Will NOT refund money even though requested in proper time. And the money is significant--it is over 4000--yes over four thousand NOT 400 hundred. And I signed a different contract than the one I originally saw--igt was done on an I-PAD... Totally absurd, ridiculous, and criminal. When I called to request my money b/c I had lost a couple jobs in a short period, the guy who originally assisted me (Pretty Nice, Cool Guy--Steve) said the company would NOT refund my money. I requested my money prior to them measuring and ordering material. And the quote to do the bathroom was absolutely ridiculous-- OVER $14,000 to do a bathroom. And I had just done a bathroom--for under 5,000--so I was NOT thinking to originally agree... Craig G--is a snake. He reports will do something (refund money), than when he buys some time (passed the legal time for me) than he switches... TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT!!! I'm NOT DONE. There is a few surprises coming.... BEWARE!!! RUN!!! If I could leave no stars I WOULD!!

I really checked them out. They are an amazing company. Just the other day we signed the contract, stuff was ordered and the sales person came back and introduced me to the project manager. They pull all the permits. They had an ad in the newspaper for like 50% off materials or something. They are audited by the Better Business Bureau and they are not just making up a price and giving you 50% off like some companies do. When they say they are giving you a discount it is off the price that they would have charged just a month before. They bring in what the windows are going to look like and stuff like that on the enclosed thing. It's really impressed me so far. The price I would say is very reasonable. We even decided to make a room larger because we were so impressed with the company and their pricing.

Kept existing one season sun room and made it in to a 4 season sun room. They were awesome.

A salesman stopped by for the initial sale and quote, and he gave good advice regarding types of windows. The installer came by to measure, and then a few weeks later came for the install (with two helpers), which took several hours. Jacob's window installer is great! He did a nice job, and was thorough, doing a good job of clean-up and even pointing out things I needed to finish on one of the windows (the installer had to improvise a bit on account of a half -finished rehab project of mine). The windows are vinyl, and of high quality.

Approximately 7 years ago, Jacobs installed new soffit and facia on my home, as well as a new roof and gutters. I don't remember what I was charged at the time, but I do know that it was competitive. Recently, I noticed that the soffit on my front porch was starting to sag. I called them to come out and take a look to see what the problem could be. The technician who responded was actually early and diagnosed the problem right away. He removed all the soffit panels and re-installed them, anchoring each panel with screws. He also went around my entire house and did the same with other panels he found that had also started to sag. After 7 years, I was expecting to pay a service charge, but I was not charged anything. Their customer service is excellent and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their home. They do excellent work and stand behind what they do.

Replaced 6 windows. The installation team did an amazing job.

The gutters were installed and the area cleaned up. The only reason I knew thay had been her was the new gutter on the house. I had problems with them draining properly and emailed pictures to them. The owner came out himself to resolve the situation. He apologized and explained that a crew who no longer worked for them had done my installation (I live all the way in N. St. Louis county) He then had his guys install a new downspout (which should have been done originally) and fix the flange that attached it to my house. No hassels, no charge! I have ben very happy with the product and their service.

It went fine but we just did not end up going with them. I did not have any problem with their professionalism and their personnel was submitting the bid, it was fine. They were just a little bit more than what I wanted to spend versus the one that I did take.

One thing I liked was that measurements were taken by both the sales rep and the head installer. A previous experience with a big-box store helped me appreciate this service. (The big-box store sent a crew twice to measure for doors and did it wrong both times.) An installment date was scheduled, the crew arrived promptly as promised, and worked quickly. The installment was done in November and the crew did their best to have windows exchanged as quickly as possible to minimize loss of heat at the openings. the patio door took a little longer and the crew put up plastic sheets over the opening to cut down on heat loss. They cleaned up after themselves and worked cleanly. No mess was left behind. The crew was professional, worked efficiently, and the finished work looked good. In the time since the windows were installed, the house has felt warmer during the winter months. I would be willing to do business here again.

I am very happy with their work. I trust the company and the quality of their work. They were also very nice and were happy to answer any questions we had. I am also very impressed by the quality of the windows they put in.

They did a good job. They were very professional and got the work done. If we had any problems we could let them know and they would fix it.

