Didn't show up when scheduled and never called to say he wasn't coming... Played phone tag with Matthew (the owner) for two weeks. When he finally reached me, I described what I needed done. He scheduled a time to come do the estimate and asked that I have a blank check waiting that could be filled out by my father if I agreed to the price (I would be at work while work was being done). Called the night before he was supposed to come (at 8:45pm) asking to reschedule from 10am to 2pm the next day. Again, asked that I have a blank check waiting so he could go ahead and do the work if I agreed to the price. Had my father come and sit all next day waiting for him. He never showed. He never called. Nothing! I not only wasted 2 weeks of my time playing phone tag with him, I wasted over 30 minutes talking to him on the phone about the project, about how incompetent he felt all other stone restoration companies in Chicago were, and random chit chat (he is very chatty), then wasted a whole day of my father's time waiting for him. Over ten days later and still haven't heard from him.

Worst experience with a contractor, EVER! Our initial meeting went well. The owner was responsive, helpful, & reasonably priced. We explained that the installation was extremely time sensitive because we wanted to have Thanksgiving dinner at our home. We were assured the countertops would be installed within a week. He got our money & then it became like pulling teeth to get the job done. He did not return phone calls, made appointments & never showed up, cut the granite wrong, spilled solvent all over our floor ruining the tile, & there were scratches throughout the granite. SLOPPY! Needless to say, we did not have Thanksgiving at our home. I actually had to threaten to sue before he came out & finished the job.
