Mihai was fantastic to work with! While my home was out of commission, we were staying elsewhere which was expensive. He was able to get my repairs and install completed in a few weeks. Mihai works with a number of associates who really were experts. The plumbers, carpenters, and tile installers were fast but had very high quality work. They were able to fit my cabinets into a fairly tight space without compromising any of my rather tight-fitting appliances. The proof for me was that I had to put my condo up for sale in the fall and was able to sell at a high value given how good my unit looked. My kitchen was a big hit and the rest of my unit looked great. They were timely and were able to keep a tight schedule for getting me back in my unit. I was highly recommend working with them.

Mihai was great to work with - very professional, always responsive, always prompt in responding to questions and concerns, and he just does excellent work. It is clear that he and his partner take a lot of pride in what they do. Our bathroom looks great - and I could not be more pleased. He will not be the cheapest option - but you get what you pay for and I would not hestiate to recommend Mihai and his crew.

Went very well. My contractor pointed out that the tiles I had selected were defective (curved) and that they wouldn't lay right. We then took them back up. Thankfully he had only laid about a box before he realized there was a problem. They came back a week later and finished the job with new tiles and did a really good job. Then a week later I had them come back to frame out my kitchen soffit and then drywall and mud for priming. They also did a great job. Upon further review, the drywall work was not very good. The sanding was not done to produce a nice fine finish and there are subtle mistakes. Nothing glaring, but if you get up close and look at it, you can tell it isn't A+ work.

The experience with Mihai and his workers was great. Everyone showed up on time did the work and answered any questions I had. The tile work that was done was excellent as well as the painting that was done in the bathroom. Mihai completed the job himself by installing the new light switches, vanity, faucet and toilet and did an excellent job. I had a mirror over the vanity that I was going to rehang myself but Mihai offered to hang the mirror for me as well as installing the towel ring and toilet paper holder. Installing the mirror, towel ring and toilet paper holder was not in the original proposal but Mihai is such a nice man that he offered to do this for me at no additional cost. Mihai had to come back the after the job was completed because the receptacle that I use for my blow dryer was not working even though the light was on showing power to the receptacle. Mihai discovered that the receptacle itself was bad and replaced it. I would highly recommend MIhai to anyone that needs remodeling work done and done in a professional manner. Mihai and his workers were professional, punctual and the work area was cleaned up each day before they left. The mess was kept at a minimum considering how dusty it is to have 2 layers of ceramic floor torn up. I will definitely use this company again for any future remodeling work that I need done and would highly recommend this company to anyone.

From the moment we contacted Mihai he was courteous and professional. He understood that texting was the best way to establish contact due to overnight work schedules. He showed up on time, worked to understand the crazy work schedule that limits the weeks in which work can be performed. He got the estimate when promised and it was in line with the three of the four estimates we got. In the future we will need assistance with other projects and Mihai will be first on the list for a phone call. We did not choose anyone to complete the job as we were able to use the resources of a friend who is a professional tiler who became available at the last minute and did the work as a favor.

The Norpro team were very punctual. They were respectful, neat, precise and thorough. They went out of their way to ensue everthing was perfect. As part of the remodel they needed to remove old floor tile, the sink, cabinet and toilet. Everything was done very well and very professionally.

From start to finish of our bathroom remodeling job, Mihai Ghiurcuta of Norpro Services, Ltd. was professional, reliable and trustworthy. He and his team also did a first class job on our bathroom. When Miai said that the team of workers would be here at 8 a.m. to start demolition, they were here at 8 a.m. On successive days throughout the project he would tell us the time the workers would be here the next day and they were always here within a few minutes of the scheduled time. They hung protective plastic to protect the rest of our condo unit from dust and put down drop cloths to protect our hardwood floors. At the end of each day, they made sure the areas they used were cleaned up. He scheduled the plumbers, electrician, tile installers and dry wall installers/painters as accurately as possible. When problems arose behind the walls in our hundred year old building, he had to re-schedule and he did it without missing a beat. The only time there were delays was the result of three separate rough-in inspections that were done by the Village of Oak Park. We agreed that our contract could not account for unforeseen issues under the floor or behind the drywall. As could be expected, problems arose and he negotiated a fair price with us to correct the issues. Of course, the proof of the pudding in in the tasting. The final product was everything we expected. We are very pleased with the work of Mihai and his team and we appreciate the fact that he finished it quickly in our one bathroom unit. We wholeheartedly recommend Norpro Services, Ltd. to anyone who is planning to remodel.

The quality of the work was excellent. Mihai finished in a timely fashion. There were some changes in scope, but the cost was very reasonable. Mihai apprised us his progress and all challenges along the way and came up with good solutions to any potential problems. I hope to use him again on another project.

