Mihai and his whole team were top notch. We knew we needed someone with lots of knowledge and experience since our home is about 140 yrs old. We knew we would run into some issues and Mihai was so knowledgable and quick to find solutions to fix everything. He was a pleasure to work with. I will be recommending him to everyone and anyone who needs to remodel a bathroom/kitchen!

Working with Norpro was an overall excellent experience. Mihai, his crew and all his contractors were all great to work with. They did everything we asked them to do in the time frame needed. They were always there on time and everything was finished to perfection. I highly recommend.

Everything went exceptionally well and quickly. I felt comfortable with and confident in the workers and Mihai was on scene frequently. The quality of cabinet installation is top quality and it really looks beautiful. Mihai was able to make adjustments to minimize expense and destruction to the floor. I will definitely use NorPro again!

Mihai and the Norpro crew were incredible. We gutted our primary bathroom and did some minor renovations to two other bathrooms. We did all of this in the pandemic amidst several supply chain issues and delivery delays. Despite all odds against the renovation, Norpro was phenomenal to work with. They were thorough, detailed oriented, and very easy to work with. Mihai communicated with us throughout the project making it easy to understand the timeline and manage expectorations for the project. Excellent! Mihai and Norpro were highly recommended by a friend, so we had high expectations and they lived up to them. We couldn’t be happier with our new bathrooms! Also, we live in a vintage building, so it wasn’t an easy remodel.

I recently hired Norpro to gut and rehab my bathroom and install new vinyl plank kitchen floor. Norman came and quickly grasped the essentials of the project. His estimate is the most reasonable one out of the 3 bids I got. They started on the day they promised, not a day of delay. The contractors working on the project are very skillful and professional. They finished the whole project in two weeks and the results look great. I'll hire them again in a heart beat. I recommended them to all my friends comtemplating home renovation.

Mihai and his crew were excellent to work with. Mihai came and provided a clear detailed quote that thoroughly addressed what was in and out of scope, and worked with me on revisions as needed. When work started, his crew arrived on time, worked hard throughout the day, and left everything clean and tidy before leaving. They were efficient, reliable, honest, hard working, and trustworthy. I never had any reason to be worried about something being left undone; from start to finish, all the work was completed to a very high standard and I felt I was kept informed and updated as to progress and next steps on a daily basis. Mihai kept in touch via email, text, and frequent site visits. We are REALLY happy with our new bathrooms and laundry room; could not recommend this company more highly. All thumbs up.

We were very blessed to find Mihai and his crew to help us with our condo renovation during the pandemic. Mihai was very attentive to details, conscientious, organized, responsive and cooperative, all of which made our project possible since we lives in different state. Mihai was always very accessible and communicated with every little detail which made me feel like I'm there for the whole project. Everyone of the crew was very efficient and professional and a lot of times they were very patient since our project took way much longer time than expected because of the pandemic and the difficulty in getting some materials on time. Mihai was able to find solutions to so many issues and difficulties we faced since our condo is in high-rise building where there are lots of rules and prohibitions. I challenged Mihai many times with different ideas and he was up for the challenge without problems. I highly recommend Mihai and his crew for any project your home might need!

NorPro Services did an excellent job. We were remodeling a kitchen and 2 bathrooms in an older high rise in Chicago and like most older buildings we encountered several age related issues. Mihai Ghiurcuta did an excellent job identifying potential issues before becoming critical and in general was very responsive, knowledgeable and transparent. NorPro's work quality was excellent and its bids/prices were reasonable and fair. I would absolutely use them again.

Working with Norpro was an exceptionally great experience. This is the second home and project we’ve used them for and wouldn’t trust anyone else. Thoughtful, honest and thorough. Work was done in a timely manner and communication along the way was excellent. I give my highest recommendation.

We hired NorPro to remodel our basement. This entailed putting up drywall on the ceiling with can lights, adding a new wall to create a separate laundry area, and installing new closet doors. Throughout the entire project, from initial quote to completion, the project manager Norm was very responsive, professional, and always kept track of the details. The workmen that actually did job were also very professional and we are very happy with the results. We will definitely use NorPro again.

These guys did an OUTSTANDING job. We are in our 70s and I have built four homes over the years and renovated existing structures. I would have to say that NorPro did perhaps the best job that I have experienced in properties built/renovated in seven cities / four states. We had a number of changes requested as they worked along and they always priced the changes very reasonably - which is not usually the case with other general contractors. Also, they kept ahead of schedule and worked with us on needing to get back in ahead of schedule due to my wife having a full knee replacement.

I wholeheartedly recommend Norpro Services, and Mihai in particular! I needed to convert an empty second floor into a bathroom, bedroom and walk-in closet for my daughters. I had never done a build from scratch and I'm so thankful that I picked Mihai and Norpro for the job. The completed project is absolutely beautiful. His crew of subcontractors were professional, courteous and did really high quality work. Mihai has excellent project management skills, is a perfectionist about quality and taking the time to get things right, he's a good listener and also anticipated problems or challenges in advance, which saved us a ton of time. The project was completed on time, on budget, and I could not be happier with the final project. He is one of the best contractors I've ever worked with.

It went remarkably well. We had a lot to get done on an older home with significant architectural details that were respected by NorPro. I met with 9 contractors and I am very happy I went with NorPro. Our renovation took a little longer than we expected but not due to NorPro, instead, the company worked with us as other groups dropped the ball (like the appliance delivery/installation group). Norm was the contractor and, while it was clear he had a lot of other projects going on, he always kept us in the loop and was easy to reach and always seemed like he was available when we needed to talk with him. His plumber, electrician, and generalist (Chris) were also incredible to work with and offered creative solutions to some of the unique problems we faced. We have a little bit more to do one day and I will be reaching back out to NorPro when we are ready to tackle that project.

