent. They were able to get out to replace the pump within just a few hours of my call, worked quickly, and did a great job cleaning up afterward. I thought the price was a little high, but given the mess involved in this nasty job, I think it was worth it. I will definitely consider using them again when I need a plumber.

went great. Watched as they televised my sewer line and cleared what was minor root clogging. This was a routine maintenance visit. I will have them in again in 18mos or 2 years.

So, the snow was just coming back up through the lines so we found out that the trap was cracked and in order to replace it you have to go in through the cement floor in the basement. So, we kept it instead because there are other drains in the basement that are acceptable so it wasn’t like we were plugging up the only basement drain in the floor so there’s like 3 floor drains in our basement. They came up with a great alternative to what could have been a very expensive repair. Cause it’s like 120-year-old basement. They came up with that alternative that was much less in expensive. I don’t remember how much it was, but evidently, I was ok with the price or I wouldn’t have called them in. They were great because again they came up with a great alternative plan. They came out within the time. I don’t have any complaints about having to wait. I don’t think they kept me waiting.

Showed up on time, cleared line and identified root cause. Professional and courteous. Would definitely use again.

It went well. The guys were able to dislodge the clog. They worked efficiently and were mindful of my home as they did work (covering surfaces, shoe boots, etc.). Thanks.

I purchased a coupon to have my sewer videoed and rodded. In particular, I wanted my downspout pipe to the sewer line evaluated. They did so and showed me the results. They also recommended that I have an exterior clean-out installed. I did not feel any pressure to do so, and they were fine with me declining. THe company did follow-up with an email quote, which was fine, too.

With the exception of a little miscommunication on price everything went good. Was told price over the phone was $149 for rodding but that was for outside access. Due to having to come inside cost was a little higher. Gentleman was friendly and knowledgeable. Made sure job was done correctly and offered advice with future recommendations. Would use again for sure. Use of line camera enabled you to see the issues on the spot which was key.

Dave and his associate to keg me know their arrival time. They were yet my home when promised. They set up professionally and proceeded to rod the roots and debris out of the sewer line. They were professional and careful to protect our house from debris ----always covering their shoes when entering the etc. I definitely recommend them I would certainly use them again.

The crew arrived early and promptly went to work. there was a lot of debris that they disposed of and kept the dust to a minimum. the job took about two days . I was very impressed with the workmanship and very pleased with the end result. Due to unforeseen problems that were initially hidden and needed to be taken care of the cost was a little more than I expected . otherwise I am pleased with the result.

Phenomenal!! From the initial call to the receptionist who gave me the $109 sewer camera and rodding special to the on-site visit, I was thoroughly satisfied. David (the plumber who came out) was amazing. I've had 3 plumbing contractors come out to the home I just purchased to give me quotes on sewer rodding and make recommendations on existing plumbing system. I'm in Mount Prospect and this area and home are prone to sewer and sewage backups. The previous owners did not disclose the extent of backups the home would get in an average year. David not only did the work I asked for, but he went above and beyond by giving me an overview of the entire plumbing system without forcing any additional work. I became a more knowledgeable homeowner as a result of his overview. I will absolutely call them again.

I have used them for drain cleaning before, and they had a good price for this work. They are prompt, and they are not trying to force anything on you. They knew about the issue 2 years prior to when I had it replaced. I did have a problem and I called them and also another company and they had a much better estimate for the work.

House in our neighborhood are old. Almost all have had to replace tiles leading to street. Ex-stink came out and said we just needed the sewer rodded. Honest company.

We had two different estimates . Each one had their own way of doing the work. Ex-Stink came out on time, assessed the situation and very professionally told us that we just needed it rodded out . It took them about 2 hours and they give a year guarantee.

The appointment was scheduled promptly. Andy and Trevor came late but it was a bad day, so I don't hold that against them. I suggested they rod through the exterior catch basin as all the previous plumbers have done. Andy said it couldn't be done and want to do it from the inside clean-out. The deal specified access to an outdoor clean-out, so he charged me an extra $100 to do the job. I was stuck with no option but to go along, but because the interior clean-out was a smaller diameter, they could not get a large cutter through. They managed to cut some tree roots, but the majority of the roots were still blocking the pipe. He then suggest I hire them to excavate the front of the building to install a T-junction and a new exterior clean-out.

Wow - what a way to wrap up the year - our worst nightmare and thank goodness for Ex-stink Plumbing. We found black water in the crawl space and learned the main sewer line had shifted, causing the sewage to back up into the crawl space area. Ex-Stink put us at the top of their priority list for repairs and worked with us to find an excellent disaster restoration firm to clean up the sewage. During the process they also found that a section of our piping that brought waste water from the kitchen to the main sewer line had collapsed (the previous homeowner apparently had not had the line adequately secured). And like all of that was not bad enough - Ex-Stink also found that some iron pipes behind the wall had rotted out and needed to be replaced. I will say - all of the repairs that were done were not cheap. However - I will also say that the value for what they did for us was incredible. They were there for us every step of the way, worked with us, and ensured everything was working perfectly before they left. We could not be happier and I would absolutely use them again without hesitation!!!