The experience was absolutely excellent. Mihai managed to be both professional and easy to work with at the same time. His estimate was the best one we received and he kept to it almost exactly. They started the work on time, worked every day until they finished, and finished it on time. I am likewise very pleased with the quality of the work which was done, and the thoughtfulness with which they offered suggestions and ways/ideas with which to improve what we were trying to accomplish. We have probably hired 15 different contractors in the last 10 years for various projects in our church, and this experience was in the top two or three. We would use him again without hesitation, and wholeheartedly recommend them to others.

We couldn't have been happier with Mihai and his workers. Mihai's attention to detail was wonderful. He went out of his way to do not only what was required, but what was needed to perform an excellent job. After demolishing the bathroom, he saw in the wall that an exhaust vent from another bathroom had been installed incorrectly. He obtained a new vent hose and installed it properly, and did not charge us extra. He went with us to the supplier for our vanity and sink because they were wall-mounted and he hadn't installed that kind before. He wanted to see exactly how the showroom vanities were installed so he would do it correctly, and he did not charge us extra. The project took one week longer than proposed, but he was so careful with details that we were perfectly okay with the extra time. We lived in the house during the construction, and he was careful to have everything cleaned up at the end of each day so we wouldn't be tracking dirt around the house. The total cost of the remodel was $23,200, of which $11,800 was for NorPro's services. We wholeheartedly recommend Mihai and NorPro.

Let me just say if we have any other renovations in the future or friends who need referrals, Mihai will be first on the list. Our bathrooms were outdated and definitely in need of a refresh. From our initial meeting to get a bid, Mihai was very easy going and by far the favorite choice. You really can't get a better rate for the work. Mihai and his subcontractors were very professional and friendly from start to finish. They worked very quickly and finished the work as fast as I think any person possibly could. We were sensitive about our wood floors and they tried their best to limit their mess. My wife and I were overall very pleased with the final product. There were some minor cosmetic issues, but Mihai was very diligent in making sure we were happy with the final product. In addition, we threw in last minute items that were not originally discussed and he was very open to adding them to the list. He even fixed some damage left by another contractor. Whenever there was an issue he was easily reachable. I believe the ease of communication with him helped make the project go as smoothly and easily as it did. He worked really well with our condo building that has limitations and rules in place that could easily make work more difficult. Hire them if you are looking for someone that is: - professional and friendly - clean (as much as you can be while doing renovation) - prompt and quick - great with communication - very reasonable and fairly priced If you don't like these things, then you may want to go with someone else. I told them to separate things out and of course, they did not do it. They gave me just a flat quote. I think the $3200 quote was better than the other quotes I had received. They were good about it. I become so disillusioned that I decided to put the project on hold. I still think that these prices are high. I had $1400 to do all of the window seals in this house. Then have this guy do a small floor, clear out the old stuff and put new stuff down and put in two new thresholds and do two window seals his price was 3200. I could not force myself at that price to do it. They gave me a good quote, but they did not follow through with what I wanted, by separating out the numbers. They were good about getting back to me. I really did not have them do any of the work. They were good, but they did not do I told them to do.

This is the 2nd time I worked with Mihai. I highly recommend anyone who wants to do some renovation to talk to Mihai first, let him have a chance to serve you. Both experiences are great. I asked him to installed tiles in the laundry room, and a range hood. Because last time, the experience was so great, I just gave Mihai the lockbox and he managed to finish the job without me supervising in the condo. The job was done professionally and quickly. I had a big renovation in my condo, and interviewed several grade A contractors from Angie's List. A good contractor will finish what he has quoted you and explains the work in detail, and an excellent contractor will go beyond that. During the tile installation, Mihai told me that there was signs of water leakage on the drywall, and he found that the leakage was due to the hot water valve and suggested me to hire another plumber to take a look. I was very happy to work with Mihai again. I would definitely suggest him to my friends.

It's an excellent experience to work with Mihai. Mihai and his crews are very professional and very responsible. I would definitely recommend Mihai to my friend and also work with him in the future. The bathroom had been demolished by a contractor my friend suggested, and replaced new plumbing. Unfortunately, I decided to remodel the bathroom to close to Christmas system. I will need to wait for ten more days to let him finish the job. Therefore, I decided to hire another contractor from Angie's list. I scheduled about 10 top grade A contractors to get quotes for my bathroom. After interviewing 10 contractors, I decided to go with Mihai because of his knowledge and the decent price. When giving me a quote, Mihai had his own guy to install a shower glass. Yet, I told him the quote is higher than the other grade A contractor from Angie's list. Mihai even called that contractor and talked with him and told me to go with the other contractor because the price. During the renovation, Mihai showed me several mistakes that my previous contractor made. He and his crew find a work-around way to fix the issues without increasing too much on the original quote. Mihai called me several times if there is anything needed or when there was some designed that he needed to communicate with me. He offered excellent opinions and flexible about modifying the designs. There are a lot of good contractors on Angie's list. I'd suggest if you need to remodel something, at least talk to Mihai first. It's a great experience to work with Mihai. I'd like to work with him and recommend to my friends.