Based on a positive experience in 2016 for an estimate on a kitchen renovation (I chose the contractor recommended by the designer at that time), I contacted Norpro for an estimate on a complete renovation (down to the studs) of the master bathroom. Again, I was very impressed. I knew immediately I would choose Norpro but felt obligated to get 2 other quotes. Mihai’s questions posed to the designer/Kelly (also highly recommend Orizzonti and their line Lacava) showed his experience and knowledge. Other contractors didn’t come close to giving me the confidence the project would be in good hands. I’ve had a number of negative experiences in previous remodels. I wanted the best this time and his quote was very fair. He and his team are professional, knowledgeable, timely, thorough and do great work. Mihai is very thoughtful and detailed. He plans and coordinates each step and visits the site on most days. He is responsive to calls, texts and emails. Based on my experience, this is a rarity. I was surprised that even during a well-deserved vacation mid-project, he was regularly in contact with his team and responded to a few of my (certainly non-urgent) texts. I cannot say enough how impressed I am with Norpro. I appreciated and trusted any input given by Mihai and his team. Anything unexpected (as occurs with renovations) was quickly addressed. I began to have some doubts about my choice of glass tiles but, now completed, the bathroom is beautiful. I joked I should renovate the rest of my place just to match it. In fact, I now plan to renovate the second bathroom in 1-2 years. There is no question I will have Norpro here for it.

Excellent! This was our first major remodel and we were filled with anxiety about spending so much money and picking the right partner. From the beginning, Mihai's communication was clear and timely. He and his team were always professional and thorough. We are so pleased that we found Mihai!

We hired NorPro to remodel a bathroom. And in our kitchen, they replaced some countertops, raised the kitchen peninsula, and did some electrical work. We've now lived in the place for more than three months, and it seems clear that the renovations turned out well. The owner, Mihai Ghiurcuta, coordinated the renovations and visited our place regularly to inspect progress. He uses only employees or contractors who get most of their business from him, and with whom he has worked for years. I don't hesitate to recommend Mihai and Norpro. My sole regret is that I didn't hire them to do more work in my place.

Mihai and his team were recommended to us by a coworker and we're very glad that they connected us. We wanted to re-do our main bathroom, keeping the existing footprint, but basically starting over with all fixtures, tile, etc. Mihai came by the house to take measurements and got back to us relatively quickly with an estimate that was very clear as to what it would include. He also responded quickly to questions and we agreed to move forward. We appreciated that during the project, Mihai would keep us up to date on when certain members of his team would be there and they were all courteous and respectful of our home. We got delayed during the project due to a couple of unexpected issues (on our end) and Mihai worked with us to get back in as soon as possible. In addition, he helped us with a couple of other items not related to the bathroom renovation, which was very helpful since they would have been projects that were too small on their own. One item that I would note is that NorPro does not provide design services and you will need to secure all of the materials such as tile, vanity, toilet, faucets, etc. This was not an issue for us as we had a very good idea of what we wanted, but something to know if you are not working with a designer. Mihai did provide us with some good recommendations for where to get tile and reviewed our orders for other items to ensure that everything would work. We are very happy with the results of our project and would recommend Mihai and NorPro if you need remodeling services.

Mihai and crew helped us with a complete bathroom renovation and it went great. It took exactly the length of time he said it would. The quality of the work was excellent and price was fair. We would definitely use their service again and couldn't recommend them enough!

My husband found Nor Pro Services through Angie's List. When he came to our home to give us a quote my first impression was here's an honest man. i wasn't wrong. We had our whole condo renovated. Mihai gave us a fair quote and never nickled and dimed us when we made small changes. His subs all did great work and came in a timely manner. We were in constant communication with Mihai. He always took our calls or returned them right away if he wasn't available. The work was all completed within the estimated time frame he gave us. Doing a renovation can be a nightmare for some, but not for us. We have Mihai to thank for that. If you're looking for a general contractor with integrity and a great work ethic, Mihai is the contractor for you.

Kitchen and bathroom fixtures were replaced. All new plumbing from walls out. New low voltage electrical for lighting. New kitchen cabinets and appliances. Mihai has a great eye for detail which helped us avoid problems. When there was a problem he listens well and is a collaborative general contractor.

I could not have had a better experience! Mihai and his whole crew take great pride in their work and deliver exactly what is promised within the estimated time frame. On top of that, Mihai is a pleasure to work with. He involves you in all the details, which takes time but makes you think through just how you want things BEFORE they drill the holes! The cost was at the average of what other contractors quoted me . He estimated the project would take 3 weeks, which was longer than the other estimates, but It was done in exactly 3 weeks with just a couple punch list items which were taken care of within 5 days (amazing). This must be my reward for having suffered through 3 previous, horrible contracting experiences. Mihai is solid, solid, solid!

It was a little concerning for me to reach out to a GC on Angie’s List for a project with a client, but I took a chance and struck “Pay Dirt”! NorPro and his crew were unbelievable through the first project and have been so ever since. It’s often difficult for a GC to work with an interior designer as a “team mate”, but Mihai doesn’t have a problem with it at all. He and his crew always considered my opinion on any of the decisions that had to made before, as well as during the project. You know yourself, remodeling work is always full of surprises and you have to often times be flexible. Drawings and specifications are what should be called the “Wish List”, because it’s what you are faced with once the walls are opened that you have to work with, or around. NorPro Services are the group that you wa t to hire for ALL of your remodeling needs, whether big or small! They will not disappoint.

I did the ordering and Mihai (Norpro) did the work. He and his people are real pros. Mihai solved problems that never even occurred to me. He takes old world pride in his performance. He's so good that I'm using him again for another bathroom.
