Let me preface this by stating that I spent several years (in a previous life) as a finish carpenter/cabinet builder... I know what I want and can be pretty particular about the quality of one's work (and I actually wanted to do this work myself but just didn't have time w. family demands). To quickly summarize: Scott is awesome. He's very professional and works quickly and the end result is very good! He trimmed out doorways, windows, baseboard, etc. as part of our partial rehab on a newly purchased (and very old) house. The buck stops at finish carpentry as no wall is plumb or corner square and he knew how to handle all the strange idiosyncrasies our house threw at him. I'll definitely hire him again for other projects and it's great also that he is very skilled in a wide range of trades (wouldn't hesitate to hire him for tile, framing, etc.)

Scott Treynor was very professional. He met with us to go over our needs for the project. He paid attention to the details and put together a proposal. He is a good communicator and generally prompt in both meetings and delivery. We wanted a written contract and permits, and he was reasonable in negotiating all of that. He kept us informed about progress throughout the project. He was responsive when we asked questions. His work is very good, and the place was completely transformed into an appealing home through his effort. He was especially considerate about following the rules of the condominium association and making sure that no mess from the unit found its way into the hallway. This project went pretty smoothly. There were just a couple of problems to solve along the way, and Scott was reasonable in working through them with us. It was a pleasure to work with this business, and we intend to hire them again in the future.
Description of Work: He remodeled a large one-bedroom condominium. He replaced carpet with hardwood; replaced all light fixtures, switches, and outlets; replaced all baseboards, and added crown molding. In the kitchen, he removed all old items and installed new cabinets, countertops, appliances, sink, faucet, and backsplash. In the bathroom, he replaced floor and wall tile, the vanity, and the toilet. In the master bedroom, he removed an odd vanity and sink. He repaired drywall and painted all walls, trim, and ceiling. We supplied many materials -- cabinets, countertops, appliances, light fixtures, and faucets.

As I chose a different carpenter, the project with TCC did not go forward. I think it's important, though, to share information on what to expect from competent, experienced tradespeople in our community.
Description of Work: I sought out TCC's Scott R. Treynor for an estimate proposal for a large built-in bookcase. I selected him because I watched him supervise the building of a parklet in my community, and then checked him out on Angie's List. Scott responded promptly, came to my condo to measure, show me photo examples of his work and discuss design options. Within three days,he sent me an estimate with a design scheme. I feel his pricing was reasonable for the project, but I selected a carpenter who builds only bookcases. I recommend TCC on all other counts, however.

We were extremely pleased with the quality and timeliness of the work performed by TCC Remodeling on this project. Scott Treynor of TCC served as General Contractor. He personally handled demolition, drywall, carpentry and ceramic tile installation (kitchen backsplash and tile floor for powder room) and installation of new cabinets. He also did an outstanding job in coordinating the activities of electrical, plumbing, heating and flooring subcontractors. He provided quality subcontractors and made sure they were available when needed. Scott provides expert carpentry work. Our house is more than 100 years old and he did a great job matching existing wood trim and ceiling molding. The kitchen design company where we purchased our cabinetry was very impressed with the quality of his workmanship. Scott's original time estimate was about seven weeks and he completed the work right on time. This was very impressive considering the fact that we decided to have some additional plumbing work performed which was not in the original scope of work. At the end of the project, he brought in painters who did a great job painting kitchen, powder room, living room and dining room and staining and varnishing all new woodwork. TCC's price was considerably less than that quoted by a contractor recommended by the kitchen design company that sold us our cabinets. We highly recommend Scott Treynor and TCC for home remodeling projects, big and small.
Description of Work: TCC Remodeling did a complete gut remodel of kitchen and constructed a new powder room where a closet used to be and built a new closet by the front door. Work included demolition of old kitchen down to studs, installation of all new drywall, electrical, plumbing, flooring, heating and wood flooring and installation of new cabinetry. Work also included the construction of a powder room in another area of the house. (Original powder room was located in a corner of old kitchen.)