The salesman came and priced the cost of adding new gutters with covers. It was more expensive than a similar job we had done in our former house, however that had been 10 years prior. The salesman was persistent, but pleasant. We went back and forth on price and finally settled on one. He offered additional items, but we decided to only do the gutters. I requested a specific date when I would be off in about 3 weeks for the install. The salesman indicated that he would have to confirm if that date would work. I signed the contract and gave a deposit. I did not receive much communication during time period. Finally a few days before the install, I called and they indicated that they were coming out on that date. The workmen came, removed the former gutters and facia board. They replaced the facia on the front of the house. The back of the house only needed a few feet of facia replaced. However when they saw it, they indicated it needed a few feet in another area, not the area the salesman estimated. Oddly, they charged me for the 3 additional feet ($50), but did not reduce the cost for the 3 feet they didn’t actually replace. The workmen did kindly attach a metal place over a hole we had in our roof. It was higher up above the gutter and this was very helpful to us. The workmen cleaned up everything and the job looked very well done. The workmen were professional. The gutters have not clogged since installing them. We occasionally get spots where the rain flows over the gutters rather rolling under into the gutter. However usually that is a spot that I need to spray with a nozzle. After spraying off some little dirt in a spot like that, the rain usually goes back to rolling back under into the gutter and out the spout. Overall it they did a good job and we are satisfied. We would use their service again.

Waste of my time

Representative came out in response to our request for an estimate and did a thorough inspection on the roof and in the attic. A couple of days later, it hailed, and he came back and inspected for damage,. He told us we had damage, and to file a claim, which we did. After we got our insurance report, he offered to do the job for the amount of money our insurance was paying. We chose to upgrade in a few areas, so we did spend some money out of pocket. He showed us all of their insurance and warranty information. He gave knowledgeable suggestions on what our roof needed (ridge vent, drip edges). He was a lot more informative than the other contractors who gave us estimates. When we signed a contract, he told us the crew would come in 4-6 weeks. The crew came to do the work 4 weeks later. They did the job in one day - about 13 hours. They ended up replacing quite a bit of wood, telling us it was dried out - probably because of poor ventilation. The crew boss stopped by in the middle of the day and at the end. The crew was efficient and hardworking, and did a thorough cleanup job. I was a bit concerned about the crew's water intake, break schedule, and lack of bathroom access. Our roof looks great.

I called and set up an appointment for an estimate. The company said an estimator would be by but couldn't tell me when, just that he would be able to do the estimate and we wouldn't need to be there. I waited three days and never heard a thing so called back and found the estimator had left his business card on the door and one of my kids bought it in. That was it! No estimate...nada! Called back and got a meeting time with Tim...unfortunately had to take some time off of work to make meeting time. Did a thorough estimate and walk-around and said he'd have me estimates back in 3 days or so. Almost 10 days went by (fortunately I had been gathering other estimates from competitors) and I was ready to make a decision but still didn't have Jacob Sunroom and Exteriors estimate. I actually contacted the company through Angie's List and got a response the next day saying they apologized and would have the estimates out the next day. The siding amount was higher than any other estimate, the windows and roofing were competitive, but with the poor experiences I had with the company already, I decided not to go with them.

Representative was polite, puntual and professional. Product appears to be of comparable good quality to other systems on the market. But their price was outrageous. I was quoted $60,000 to build this room and that didn't even include flooring. I received bids from 4 contractors and this was by far and away the highest. Eventually I am getting our room done under $30K total project but I am having to contract out the concrete and electrical myself. Moral of the story is get multiple bids and don't be afraid to bargain. Two contractors lowered their initial price significantly after a week. The one I'm buying from lowered it over $8,000. The sunroom industry is a "try to gouge you" business just like many other home improvement industries.

They were very friendly and nice but were also very high. I will not use them again in the future.

They were very responsive and provided good service through the estimate. I did not choose them, but the experience was good.

After being asked if I was married, and being told that it was required that my husband be present for the estimate, I decided to take my business elsewhere. It is the 21st century, this company needs to drop this antiquated business practice and get with the times.

The experience seemed to go pretty good.

They were super courteous. We had two providers give us estimates. Jacob's came out promptly and explained everything. They came up with a really good plan but it just wasn't what we needed because we have a lot of living space. What we really wanted was patio and pool. I have no complaints other than that it was going to blow our whole budget.

Jacob Sunroom & Exteriors talked to my partner instead of me because my partner was a man. I was the one signing the check and he wouldn't speak with me.
