Progressive Tree Service

Description of Work: We had sudden limb drop occur this past Sunday on one of our old growth trees and had a great experience working with Juan from Progressive Tree Service! He was at our house within 30 minutes of receiving our call and assembled a team to remove the limb and other debris the same day. The team removed an additional limb from the tree and recommended a more intense pruning to be completed in the next week or two. I'm anxious to have the "high and tight" haircut take place and look forward to Progressive's next visit. They left a very clean work environment. Additionally, the limb damaged our privacy fence in multiple locations, even taking out an entire panel. Juan was able to recommend a landscaper who made himself and his team available to come out for the fence repair on Sunday as well. High marks for this Evanston service! Were it not for the gaping area where our tree shed the limb, and the new wood on our fence, no one would have a clue this ever happened.

Description of Work: I needed a very large, old silver birch removed because it was rotting. It was very close to both my house and my neighbor's house, overhanging both roofs, with branches close to windows, and I worried every time there was a big storm. I knew it would be a difficult job! The big-name companies wanted to bring in very large equipment, which due to fences and steps around the house would be hard to do, and thus very costly. That didn't make sense to me, but since I know nothing about tree removal, I assumed it was the only way to go. Juan brought in his team and did the job without the huge crane, and did a fabulous job, at a price far lower than the big names.

He said their projects start at $350 and that what i need wouldn't be be that much and advised me to request a refund. He said this special is to get them out there to do an estimate. Glad he was honest.

Description of Work: A storm broke a large branch from my huge Elm tree. The branch was caught up in some other branches overhanging my neighbors garage. Decided to get estimates for to have the tree removed, as the large branches from the tree could cause serious damage to neighbors and my structures. I decided on Progressive, bids varied greatly the highest was a whopping $14,000. Juan and his crew very skillfully took done the enormous tree, I estimate it was about 90 feet high with the trunk being 8 feet in circumference.