Mihai and his crew were amazing. I could not believe their responsiveness, flexibility, professionalism and overall friendly demeanor. Every single worker was courteous and very detail focused. Mihai is a perfectionist. He even came back a month later to fix the sink when the faucet pressure was not steady. We are thoroughly impressed and would recommend them to anyone looking for a remodel.

This was the best experience I have had with a contractor. To put that in perspective, I've had three single family homes and two four-flats remodeled in the last 6 years. Mihai came out for the first appointment, looked at what we wanted to do, and understood how quickly I wanted to get it done, since we would be living in the house during the remodel. He got a detailed estimate back to me right when he said he would - a good sign from the beginning. His estimate was not the lowest - I had one other for about 5% lower, but I had two others for substantially more as well. Work began right on time, and stayed right on time from the start to the finish. People were working here every day. Mihai and his crew are a pleasure to work with. They did a great job, and were very careful about the rest of the house, and made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. They all offered good advice when asked on the handful of small issues that came up during the project. Of course there were a few extra things that we needed to have done as we went along, and these were incorporated without affecting the timeline. Mihai and his Norpro crew show up when they say they will, do what they say they're going to do, in the time they say they will do it, do a quality job, and for the price they've agreed to. If you've used many general contractors at all, you know how unusual this is. For my next project, I don't need to shop around for contractors - I'll be calling Norpro again.

Mihai came over to give an estimate and we agreed on on a price, he and his assistant came over on day & time arranged and did an excellent and professional job.

I found them to be excellent with their quality. They were very neat and cleaned up every day. They were very polite and payed attention to detail. The contractor was present most of the time. I would recommend them to anyone.

Mihai was always punctual in calling back, provided the lowest and most reasonable proposal. Norpro Services was always punctual with their appointments. He explained everything, wrote it in the proposal, and answered all questions. His contracted workers were friendly, professional and easy to work with. They were also punctual. They took great care to cover all my furniture and carpeting. They were diligent and treated this job as if it were their own home!

We found Mihai and Victor to be responsible, excellent communicators and problem solvers. Victor was patient and detail-oriented. He was able to solve an issue in which a wall had not been built out as far as it should have been to meet the bathtub ledge. He also suggested slight design changes and tile placement that improved the cohesiveness of the space. In summary, we would describe Mihai and Victor as friendly, professional, organized, creative and honest craftsmen with strong work ethics. We would recommend them to others.

Mihai is wonderful...super nice guy. I first hired him to refinish 4 rooms of hardwood flooring that were quite damaged and I was not sure that the end product would be good at all. Mihai is amazing at refinishing hardwood floors. My floors are over 50 years old and now look brand new...I mean absolutely amazing. The tans and browns he recommended are bold and shiny and it looks like a million dollar job. His estimate was sooooo affordable. I'm talking hundreds less than his competitors and his work looks like I spent a million dollars, no joke. If you need your floors refinished call this company b/c you will NOT get a better deal anywhere else. As for the kitchen and bath remodeling, this company does prefer to do complete gutwork and not small projects as I was looking for just for resale reasons. Also, they do not work with laminate and your only options is granite which unfortunately I cannot afford at this time. In addition, you need to obtain the measurements and materials kind of on your own. Mihai will give you names of contractors but this company is more of an installation company. I'm sure the price would have been great though but being 7 months pregnant I required a company to come in and do EVERYTHING for me as I could not be calling different contractors or running to Home Depot, etc. to order supplies. If you have a little more experience and know exactly what you want and have time to do some finding of your own supplies then this company is for you. Regardless, the floor finishing is top notch!

Mihai and his workers were great!! He explained everything that the job involved and answered all questions I had. He recommended the type of glass tile that would work well in the shower area. The tile was installed professionaly and beautifully. I love my shower! I highly recommend Norpro Services!

.We have worked with a number of contractors in the past, both for home improvements and commercial installations. Mihai, who heads Norpro, was a thorough professional from start to finish. We agreed to a work calendar which he stuck to; he was always available by phone to discuss and resolve issues that arose in the course of the work; his recommendations of vendors were excellent; and he closely monitored the progress of his team on a daily basis. Also, the craftsmen, including painters and masons, did outstanding work in all phases of the project. In the past, we've had problems with unreliable remodelers, and Mihai and his men were extremely reliable all through the project work. Also, they were extremely neat and clean. They were careful to cover floors and carpeting with tarps, and cleaned up thoroughly after each day's labors. In all, we couldn't have been more pleased, and note that all of the other recommendations we read on Angie's list before hiring Norpro matched our experience. At best, home remodeling can be emotionally stressful, and Mihai made it (almost!) a pleasure.

The installation was fantastic. They did a very good job in all aspects of the installation...which took about a week. If I ever had a need for tile work again, I would definitely call them.
